Nordstrom Gift Ideas and Services for All Occasions

Gifting season is upon us, ladies!  Mother’s Day is right around the corner, graduation is near, and summer always seems to be filled with baby and wedding showers as well.  And you know what that means?  Gifts.  Lots and lots of gifts.  I like for the gifts I give to be thoughtful and personal, but I get easily overwhelmed with all of the options.  So, today I’m working with Nordstrom to give y’all some great Nordstrom gifting ideas!  They have a huge selection of merchandise that is perfect for gifting across all price points for all of the different occasions in your life, and they also have gifting services that are awesome!  Today we are talking about ALL THINGS GIFTING.

From the convenient shopping experience (that will make you happy), to the merchandise quality (that will make the receiver happy), Nordstrom is absolutely my GO TO for gifting, and it has been for years.  I mentioned some gift giving occasions above, but here are some more to think about: birthdays, kid’s birthdays (yes, they have lots of great kid’s toys!), housewarming, teacher appreciation, and anniversaries.  It’s my hope that after today’s post, you will have a mind shift from Nordstrom just being a great place to dress yourself, to Nordstrom being a one stop shop for all your gifting needs as well.  Not only is everything high quality, but the service is impeccable!

Why Nordstrom Gifting?

Nordstrom always has free shipping/returns (I don’t want any of my gifting budget to be going towards shipping), you can buy online or pick up in store, or you can deliver directly to you recipient.  WHICH MEANS YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO TO THE POST OFFICE IF YOU ARE SENDING A GIFT.  #allthepraisehands  And check this out.  For just $5, you can have the gift delivered directly to the recipient in one of these pretty Nordstrom boxes with a pretty silver bow. (To do this, when in your cart you will just click “add message or gift wrap” under the specific item you are gifting.  There you can add a free gifting message that will be included with the packing slip, or you can choose the $5 option.)

Do you have a friend that just had a baby or is about to?  Let her  know how much you love her by sending her one of these.  I can’t even count the number of pictures I’ve received from readers saying “thank you” for recommending the blardigan along with a picture of them snuggling their babies.  (Fair warning, when those babies get older they will try to steal your blardigan from you.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you.)  😉

I also give these to friends that have received hard news, like a personal cancer diagnosis or an illness of a family member.  Blardigans are perfect for cold hospital rooms.  For me, when a friend receives tough news, it’s not just about the blardigan I’m giving them, it’s more about me taking the opportunity to just love on them.  I know I’ve said this before (and I know it sounds incredibly cheesy), but I think giving a blardigan is like giving a hug.  I want them to know I love them and know I’m praying for them every time they put it on.

With Mother’s Day coming up, a blardigan should be at the top of your list to give (or ask for!) if you or a mom on your list doesn’t already have one.  However, jewelry is always nice too, especially jewelry with a bit of a personal touch!  My Kate Spade initial necklace comes in gold (what I  have), rose gold, and silver.  Mine is a “C” for Carter. This is also a great gift for a new bride, with the initial of her new last name. What I’m Wearing

I think this striped crew neck sweater is absolutely precious.  The colors are vibrant, and the fit is really cute.  It’s a top that can be dressed up or down.  I’ve already worn it with denim jeans, white jeans, and denim shorts.  I’ll also wear it with khaki shorts for another casual look with it.  And the shape and fit of this sweater are classic enough that it can also be worn to the office or church with a nice pair of slacks or a pencil skirt.

And check out this cute little cross body.   I love the woven and textured material, and the cognac leather accents are a nice neutral.

The gold bangle is one I’ve had for several years, and it makes an excellent gift.  It’s one of those pieces of jewelry that literally  goes with everything.  It’s pretty alone, but it’s also pretty stacked with other bracelets like I have it here with this hot pink set by Kendra Scott (which comes packaged in a sunshine yellow Kendra Scott box, perfect for gifting).

The ankle raw hem jeans  are some of my favorites.  I’ve had them for a couple of years now, and the fit is perfection.  They don’t sag or stretch out at all during the day.

And you know I love my Shoreline Converse.  True to size for me and so much more comfy than regular Converse.  Plus, I love that you just slip them on (because of the elastic back) and don’t have to tie them.

Best Accessory Gifts

Now let’s get back to gifting.  When giving a gift, I’ve mentioned several times today how I like for it to be packaged beautifully.  Here are two options for brands that package their items in lovely boxes.   Kendra’s pieces always come in these beautiful yellow boxes that can be easily popped into a gift bag with some tissue, or can be handed over just like this with a card.  Gorjana pieces also come in nice sturdy boxes, and there’s always a cute little canvas bag inside the box that says “Live, Love, Laugh.”
