It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means!  It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!

FAVORITE #1:   Girl’s Trip to Round Top

Last Friday some girlfriends and I packed up and headed to Round Top for the weekend.  (If you don’t know what Round Top is, it’s a 3 week long flea market that happens twice a year in Round Top, Tx.)  WE HAD AN ABSOLUTE BLAST.  Here’s what I was wearing for the trip on Friday.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the top.

We made a stop at Magnolia on the way down.  Because MAGNOLIA.  That’s Meagan, Narci, Me, and Keely!

Our best meal of the trip was HANDS DOWN off of the crepe truck behind Magnolia.  That’s a club crepe and a sweet potato hash you guys.  YES FREAKING M’AM.  I cannot even tell you how good it was.

We stayed at The Belle of Round Top.  LOOK. HOW. PRETTY.  I mean, talk about curb appeal.

We started shopping bright and early Saturday morning, and Keely made the first purchase of the weekend.  If the Round Top Chamber of Commerce wants to use this pic for the circular next year, I totally understand.  Call me.

Saturday morning shopping called for a selfie in the flea market mirror.  This was the best one I got.  Apparently my selfie skills need some work when other people are in the picture!  Ha!  #iwillworkonthat

FAVORITE #2:  Short Sleeved Plaid Top

So when shopping online at GAP for Carter, I hopped over to check out their women’s selection.  I don’t know why (because I used to wear GAP a lot), but over the last several years it fell out of favor with me.  But I took a chance on this top and LOVE it!  For size reference, I sized up (I often do in button ups) and am wearing a medium in the top.

FAVORITE #3:  Old Navy Jersey Dress

I continue to get tons of e-mails requesting tunics appropriate for leggings (see 2 posts I’ve already done this year HERE and HERE). This jersey dress is from Old Navy (just under $30!) and is definitely leggings appropriate!  At almost 5’4″, I’m wearing the petite medium.  I didn’t want it being too clingy at all (which is why I sized up to a medium), but I also didn’t want it long (which is why I went down to petite).  It also comes in regular and tall. For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the leggings.

It’s a great look, and I promise you’ll feel like you are wearing pajamas.

As you can see, the dress (even the petite dress) is plenty long on me!  In fact, I wish it were a bit shorter.  You’ve seen me in the scarf with jeans and a tee, but it looks great with this dress as well!

FAVORITE #4:  Mix and Match Mama EATS

So my friend Shay has her 3rd cookbook out.  And as you know, her family just adopted another precious little girl, so now they have 4 kids!  And I’m sitting over here with 1 kid and no published books.  But WHATEVER.  🙂 #yougoShay

I loved her first two books….but I am OBSESSED with this one.  It’s divided by month, and the meals recommended are all very seasonal.  It’s awesome.  Check out October!  Some of the recipes found in this month include:  taco chili, brown sugar brisket, and caramel apple cider cupcakes!  I just love how it’s organized, and I love how the recipes have pictures to go with them.  I want to know what something is going to look like before I cook it!  Click HERE to order the book.  And remember it makes a great gift!

FAVORITE #5:  Free People Cowl Neck Sweatshirt

Girls! GREAT NEWS! All of these colors of this awesome top are NOW ON SALE! I know so many of y’all are just as obsessed with this top as I am. In fact, I’m pretty sure there will be some of you that get all the colors (you don’t already have). For size reference, I wear an x-small/small. I got the wine yesterday morning, but I love the powder blue too!  Sizes and colors are going fast! Favorite #7:  LOFT top ON SALE (and everything else at LOFT)!

So this plaid peasant top is now 40% OFF.  It is great for this time of year.  It has 3/4 sleeves, but it’s light and airy.  I’m wearing a small, so I think it’s true to size.  I think I’ll also wear it with my grey jeans.

FAVORITE #8: THE PEA COAT IS FULLY STOCKED AND ON SALE!

I know ya’ll have seen this same picture around 23,000 times…but the pea coat is BACK IN STOCK.  AND IT’S ON SALE!  For $37.90!  I don’t have another picture of me in it yet because it’s still 182 degrees where I live, but I can hardly wait to actually wear it.  I wanted the camel color when I bought my olive one, but they were sold out at that time.  I don’t need two of these coats, but I sure do love the camel.  It’s so chic!

And more good news. My grey jeans are BACK IN STOCK as well.  Some of the sizes are on backorder, but they are set to ship later this month.  I have a 27P in the jeans.  I’m almost 5’4″.
