Happy Wednesday, y’all!
Well, it’s here.
School starts for us tomorrow.
I could actually bawl about it.
Listen, with 1 kid at home, summers are a breeze. In fact, they are an absolute delight. We stay up late, we sleep in, and we have lots of fun along the way. Carter is excited for the school year, and I of course know it will be great, but I actually love the lack of a routine that summer allows us.
I thought we had everything regarding his supplies and were all ready to go. However, we found out at Meet The Teacher on Monday night that we are missing a handful of items, so we are going to brave the stores today. Fingers crossed there are items on the shelves. I wish all of us that are in the same last minute school supply situation alllllllllllll the good school supply vibes. May the shelves be bountifully stocked!
I actually was just at Target last week grabbing what I thought were the final items we needed. And not only did I get what I needed, BUT NO SURPRISE HERE, some items besides Sharpies and writing composition books hopped into my basket. #oops
And y’all….LOOK HOW GREAT MY FINDS ARE!
Let’s kick things off with this little shift dress. I’m wearing the “purple floral”, and although I don’t typically love purple, I think this is a really great fall floral pattern. And I absolutely love the fit of it. It’s a loose shift with some tiers and some tiny ruffle detailing that’s super feminine. It’s easy, breezy, lightweight, and flattering. And you know me, I love the little bit longer sleeve length. I’m wearing a medium here, but I actually need a small. They didn’t have one in store, but the small is on it’s way to me!

It looks great without any layers (as you see above), but I’ll be wearing this baby all the way into fall with a light jacket or cardi layered on top.
Here it is with my favorite Amazon denim jacket (wearing a small).
I think it looks great for fall with my booties I just picked up at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Since they are sold out at Nordstrom, I went looking for a similar pair, and I found this block heel bootie at Amazon that looks nearly identical! I’ve ordered them so I can compare them and I expect them to arrive tomorrow. I got the 1-Light Brown, but this bootie comes in TONS of colors. Other great neutrals available are the khaki, the light coffee, and the nude.

I think the dress is super cute with this cardi as well. COME! ON! FALL!
It’s got an oversized fit (I’m wearing a small), so size down for sure if you want it to fit more like it looks on the model. I’m wearing the taupe here, but it comes in several other color options including rust, cream, black, grey, and olive. I’m going to style this cardi several other times on today’s post.

Check it out here with this sleeveless camo midi dress. If you’re not into camo (I totally am), it also comes in a striped option and several solid colors.
This dress has seriously fantastic reviews, and it’s ONLY $20. It comes in plus size too.
To be honest, the fit isn’t great on me (a little too tight across the chest), but it’s obviously a great fit on most based on the awesome reviews. Head to the site to check out the reviews for yourself, and if you scroll down a bit, you can see the dress (in all of the different colorways) on lots of different body types.
As you can see, I’ve styled it here with booties, but I think it would be sooooo cute with fashion sneakers as well!

It of course looks great with a denim jacket as well.
And you can find my tote HERE. It’s awesome, totally affordable, and I’ve had it for years. It would make a great teacher bag. I love styling the tote with Madewell bandanas. They add a whole lot of style for only $12.50, and there are so many different colors and patterns to choose from.

Here’s the same cardi you saw with both dresses above, but I wanted to show it styled with jeans as well. It’s a great basic for your closet and an awesome value at $25. Again, I’m wearing a small and it’s still an oversized fit.

This peasant blouse has a tie-closure split neckline and 3/4 elasticized balloon sleeves. I will totally style this casually with jeans, but it’s also completely office appropriate. It’s a soft and lightweight fabric with a pleated bodice that makes it lay nicely. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
This polka dot pattern is super playful and fun, and the dark orange floral option is fall perfection.

I LOVE this 3/4 sleeve top. But before we talk more about it, I want to bring up that the reviewers state that it shrinks when dried (which is why it has only 3 stars). Luckily, one of the newest reviewers said after reading the reviews she decided to wash it in cold water and hung it to dry with no problems! I hang a lot of my clothes to dry to prevent shrinkage, so that doesn’t bother me at all. I’m definitely keeping this shirt.
I love it here styled super casually with my favorite denim shorts and sandals…

And I think it looks great with my grey jeans too.

And last, but certainly not least today, THIS FABULOUS LOUNGE SET.
Y’all.
I love it soooooooooooooooooo much.
I’m wearing it as I type this, and I’m telling you right now, it sparks joy. I love it so much that I think I’m going to grab one of the tie dye options as well. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in both the top and the shorts and I really like the super slouchy fit.
It is incredibly cozy.
The sweatshirt is on sale, the shorts are only $15, and the reviews are near perfect.

There’s just so much good stuff, right?
In addition to these awesome fall clothing finds, I also grabbed this cutie little board. Love the size and love the marble. I mean, the clothes are cute, but they always have great home decor too!
And the Studio McGee line? I can’t even.
So what about y’all? Are you die hard Target fans, or are you more of a once every so often Target gal like me? Do you only buy the essentials, or are you always finding yourself in the clothing and home decor departments when you make a quick run for toothpaste? Sound off in the comments!

I’m an every-so-often kind of gal, but when I go, I GO. And leave with loads of items. LOL!

YESSSSSS! This is me, Kalen!!! xoxo

I ordered the purple floral dress–it’s looks adorable and since it’s hot and humid as all get out here in Ohio, I’m only wearing skirts and dresses for the foreseeable future! Good luck with the final supply hunt today, I hope all of you have a great and easy day tomorrow.

Love this post. Target is the greatest!! Is your denim jacket the light wash? I need a new (non-boxy) denim jacket. I bought the one you recommended from Nordstrom a few years ago but I have completely worn it out. Please let me know your thoughts on a good quality replacement!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Jan! Yes, it’s the light wash. I absolutely LOVE this Amazon one. It’s stretchy, comfy, and a bit longer than the KUT one. I really like the added length. In fact, I like the Amazon one more than the original KUT one! xoxo

I basically order online because I do too much damage in store

Target is killing it lately!!

How does the sweater hold up in the wash? One reviewer said it shed! That’s a no-no for me.
Sheaffer says
I haven’t washed it yet, Lala! Can anybody else comment?
