SHOULD HAVE BEEN A MUST HAVE!

So y’all know that I name items that I ADORE (and I think all of you will ADORE as well) MUST HAVES.   See a quick little review of all of the MUST HAVES I’ve named previously over the last 3 years HERE.

But I got to thinking the other day, there are other items that I have….several items in fact…..that are definitely MUST HAVES for me.   I didn’t name them MUST HAVES when I first got them because I didn’t know how  they would become so important to me.   Some of these items I’ve had for almost 2 years, and they are all items that I reach for again and again.  And again.

And again.  😉

Besides the military jacket, all items seem to be fully stocked.  Some of these items I wear daily, and others I reach for at least a couple of times a week.  They are NECESSARY for me.  Personally, I MUST HAVE these items in my life.  😉

So, what are they?  Well, they are obviously items that you have heard me talk about many many times before.  And get ready, this is a long post (because I give you lots of past pics with me in these outfits), so get comfy.  I present to you, my SHOULD HAVE BEEN A MUST HAVE list….

1. MILITARY JACKET

Y’all know I love a good military jacket.   So much that over the last 4 years or so I’ve collected 5.  Now before you judge, they are all quite different.  Short, long, sweater back, peplum hem, and various other details make them all quite different. THIS one was my most recent purchase, but it has very low stock… so I thought I would give you several different military jacket options out there right now.  Because it doesn’t really matter what military jacket you have, as long as you just have one!

The one on the left is one I personally own, and I’m LOVING the cool style of the one 3rd from the left (and it’s ON SALE for a great price)!  These jackets often times come in navy, khaki, light pink, etc……but the army green is my go to.  It’s neutral with a punch, the color goes with pretty much everything, and it adds such a great element to so many outfits!  And in case you are wondering, April isn’t too late in the year to order a military jacket.  I wear mine even through the summer on cool nights and when going to places that I know have serious a.c.!  😉

2.  RAINBOW WOOD BEAD TASSEL NECKLACE

So I picked THIS NECKLACE up last spring.  And it became a FAST favorite.  I’m telling you, I wore it constantly. 3.  STELLA AND DOT ARROW NECKLACE
In many of my posts I’m also wearing THIS necklace.  It’s sweet, dainty, and layers well with many  different necklaces.  I also wear it on it’s own some too with simple v-neck tees.

It’s really hard to see in my pics because it’s so delicate, but in real life, it adds such a nice little touch!

4. GORJANA GOLD HOOP EARRINGS

These are hands down the most worn earrings I own.  I highly recommend the original circle hoops I’ve been talking about for almost 3 years now that are by Gorjana!  I wear them at least 3 times per week.  They are expensive at $59, but the quality is awesome.   They are large, but still dainty and super light, and I love them!  And they make a big statement.  I know many of you have these earrings!

7.  LANCOME LIPSTICK – FASHION ICON

Erika and I share a strange similarity.  We both only own 1 shade of lipstick.  Now, we have lots of lip glosses (I like to switch up the color with the different glosses), but I always wear THIS ONE SHADE of lipstick.  It’s called Fashion Icon and it’s from Lancome.  It’s the only lipstick I wear, so I obviously wear it every. single. day.  It looks a lot darker online that it does on me or even just in the tube.  Just look at any picture on my blog, and it’s what I’m wearing!  You can also get an idea by looking at the picture below.

8.  JO MALONE FRAGRANCE

I’m not really a perfume girl (it always ends up either making me nauseous or giving me a headache), so I didn’t wear any for years.  I think it was Erika that initially told me about Jo Malone fragrances sometime last year after they were recommended to her.  There was a period of a couple of months where almost every time I would go to the mall, I would go by the perfume counter and spray one of the fragrances on because I wanted to see if I could handle the scent throughout the day.  Well, I loved every one I tried.  In fact, I loved several of them so much that I couldn’t make up my mind.

So, when Melanie talked about JO MALONE WOOD SAGE AND SEA SALT last year around Christmas, it pushed me over the edge and I told my mother-in-law to put it on my list!  I know this sounds weird, but apparently I really enjoy smelling like wood sage and sea salt. 😉  #whoknew

Now I wear it every day.  And if I forget to put it on in the morning, I’m totally bummed.  Other favorite scents that I’ve sampled:  Nectarine Blossom and Honey and Orange Blossom.

9.  BOBBIE BROWN LIP GLOSS

So I have lots of lip glosses in my make-up bag (I typically have 3 glosses in my make-up bag at all times)…and even more in my make up drawer.  I use them to change the shade of my lipstick, and I just don’t feel totally ready without a shiny (and often times, a bit sparkly) lip.  I also love MAC lip glass and NARS (I love Sweet Dreams the most  ), but my current favorite is PINK SEQUIN from Bobbi Brown.  AND GREAT NEWS!  All Bobbi Brown make-up is 20% OFF right now!  Click HERE to shop all Bobbi Brown products!  I have recently started using her loose powder and her pressed powder, and you know I love the shimmer bricks (I use them lightly all over my face and heavier as an eye shadow).

12.  NARS TINTED MOISTURIZER

For years I wore a heavy base…and then for years I only wore mineral powder foundation….and then I found this product.  NARS TINTED MOISTURIZER is light and airy, has sunscreen in it (SPF30!  so important!), and it evens out my complexion and just makes my skin look great.   My shade is GROENLAND.   If I’m running out of the house to just do an errand or two I might just sweep some powder over my face, but I prefer to have applied this product if I’m going to run into anybody that I know.  🙂  It has 111 5 Star Reviews, so I’m not the only one that is totally a fan.  Click HERE for my make-up post with all of my faves!

13.  BEAUTY BLENDER
I accidentally left his little guy at the ranch house awhile back, and when I had to apply my make-up without it (like I had done my entire life), I could hardly stand it! Not only does the make-up go on so much smoother with this little beauty, but my hands stay much cleaner too!  I promise you that after using this you will NEVER want to just use your fingers ever again.  This thing is magic.

14.  NUDE LEATHER FLATS

So it took me awhile to get these flats, but man am I glad I finally did.  They are the comfiest flats I own.  And they come in 18 colors.  EIGHTEEN.  And I’m not the only one that adores these shoes.  There are 693 5 STAR REVIEWS on the Nordstrom site.  That’s pretty dang impressive.  You’re only getting 1 outfit shot with the shoes for a couple of reasons.  One, they are still pretty new to me so I don’t have many outfits to show yet.  Two, this post was super time intensive and I’ve run out of steam.    😉  Just know this, the nude color goes with EVERYTHING (duh), they really are stupid comfy, and I know you’ll love them as much as I do.
