This guy started 7th grade yesterday and he loved it. He has friends in all of his classes, he really enjoyed his teachers, he got to sit with good friends at lunch, and he is PUMPED about football. We are so proud of the young man he is becoming and can’t wait to see what this year holds!
And my goodness, he’s looking more and more like his dad every single day.
Here’s a pic comparing the first day of 6th grade (on the left) to the first day of 7th grade (on the right). Check out where his shoulders compare to the key hole on the door handle to see the growth! He’s lost the baby face and looks so much more mature!!!! I want to simultaneously bawl and beam with pride. Haha!
Snuggles should always be a Friday Favorite. We’re never short of doggie snuggles over here.
Colleen is having a BEST SELLERS SALE right now!
All of her BEST SELLERS are 25% OFF, which is an incredible deal. Click HERE to see all of the products included in the sale. I’m thrilled for y’all that the cleansing balm, the glycolic acid peel pads, and the face oil #9 are all included.
I use AND LOVE sooooo many of Colleen’s products, but if I had to choose 3, these would be the 3 I would choose. As always, I recommend reading the product descriptions and the reviews to see what products would most benefit you and your skin care needs.
So it’s no secret now that I shop Amazon for just about everything. I mean, WHAT IN THE WORLD DID WE DO BEFORE AMAZON.
Yesterday I hopped on to get Carter art pencils, Sharpies, and folder dividers with pockets….and they will all be here by today. BLESS IT!
However, for some reason it took me a bit to get used to the idea of buying beauty products on Amazon. I’m not sure the reason for my hesitation, but now I’m ALL IN. Their beauty department is VAST. And a ton of stuff you probably already use and usually buy at different retailers, you can actually grab on Amazon.
Click HERE for premium beauty on Amazon.
You can also check out customer beauty favorites.
Below you’ll see a handful of items that I either already own or items that have caught my eye (that I most probably will own in the near future). Look to the top right of each pictured item, and you’ll see that everything I’m featuring today has FANTASTIC reviews. I really encourage you to take the time to check out any of these beauty products that you are interested in. The reviews will tell you so much!
facial steamer / I ordered this for myself several weeks ago. See below for pics and my thoughts.
Maria Badesco / I saw tons of influencers talking about this, so I decided to give it a try for when I have random pimples pop up. I actually haven’t had any pop up lately, so I’m still waiting to try it.
NYX pore filler / I found this product several years ago when I was doing a beauty post with Macy’s. It immediately became a ride or die product for me, so I was thrilled when I realized I could order it on Amazon. Soooo much more convenient than ordering at Macy’s.
drying and styling brush / Y’all have seen me talk about this styling brush for well over a year now. It changed my hair drying game. I put it in this collage as a reminder that Amazon has TONS of beauty tools and accessories.
clear organization drawers / My bathroom drawers, on top of the counter organizers, and under the cabinet organizers are OUT OF CONTROL right now. I have some pretty serious product overflow so I ordered these drawers to keep some of the overflow in my closet.
lip mask / This is another total ride or die product for me. I put it on every single night. I used to only buy it at Sephora, but once again, buying it from Amazon is so much more convenient.
spinning beauty product organizer / I’ve owned this for a couple of years and cannot imagine my bathroom counter without it. The shelves are adjustable, it spins for easy access, and it holds sooooooooooooo many products!
deodorant for Carter / The jury is still out on this. I bought it for Carter because it’s aluminum free, I’m just not sure how it’s going to work. He hates really wet products under his arms, but this seems realllllly dry to me. It’s got great reviews though, so we are going to give it a try.
facial toning masks / I’ve seen these all over instagram land. They have excellent reviews, and influencers swear by them! They are supposed to tone your jawline, chin, and neck.
Okay, so here is the facial steamer that I highlighted in the collage above.
I was seriously influenced on this one. SEVERAL ladies I follow on instagram have been sharing their steaming routines, and I was intrigued. Here’s what the site has to say about it… Relax and unwind while detoxifying your skin of impurities and dead skin cells with your personal, at-home steamer system.
The set also includes the customizable Bunny Ears Spa Headband. It has an adjustable bunny ears closure, it’s perfect for keeping your hair out of the way when washing your face and/or using a mask treatment, applying makeup, and more.
And y’all, I tried to get a good pic of me using the steamer. It was harder than I imagined it would be, but I got a good laugh. Haha!
This was late at night, so the lighting is terrible, but you get the idea. It obviously puts out a good amount of steam.
I’m excited about committing to using this consistently and hopefully seeing great results!
KENDRA SCOTT JEWELRY
You saw this outfit last Friday on a Nordstrom sponsored post, but the earrings and the bracelet are only available at Kendra Scott, so I didn’t link them then.
There was lots of interest in them, so I’m linking today!
And great news! Today the popular heart and star jewelry pieces are 20% OFF! I have several heart and star pieces, I wear them all year long, and I always get compliments on them.
FALL BRACELET LAUNCH
Mark your calendars.
On August 25th my fall bracelet line launches with Victoria Emerson designs!!!!!
I promise you, you are going to want these bracelets in your life.
We’re talking animal prints, leathers, studs, camo, and even some great little huggie earrings.
IT’S SO GOOD, Y’ALL!!! I’m so proud of these designs and I just know y’all are going to love them as much as I do!
I’ll have a full blown Amazon Haul later this month, but I have a handful of items to share today!
This boyfriend button up is a total classic. It’s 100% cotton, and it actually has the feel of a really great seersucker. I fell in love with the blue, pink, and white color combo…but there are several colorways available. I’m wearing a medium, which is often true to size for me in a button up.
It looks great with white denim too.
Do you remember the sweatshirt from the anniversary sale on the left? I shared a couple of weeks ago that I found a similar option at Amazon on the right.
Click HERE for the Amazon option seen above right. It came in last week and I think it’s great. It’s quite a bit lighter in weight than the Nordstrom option. Actually, I would describe it as more of a tee than a sweatshirt, but I still think it’s awesome. It has EXCELLENT reviews, it comes in several colors, and I ordered this dark grey one for myself. I meant to order a medium, but I accidentally ordered a small. I would definitely need a medium if I was wearing it with leggings.
It is my firm belief that one can never have too many lounge sets.
This one is soft, lightweight, and cozy. I like a loose fit with my pajamas, and I like how the medium fits in this set. It comes in 9 color options. I’m wearing the beige here.
This Be The Good tee is obviously great with denim shorts, but for fall, it will also be great with jeans, a cardi, and sneakers! It’s very soft and comfy, and I of course love the message! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
The same link has similar tees that say “Kindness Matters” as well.
Another graphic tee, another important message.
Wearing a medium again.
Summer isn’t over quite yet, and we are just now having some of the hottest temps yet in my neck of the woods.
This kimono is FANTASTIC. I’m wearing the “black” here, but you might remember me already showing it in the turquoise.
Just to jog your memory, here it is in the turquoise…
This v neck pocket tee is a bit silky, it has a pocket, and it’s got a relaxed and longer fit than many other Amazon tees I’ve shown. You can’t tell in this picture because I’m wearing the small, but I know if I size up to the medium it will fit more loose and flowy like it does on the model.
This chiffon wrap dress doesn’t fit me great, but it’s an awesome dress, so I still wanted to show it! If you aren’t busty, this dress will be great on you! I’m wearing the 6 here (and it obviously doesn’t fit across the bust), but I’m afraid if I went up to an 8 that it would be too much fabric otherwise.
Did you see my Target Haul earlier this week?
When posting some of the Target looks on facebook on Wednesday, I had a reader (SHOUT OUT, KASEY!) that posted a shoe collage letting me know that shoes for the family are 20% OFF RIGHT NOW! WOOHOO! (I think it ends tomorrow, so don’t delay!) I loved all 4 shoes that Kasey posted, but one of them was basically sold out, so I replaced that shoe with the snakeskin mules. Click HERE to browse Target’s shoes yourself, but here are some of mine and Kasey’s favorites.
They’re already a great deal, and then at 20% OFF they are a FANTASTIC deal! I LOVE the sneakers below, but I also love these sneakers (the laces are fun). And I just found these neutral flat booties in taupe. SO FLIPPING CUTE!
