It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika and Andrea to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now.

CARTER’S 14th BIRTHDAY
My baby boy turned 14 last Saturday, so we headed up to Norman for an OU game and to celebrate him all day. We had a blast. It was a night game (6:00 kick-off), so we left about 1:00, and we got back home at about midnight. #worthit
OU struggled in the first half, but we scored right before halftime and then dominated in the 2nd half. Thank heavens, because traveling for a win is so much more fun than a long drive home after a loss. 🙂
I love a night game, and the atmosphere did not disappoint. A cold front did come through in the middle of the game, and we went from sweating to literally shivering from one quarter to the next. It was wild, but memories were made!
I always get chills when there is a fly over during the National Anthem.
Chris and I loved our time at OU, and it was so much fun being back.
Right now this guy thinks he wants to go there too. Only time will tell, but we would of course love that!

7 AFFORDABLE FALL OUTFITS
Did y’all see my post with Walmart on Monday? I featured 7 fall outfits where EVERYTHING I was wearing (with the exception of the bags) was from Walmart. I absolutely LOVED everything I featured, and y’all seemed to love it all as well!
Because yes, the clothes are all super affordable….BUT THEY ARE ALSO DARLING. Click HERE to get to the post.
I had two dresses that arrived after Monday’s post went live, but they definitely deserve a feature as well!
Are you dying over this asymmetric ruffled midi dress, BECAUSE I’M DYING.
To me it looks like a high-end dress from Anthropologie that could easily be sold for like $230. But y’all, it’s $34. THIRTY-FOUR DOLLARS.
It’s 97% cotton and 3% spandex, which means it’s got a bit of give to it (which I require in a button up). The colors are gorgeous (I’m wearing the red swirl dots), but it also comes in basic black as well as three other vibrant patterns. I’m telling you, it looks much more expensive than it is. This is a great dress.

This flutter sleeve midi dress is going to blow your mind. It’s $19.98. The scoop neck, the belt that ties at the waist, and the color and pattern all lean a little bit western to me, but I dig it.
I really like the dress (as do several other reviewers), but there’s one review that made me lol…
REVIEW LEFT ON SITE: It is HIDEOUS. DO NOT get this dress! the material is so stiff and it looks horribly ugly in person. Maybe if I was going to be a missionary in the rivers of Honduras 😒
I don’t agree with that review, but I did laugh out loud. Haha! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

And here I have it styled with my denim jacket and this designer inspired bag.
And now I’m going to show y’all the pieces/outfits I showed you on Monday, but now you get them in mirror selfie mode.
Click HERE for the original post to read all my thoughts and sizing information (and see this fleece styled with jeans). I know I’ll be wearing it with leggings too. It’s not super long, so it won’t work for everybody with leggings. It actually barely works for me.
And I can’t get over that the sneakers (totally Madewell-esque) are under $20.

And while we’re talking about Walmart, I realized that I forgot to share our new blanket with y’all. It’s as if it is a Barefoot Dreams blanket, but it’s not. First of all, it’s just under $25.
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR.
This grey animal print is muted and chic. I love it.
And I really cannot convey how soft and warm it is.
It comes in other colors/patterns too, and the blue stripe would be adorable in a boy’s room or playroom.
I love how it arrived with the bow tied around it because it makes a nice presentation for gifting.
I also grabbed a new rug for the kitchen! It’s soooooooo pretty and perfect for a kitchen (in my opinion). I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a kitchen rug because I expect that there will be spills, so I mainly just want the size, colors, and design to fit my space.
Buddy likes it.
Here you can really see the colors well.
But here’s the deal, even though it’s a great rug, I’m still on the fence if I’m going to keep this one or not. The rug in the family room is predominately red, so now I’m wondering if I want this one to coordinate with the family room rug, but be predominantly blue. What do y’all think? When compared to the family room rug, this one leans more burgundy than red.
If you need a reminder, this is what the adjoining family room looks like.

KOHL’S
I really loved all of the posts on the blog this week, and I had great fun doing my first post with Kohl’s highlighting clothes for the ladies! Click HERE if you are interested in any of the below outfits. And I’m telling you, you need to be interested in the olive green bomber jacket. Because it’s awesome.
Click HERE for the original post to read all my thoughts and sizing information.

Click HERE for the original post to read all my thoughts and sizing information. The booties aren’t from Kohls. They are from Nordstrom and they are on SUPER SALE! We’re talking 57% OFF! Definitely size up a 1/2.

Here’s a close up of my booties. Comfy, Cute, size up a 1/2. Mine are the sand suede, but I think they appear much darker here than they are in real life. Refer to the picture above and the picture on the site for the true color. They were regularly $139.95, and right now they are ONLY $59.98!

I’m so sad because this awesome sweatshirt is now showing that it’s sold out, but I thought you might still want to see the sneakers again. The leggings are awesome too.

MY LOUIS VUITTON
After my Kohl’s post I got tons of inquiries about my Louis Vuitton….which is weird, because I’ve been carrying it and showing it on the blog for at least 8 years now!
It’s called the Sully, but they haven’t made it for years, and that’s a shame BECAUSE IT IS A GREAT BAG.
I love it because it’s big enough to hold allllllll the things, but it’s not so big that it’s cumbersome.
I also love that I can attach different cross body straps to it. The straps obviously make it hands free, and it’s just a fun way to add some extra style and personality to the bag!
I’ve got some great news…. even though this bag hasn’t been made in a long time, you can find a good number of them HERE on eBay and most of them have the “Authenticity Guarantee”. I wouldn’t advise buying one that doesn’t have that guarantee, but I do trust the guarantee! I bought my Pochette Metis from eBay, and the experience was great!

DYSON V8 ON SALE
I know I’ve talked about the Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum being on sale several times over the last couple of years, and I’ll continue to talk about it every time I see it go on sale because I feel VERY strongly that every household should have a cordless vacuum. 🙂
I know so many of y’all have it and love it too! Here’s one of the messages I received yesterday:
Here was my review in case you missed it yesterday (or the other days I’ve talked about it)…
I talk about this Dyson V8 Cordless Vacuum every single time I see it on sale.
AND YOU GUYS! If you’ve always wanted a Dyson stick vacuum, TODAY IS THE DAY! It’s regularly anywhere from like $450 – $500 (depending on the retailer)….BUT TODAY IT’S $349.99! WOW. And if you are a new QVC customer, you might even be able to use the code OFFER to get another $15 OFF! (I’m hoping the vacuum isn’t excluded from this deal! If you are able to use the code, let us know!)
If you’ve never had a cordless stick vacuum, they are quite literally life changing. The freedom of no cord is incredible. We’ve had this model since July of 2021, and we are VERY happy with it. You can vacuum EVERYTHING with it, and I don’t just mean the floors. It moves seamlessly from wood floors to rugs to carpet. And shutters, cabinets, lampshades, light fixtures, our headboard, mirrors, picture frames…NOTHING IS SAFE. The attachments are amazing, and we actually have fun using them. The suction is incredibly powerful (it sucks stuff out from under furniture and you should see the lines it leaves on our bedroom carpet!). And emptying the gunk out of it is sooooo easy. You push a button and it kind of squeegees everything out. I of course love that I don’t have to stick my hand in there.
Using this vacuum is SO SATISFYING. You seriously won’t believe how much hair it picks up. In fact, you will most probably be MORTIFIED when you vacuum your rugs or carpet with it for the first time. Even over a year later, we’re always having each other look at how much hair we get up. It’s nothing short of astounding.

A HANDFUL OF AMAZON FINDS
We are getting a new front door in 3-4 weeks, so I wanted to have a fall wreath ready to go when it arrives. Well, I ordered one a couple of weeks ago and it was TERRIBLE. It didn’t look anything like the online pictures, and to be honest it was just all around ugly. I immediately returned it and tried again.
This wreath was much better and very true to the picture on the site. When I first saw the box it came in, and even after I pulled the wreath out of the box initially, I thought it was going to be wayyyyyyyyyyy too small.
However, after some fluffing, I think it’s perfect!
The colors are gorgeous, and I love the mix of pumpkins, pinecones, white berries, and leaves.
And last, but certainly not least…
I’ve got 3 sweatshirts to show you that I’m FLIPPING out about! If you’re a Lululemon fan, you are going to love these.
All the reviewers are saying they are perfect dupes for the Lulu sweatshirts that are all the rage right now, and they really are! You can find all the Lulu sweatshirts HERE. And goodness, they do look VERY similar, but the ones I’m highlighting today are a mere FRACTION of the price.
It just kind of looks like a regular ol’ sweatshirt here on me, but it’s because I sized up and I don’t think I should have. I’m wearing a large, but if I was wearing a medium, it would be more cropped and a bit more fitted like it’s supposed to be.
The reviews are excellent. This one is the full zip, its fleece lined, it’s got thumbholes, and it has a really cool collar (seen better on the site).
hooded sweatshirt / exact tee no longer available / shorts / slip-0n sneakers (6701 mauve)
I got the olive, but I actually decided I would prefer a brighter color, so I ordered a medium in the aqua green.
I also ordered this pink one in a large, but only because I really wanted the color and they didn’t have it in a medium. This picture shows off the collar really well, and I’m LOVING this pink. (This is the exact Lulu sweatshirt it looks like.)
I also got this one. It’s a pullover instead of a zip up, but it still has the exaggerated collar. I’m wearing a large here and it’s super roomy again. I actually really like the fit, but again…I think the medium will fit more like it’s supposed to. This is the Lulu sweatshirt it looks like.
pullover sweatshirt / exact tee no longer available / shorts / slip-0n sneakers (6701 mauve)
And finally, this one is on its way to me. I love it because it doesn’t have a hood, but it still has the stand-up collar. This is the Lululemon sweatshirt it looks like.

Whew! That was quite a post, y’all. I just had so much great stuff to share, and I didn’t want to wait until next week because I have lots of great stuff already planned for next week too.
Hope you found some stuff you loved on today’s post, and I hope you have a great weekend with your people!

Good morning! I always love your home decor posts! I love the red rug in your kitchen so much as it brings out your beautiful tray. Have a Great weekend

YES! I’ve been there and was so impressed!!!! Good tip, Leanne! xoxo
Carly says
Sheaffer- Opinion on the designer inspired purse? I put in in my cart but didn’t see a review? I love the rug in the kitchen and I like it is similar in color to grt room so it pulls that color into the kitchen. Your kitchen hard surfaces are all darker and the room needs a pop of more vibrant color like the red rug. I think blues are fine as well, but if you do that make sure it is also a vibrant blue color pattern with some red in it. The only other suggestion is a rug in a runner sizing versus the size you have. I can’t see all the space so it’s a guess. Generally I order runners for clients for the space between cooktops and sinks. I do this for a living and live design and homes so I get really passionate about what I see.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Carly! I’ve actually ordered a runner as well to see if I like it better! Thanks for the tips! xoxo
Taylor S says
Oh my goodness I’ve been eyeing those boots since the anniversary sale! Just added them to cart and am picking up curbside at Nordstrom after work today! Eeeek I can’t wait! Thanks Shaeffer for letting me know about the deal!!
Marissa says
How did you know I needed a new front door wreath? I agree with above, I have always admired that tray and the new rug brings it out.
Did you and your husband go to OU together? Looks like a great time!
Have a wonderful weekend
Sheaffer says
We did! We went to high school together too. 🙂 We started dating junior year of high school! 🙂 xoxo

Love the kitchen rug especially against the dark cabinets and floor

Thanks, Michele! xoxo

We are looking for a new front door as well. We are in DFW. Do you have a local place you recommend or did you find your door online?
Sheaffer says
We used Southwest Door & Window (located at 635 and Miller Road) after a neighbor used them and had a good experience. They don’t have a ton of doors to look at in person, but I knew what I wanted and was able to pick something out from a catalog. They have wood and stain samples there to look at as well. We went with a door with glass panels up top and like a bead board look on the bottom. I do recommend going out so you can look at the glass samples and decide on the look and privacy level you want. They sent somebody out to take measurements and they bring the wood and stain samples when they do that so you can hold them against your home. After the measurements, you get an estimate in a couple of days. After you pay the deposit and sign the contract, they say it’s about 6-8 weeks before your front door is made and scheduled for install. Hope this helps! xoxo
Jackie T. says
Sheaffer, what size are you wearing in the asymmetrical dress? Thanks!
Also, if anyone is interested, they carry the same dress in little girl sizes for Mommy and Me.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Jackie! I’m wearing a medium!
Jackie T. says
Thanks! I know if it fits over your boobies then it’ll fit over mine. LOL
