It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know about some of my favorite things!

These two are precious. PRECIOUS I TELL YA. Seeing their bond is definitely a favorite. 😉 I mean, look how Buddy has his legs just thrown on Charlie!
They now both weigh almost 46 pounds!!!!! When we got them on July 1st they were 9.6 pounds (Charlie) and 11.0 pounds (Buddy). That’s some serious weight gain y’all! 😉
So, although they are just about the same size as each other now, I still think they are pretty easy to tell apart. Buddy is on the left below, and you can see that he’s quite a bit lighter than Charlie. Buddy is also a little bit wider, and Charlie’s face is a little bit longer. They are both just as sweet as can be, and we feel like we have made great strides in the last couple of weeks. We haven’t had an “accident” in over 2 weeks, they ask when they need to go out, and they aren’t as hyper as they used to be either! The one “issue” we are still having is that they like to wake up at 5:30 a.m. If we could just push that back one hour, we would be thrilled!

We are in full swing with fall sports, and watching our guy play is definitely a favorite. Carter is loving playing outdoor soccer for the first time, and he’s doing a great job at goalie! He’s played indoor for 2 seasons, but this is our first outdoor adventure. Here he is with his friend Jude after one of our recent games!

I’m working with Nordstrom today to bring you some of my favorite picks for your man! Specifically for when he needs to look extra fine in some dressy duds!
Nordstrom carries a wide variety of men’s clothes at various price points (some of their brands are realllllllllllly nice), but almost everything I’m highlighting today is from their Nordstrom Men’s Shop house brand. The Nordstrom Men’s Shop features lots of items at very reasonable price points, which is awesome. I don’t know about your man, but mine does NOT like to spend a lot on his clothes.
My favorites below are the half zip pullover (looks seriously sharp and can be worn with nice suit pants or jeans) and the flat front cotton pants (because nobody needs to wear a pleat anymore if they don’t want to). 😉 The solid polo shirt is a basic that pretty much every man needs several of, and this one comes in 12 different colors. My guy insists on a traditional fit (hates the slim fit option), and this particular polo has 40 5 STAR reviews! I truly feel like everything in this collage has a place in every man’s closet.
The brown slip on dress shoes have 201 5 STAR reviews, and also come in black and rust. These shoes are obviously dressy enough for work, but not dressy enough that they couldn’t be thrown on with a pair of jeans.

A new favorite is this Clinique chubby stick , which I added to my make-up bag just last week. When I do full make-up, it takes me about 5 minutes….but often times I do like a 30 second make-up routine. The 3o second routine involves a swipe of my loose powder and/or illuminating bronzer over my entire face, and then I use this stick in on both my cheeks and lips. It allows me to feel a little bit made up (and add some color to my face) with very minimal effort.
The 2 other products shown are samples. Almost every time you order a beauty product from Nordstrom, you have the option to choose 3 samples (there are usually like 10 or so to choose from). If they are offered, I ALWAYS choose the Jo Malone fragrance and whatever mascara is available. The Jo Malone sample size fragrances are perfect to keep in your purse, and I’ve been using sample size mascaras exclusively now for over a year. I like the size of the wands, and I’ve never had a mascara I swear by, so these are the perfect solution for me!

I have the longer Lush tunic (and named it a MUST HAVE several years ago), but I don’t believe I’d ever even tried this shorter version. On the advice of several readers, I decided to go ahead and give it a try! I’m wearing it here in “moonstruck”, but it also comes in black, off white, and a really light blue.
It’s much shorter than the lush tunic, and it’s smaller overall. The material is also a bit different, but not in a bad way at all. Just different. I actually really like the feel of it! I sized up to the medium for a relaxed and flowy fit, and in addition to wearing it with jeans, I think it would look great paired with work attire. I like it a lot. It’s flattering, comfortable, and can be easily dressed up or down.

If you’re looking for a mascara to swear by, try Lancome’s Monsieur Big mascara! I used to use three mascaras every day and now only use that one! It’s awesome!

Hi, Just a quick suggestion for the puppy potty issue. Sometimes it’s hard to pick up on puppy queues when they need to go. I found an idea that takes the guesswork out! I hung bells on the inside back door of our house and whenever we’d take our puppy out, we’d ring the bells before we opened the door. It did not take her long to figure out the bells meant bathroom. So, now she’s almost 2 and when she has to go out, she’ll nose the bells and we can hear them all over the house and we know one of us has to stop what we’re doing and let her out. She only rings the bells when she has to go potty. It’s a great trick and guests are impressed, too! Lol!
