Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
My goodness Friday couldn’t come soon enough.
My little fella has had a cough at night for 2 straight weeks, and neither one of us is getting much sleep. If we could find a cough medicine that actually worked, that would definitely make it to this list.

I’ve never been an UGG girl.
I of course have always understood the function of them, but I just couldn’t imagine spending $150-$250ish on shoes/boots that I didn’t think were super cute.
WELL.
Enter the Cardy Lattice Uggs.
AND JUST LIKE THAT, I AM NOW OFFICIALLY AN UGGS GIRL.
#uggsgirl
Like, they should elect me as their official ambassador or something because I can’t quit telling everybody about my new Uggs. I know they’ve been around forever, but they’re new to me and I feel like it’s my civic duty to make people that have never considered them before OPEN THEIR EYES and GIVE THEM A CHANCE!
They are WARM AS TOAST and DARLING.
Click HERE for these Cardy Lattice Uggs.
Mine are “Charcoal”.
Y’all. I can’t even tell you how toasty warm they keep my tootsies.
You can obviously wear them out of the house, but they are comfy enough to wear just milling around the house too! If you have a teenage daughter or a daughter in college, these would make a great Christmas gift!
If you don’t like the lattice pattern (what’s wrong with you?!?), click HERE for other options! 😉
My sweatshirt is Old Navy, and there are similar ones HERE.
They are on sale for $18, and they are awesome to throw on with jeans.
I’m getting another color for sure because it’s barely even been cool enough to wear a sweatshirt, and I’ve already worn this one three times. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
(No, I didn’t have make up on. And that’s 3 day hair you’re lookin’ at.)
But I bet you hardly even noticed because DANG MY UGGS ARE CUTE!
It’s like you’re getting 2 boots for the price of 1!
Folded down? DARLING!
Buttoned up? OH SO CUTE!
You can’t go wrong.
Can hardly wait to wear them with my MUST HAVE leggings.

5) THIS LITTLE NOOK IN MY HOUSE
This next picture has SEVERAL of my favorite things in it.
First up, this little nook is one of my most favorite spots in the new house. It’s right off the laundry room, and I just think it’s too cute.
The Florentine Leather Barrington St. Anne Tote is also one of my favorite things right now.
See it hanging there on the left?
I have carried it every single day since the day I got it, and I love it more and more each day.
The leather is GORGEOUS, and everything inside it is super easy to access.
Click HERE for the tote and use the code PTMTSHIP4FREE for free shipping!
Can you spy my other favorite things in the picture?
Click HERE for my red Hunter boots.
And yes. I broke down and got the little guy some Hunter Boots of his own.
And I tell you what, they were worth every single penny of the $65 I paid for them.
Click HERE for the little man’s Hunters. Don’t worry, you’ll get more pics of these sometime next week. The day we got them it was pouring outside, and we went outside for some puddle splashing fun and I happened to get some great pics!
(The pillows are both from Home Goods, the rug is from Tuesday Morning, and the County Fair sign and tole tray are both from local antique stores.)
I just love this little space in our house!

One of these days, when I die, will you please make sure Andrew buries me in my charcoal Uggs? He's going to suggest something trampy…can you please make sure it's the Uggs instead? Thanks in advance. 🙂

I have the grey Vigoss jeans and I've worn them 3 times already (and I've only had them a week). And I'm like you, I've never been an UGGs girl, but I think I'm going to give yours a try!
Anonymous says
I feel so smart! I have those exact Uggs and love them! I think this is the first time I've ever bought something BEFORE you. I must be learning something! Thanks for all you do! Hugs, Kimberly
Narci says
I wanted to comment on how I just ordered those uggs, because OF COURSE I DID…but now I am hysterically laughing at Shays comment! Haha! Love it all, girl! And, the uggs are amazing!!
Andrea Munding says
I'm sure you have tried all of the cough meds already, but have you tried Zarbees Naturals Nighttime? It helps my kids and you can give it to them every 4 hours.
Sheaffer says
I haven't tried Zarbees! I've done Chestall Honey and another natural one (that I can't think of right now), but we will definitely try Zarbees! Thanks Andrea!
Rob & Michelle Eberly Family says
Yes, try the Zarbees brand!
dear willow, says
zarbees nightime. the ONLY thing that works. and its all natural!!
Stacy Gardner says
Oh you MUST try zarbees! We have tried everything & it is the only thing that works for my little nuggets!!! Sometimes I do have to give a second dose in the middle of the night but that is rare. Also putting baby Vicks on the bottom of the feet with socks (if he will sleep with socks;)
Stacy Gardner says
Love my UGGS & I wear them around the house all the time! So cozy!
kimm atwood says
Uggs are fabulous !!! Love!!!!
Erika Slaughter says
Lisa was wearing the regular crochet ones on Saturday and I've been thinking about them daily since then. Love those boots!!
dresselfamily.blogspot.com says
I know a cough remedy.. When My mother in law told me about it, I thought she was nuts, but after a week if no sleep, I tried it, and have used this method, and it works every time.
Cover the bottom of his feet with vicks vapor rub, not be stingy with it, and then place socks over the top.. 10 minutes later, not a cough to be heard.. It's the coughing miracle!
Sheaffer says
I've done that before and it worked! However, since this was an allergy cough, it didn't work! Thanks for the tip though!!!!!
Natalie Zambreski says
That nook is ADORABLE. And please hold while I go spend my entire paycheck at Old Navy. 🙂
Lindsay Truax says
Love your tweed puffer vest and your red Hunter boots!!

April Parrish says
So much greatness in this Post!!! I love your UGGS!!!! Love your outfit with the Uggs!!! Happy Friday and have a blessed weekend! 🙂
Shelby says
One of my girls had the same nasty weeks-long cough, and the thing that helped her most was a spoon of local honey right before bed. Somehow this did the trick!
Anonymous says
Have you ever tried Delsym for cough at night? My daughter has allergies and has done A LOT of breathing treatments over the years. When I give her Delsym it seems to take a little while to start working but then we both can sleep!
Jessica says
I second the delsym, I had a cough so bad it split the tissue between my ribs..ouch…this stuff was rec by my Dr over prescription cough meds
Rebecca Jo says
I'm loving those khaki pans & those uggs!!! You make me want to spend money
Stacy says
I swear by Childrens' Benadryl-D Allergy & Sinus. It's the only thing I've used where I can actually tell it makes a difference!
CC says
My little man has asthma so we are super familiar with the nights of coughing. We have been dealing with it for the last week too. If yours is over six or super close try the Mucinex nighttime with diphenhydramine. The d stuff is really the best at suppressing coughs and the mucinex keeps the yuckies from settling in the lungs. If he is under six the mucinex without the diphenhydramine will still help but not as much. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.
Lana says
Hooray for the tweed puffer vest being back in stock. I'm going to go order it right now! Have a great weekend!
Lauren says
Have you tried putting Vicks on the bottoms of his feet and putting socks on? Our pediatrician recommended that, and it worked.
I do have one with asthma, and sometimes they need breathing treatments… But I would try the Vicks!!! It's crazy easy:)
KPribyl says
Have you tried Delsym? And put Vicks on the bottom of his feet at night. Poor thing.
Aimee Reyes says
Sheaffer, I love your posts so much that I look for them everyday!! Have you tried hylands? There is a nighttime remedy too. I find it at HEB, but have seen it at CVS, etc. I also run a HOT humidifier with vapor in my girls rooms when they have coughs. The cool mist ones just didn't work. So sorry about the little guy….it's SO hard when they are sick! Worry, worry.
hollytrippeventdesign says
Try essential oils. DoTerra makes a blend called Breathe that is great for allergies. I put it in a diffuser in my daughters room at night and you can also rub a few drops on feet.
Elaine Shreffler says
Do you know the brand of the adorable rug in your nook? Not only do I want to steal your clothes, but I now want to steal your ideas for your home!!! Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi Elaine! I just looked, and I can't find a brand on the rug. So sorry!!!!!! Thanks for the sweet words!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
Elaine Shreffler says
Thank you for looking….we had our first snow day today here in southern Indiana and I have been scouring the internet looking for one like it! I'll keep at it!!! 🙂
Emily says
I was coming to suggest doTERRA oils for little man's cough, but someone beat me to it! We use breath & frankincense in a diffuser in our son's room and it does wonders. They also have oils that help with allergies- lavender, lemon & peppermint. I can get you more information if you need it. My website is http://www.mydoterra.com/emilywright/
I really might have to pull the trigger on that ON puffer today!
