Gifting season is upon us, ladies! Mother’s Day is right around the corner, graduation is near, and summer always seems to be filled with baby and wedding showers as well. And you know what that means? Gifts. Lots and lots of gifts. I like for the gifts I give to be thoughtful and personal, but I get easily overwhelmed with all of the options. So, today I’m working with Nordstrom to give y’all some great Nordstrom gifting ideas! They have a huge selection of merchandise that is perfect for gifting across all price points for all of the different occasions in your life, and they also have gifting services that are awesome! Today we are talking about ALL THINGS GIFTING.
From the convenient shopping experience (that will make you happy), to the merchandise quality (that will make the receiver happy), Nordstrom is absolutely my GO TO for gifting, and it has been for years. I mentioned some gift giving occasions above, but here are some more to think about: birthdays, kid’s birthdays (yes, they have lots of great kid’s toys!), housewarming, teacher appreciation, and anniversaries. It’s my hope that after today’s post, you will have a mind shift from Nordstrom just being a great place to dress yourself, to Nordstrom being a one stop shop for all your gifting needs as well. Not only is everything high quality, but the service is impeccable!

Why Nordstrom Gifting?
Nordstrom always has free shipping/returns (I don’t want any of my gifting budget to be going towards shipping), you can buy online or pick up in store, or you can deliver directly to you recipient. WHICH MEANS YOU DON’T HAVE TO GO TO THE POST OFFICE IF YOU ARE SENDING A GIFT. #allthepraisehands And check this out. For just $5, you can have the gift delivered directly to the recipient in one of these pretty Nordstrom boxes with a pretty silver bow. (To do this, when in your cart you will just click “add message or gift wrap” under the specific item you are gifting. There you can add a free gifting message that will be included with the packing slip, or you can choose the $5 option.)
Included in the $5 gifting fee, you can include a short message to the recipient, and a handwritten card will be included on the front of your gift! STOP IT! And if you are trying to get something to a mama on time for Mother’s Day, you have guaranteed delivery if you order by 3:00 p.m. EST on May 3rd.
The small gift message reads: To The Graduate – Always remember to enjoy the journey. xoxo, Sheaffer. (The box contains this bracelet! What a perfect graduation gift at a great price point!)
The larger gift message reads: To The Mommy To Be: Every mommy needs a blardigan when snuggling her little one. That’s right, every mommy needs a blardigan. Actually, I think that every human needs a blardigan.
Blardigans Make the Best Gift
Do you have a friend that just had a baby or is about to? Let her know how much you love her by sending her one of these. I can’t even count the number of pictures I’ve received from readers saying “thank you” for recommending the blardigan along with a picture of them snuggling their babies. (Fair warning, when those babies get older they will try to steal your blardigan from you. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.) 😉
I also give these to friends that have received hard news, like a personal cancer diagnosis or an illness of a family member. Blardigans are perfect for cold hospital rooms. For me, when a friend receives tough news, it’s not just about the blardigan I’m giving them, it’s more about me taking the opportunity to just love on them. I know I’ve said this before (and I know it sounds incredibly cheesy), but I think giving a blardigan is like giving a hug. I want them to know I love them and know I’m praying for them every time they put it on.
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
With Mother’s Day coming up, a blardigan should be at the top of your list to give (or ask for!) if you or a mom on your list doesn’t already have one. However, jewelry is always nice too, especially jewelry with a bit of a personal touch! My Kate Spade initial necklace comes in gold (what I have), rose gold, and silver. Mine is a “C” for Carter. This is also a great gift for a new bride, with the initial of her new last name. It comes in a pretty little turquoise and white sleeve with the gold Kate Spade branding. Such a pretty presentation!
Here are some other great jewelry options for Mother’s Day:

Big or small, if you choose the $5 gift wrap option, the gift will be shipped in a regular shipping box, and then the gift box will be found inside.
What I’m Wearing
I think this striped crew neck sweater is absolutely precious. The colors are vibrant, and the fit is really cute. It’s a top that can be dressed up or down. I’ve already worn it with denim jeans, white jeans, and denim shorts. I’ll also wear it with khaki shorts for another casual look with it. And the shape and fit of this sweater are classic enough that it can also be worn to the office or church with a nice pair of slacks or a pencil skirt.

Here’s all the jewelry I’m wearing in the post:
(All of these pieces would make great gifts)
I love the button detailing on the back.
And check out this cute little cross body. I love the woven and textured material, and the cognac leather accents are a nice neutral.
The gold bangle is one I’ve had for several years, and it makes an excellent gift. It’s one of those pieces of jewelry that literally goes with everything. It’s pretty alone, but it’s also pretty stacked with other bracelets like I have it here with this hot pink set by Kendra Scott (which comes packaged in a sunshine yellow Kendra Scott box, perfect for gifting).
The ankle raw hem jeans are some of my favorites. I’ve had them for a couple of years now, and the fit is perfection. They don’t sag or stretch out at all during the day.

And you know I love my Shoreline Converse. True to size for me and so much more comfy than regular Converse. Plus, I love that you just slip them on (because of the elastic back) and don’t have to tie them.
Best Accessory Gifts
Now let’s get back to gifting. When giving a gift, I’ve mentioned several times today how I like for it to be packaged beautifully. Here are two options for brands that package their items in lovely boxes. Kendra’s pieces always come in these beautiful yellow boxes that can be easily popped into a gift bag with some tissue, or can be handed over just like this with a card. Gorjana pieces also come in nice sturdy boxes, and there’s always a cute little canvas bag inside the box that says “Live, Love, Laugh.”

I’ve got one more idea for a product that is packaged beautifully for a gift, and you can find all Jo Malone products HERE. I love so many of her scents, but Nectarine Blossom and Honey is my new favorite. It’s so fresh and light, and not flowery. I’ve talked about this before, but strong scents give me a headache. This one doesn’t! With each scent, you can choose the cologne, a candle, hand lotion, bath oil, or body cream. These items are luxurious. And I absolutely love the packaging.
I’m telling you, Nordstrom has all areas of gifting covered: Click HERE for more Mother’s Day gift ideas. Click HERE for anniversary present ideas. Click HERE for baby gift ideas. Click HERE for kid’s birthday party gifts (they even carry Legos and Magformers!). And click HERE for housewarming gift ideas. A HUGE THANK YOU to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post and for making gift giving less stressful for all of us!

What a nice surprise seeing your post go up tonight! I laughed out loud when you said your children will steal your blardigan. The first one I bought is taken from me nightly by my 4 year old. She likes to wrap herself in it to go to sleep. And my 6 year old son cuddles up with me whenever I wear my newest one. And if I wear them out of the house (& sometimes I do), people want to pet me! These cardigans have now become an obsession…I mean collection…of mine. I’ll never admit to how many I own. Ha! All because Sheaffer told me to – and I thank you for it! They are just as amazing as you’ve told us over the years. xoxo

RACHEL! The children. They steal it. But how can you blame them? It’s just so dang cozy! I did have a reader tell me once that she had to tell her Kn class that they weren’t allowed to pet her unless they asked! Hahahahaha! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

The very first thing I bought when I started following you was the Kate Spade rhinestone bangle! It was just the perfect accessory for so many outfits. Sadly, I lost it over the weekend–heartbreak!! I’m hoping one of my kids will gift me a new one this Mother’s Day! Great post with so many sweet ideas–love this post.
