It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika and Andrea to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now.

BIG NEWS, y’all!
The MUST HAVE leggings now come in this fun pink color!
Y’all know I named these a MUST HAVE back in November in the charcoal grey (almost like black). Well. I now own 2 pairs of the black because I was wearing them so much I needed a spare when the other was in the laundry.
I didn’t even have to think twice about adding these pink ones to my cart when they popped on the site yesterday. I LOVE THEM. I also grabbed this relaxed long sleeve tee in white to wear with them.

WHAT YOU’LL SEE NEXT WEEK!
In addition to the above leggings, I want you to see what else I’ll be sharing next week!
* How cute is this Not My First Rodeo graphic tee?!?
* I love the colors in this pink and red tie dye tee.
* Great hoops are always a favorite for me. These beaded hoop earrings in various shades of blush, coral, and pink are gorgeous.
* I was never able to grab them last year because they kept selling out, but I finally snagged my favorite denim shorts in the bleached wash! I’m SO excited. They are already selling out again, so snag them fast.
* OH MY WORD! I just saw that the denim shorts come in a faded and distressed black now too. Now those are on there way to me as well. Now if the white would just get restocked I’d be all set!
* I grabbed these neutral studded sandals yesterday at Target and they are DARLING. The neutral are now sold out, but the black is still available. They look so much more expensive than they are!
* Do y’all remember when Vigoss jrsnd were the only jeans I wore? I found this pair (cropped and distressed) and decided to give them a try. They arrived yesterday and I really like them! At 5’4″ they aren’t as short on me as they are on the model, which I’m happy about.

This boy loves his dogs so much. He’s constantly COVERED in hair because he is always snuggling them, but he just can’t stay away. It’s the sweetest.

Last weekend we went away with some friends for just a quick getaway to a cabin in Broken Bow. We had the best time, but we were terrible at taking pictures. Chris did grab this one of Carter while Lisa and I were doing some shopping.
I laughed out loud when I saw this dish towel at Girls Gone Wine, an adorable local gift shop and wine tasting spot. HOT TIP: Get the pomegranate frozen wine to go (in a freezer at the front of the store in to go cups), let it defrost till it’s slushy, and then add vodka to it. You’re welcome.
The kids loved popping in the hot tub with Chris (that’s Chris’s arm on the right). Chris said it wasn’t the most relaxing time he’s ever had in a hot tub. Haha!

I know you’ve probably seen the sponsored Walmart+ grocery posts I’ve done over the past couple of months. Well, this isn’t sponsored, but I genuinely love the service and want to continue to talk about it and encourage you to give it a try. Click HERE to see my original post that breaks it all down for you.
BECAUSE SERIOUSLY, Y ‘ALL.
I. LOVE. THIS. SERVICE.
See those groceries on the porch? I ordered them at 8:30 a.m., and they were delivered to me at 1:00 the same day! AMAZING.

CARRIBEAN CHICKEN SALAD
After my groceries arrived, I was able to make one of my favorite salads.
Ingredients: Mixed greens, fresh raspberries, Trader Joe’s Simply Roast Chicken (I shred it and sprinkle it with the new Trader Joe’s Citrusy Garlic seasoning.), mandarin oranges, pineapple tidbits, wonton strips, and light honey mustard dressing. I usually also add avocado, but my avocado was bad. BOO.
This is a salad I will eat over and over again, and I’ll be happy every time I eat it.

SPRING OUTFIT INSPIRATION
Did you see Monday’s post? It was full of great Spring tops, shoes, and a bag. Everybody was excited to see inspiration for Spring dressing, so I have more great seasonally appropriate inspiration for you today!
I want to start out with a shirt I’ve shown you before. I’m showing it again because it’s quickly become a personal favorite. Over the past two weeks I’ve worn it like below with jeans, with joggers and my Amazon slip on sneakers (in light grey) , and even with denim shorts yesterday (it was super warm).
This dip dye sweatshirt has my name written all over it. It’s called a sweatshirt, and it is a sweatshirt, but it’s definitely on the thin side. Don’t worry, it’s not too thin, I just don’t want you to think you’re getting a really thick and warm sweatshirt. It’s actually the perfect weight for spring.
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I would need a small if just wearing it with jeans or joggers. I’m going to keep the medium because I’ll definitely wear it with leggings too.

And I wanted to give you a close up look at these jeans since they are the jeans I’m wearing with all of my outfits today.
These NEW frayed hem ankle skinny jeans are a great light to medium wash for spring and summer, I like the minimal distressing (for interest), and the frayed hem ankle length is my favorite. Plus, they have the Ab Solution technology we’ve all grown to know and love.
When wearing oversized, boxy, or flow tops I want a skinny jean on the bottom to help balance out the proportions and these are PERFECT. When wearing more fitted tops, then I’ll probably go with my girlfriend jeans.

This tee has terrible reviews, BUT Y’ALL, it is SO SOFT so you might want to give it a chance. It’s realllllllly oversized (I’m wearing the small and need the x-small), but I think if you size way down you just might like it!

This yellow floral blouse is so feminine and pretty! The pattern is adorable, I love the yellow white and pink combo, and the peplum hem and gathered sleeves make the top.
It’s fine with my jeans, but it’s going to be awesome with white jeans. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

So I love the idea of this top, but I’m sad to say I don’t really love the top. The gingham is great, but the sleeves are much different than I expected. They are ruched (which is fun), but they are much wider than I like. I feel like the top just ends up looking sloppy because of the sleeves. Too bad, because I think I would love it with a closer fitting sleeve. If you’re still interested in giving it a try for yourself, I’m wearing a small and would say it’s a bit oversized.

This flutter sleeve top is adorable. I love it here with regular denim, but I think it will really pop with white jeans and cognac sandals. I’m really hoping to find a pair of white jeans I love very soon (I’ve tried 3 so far this year and haven’t loved any of them). The flutter sleeves are pretty aggressive and actually appear bigger in real life than they look in the picture, but I like them. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, which is typical for me in tops like this that don’t have much give to them.

I love this eyelet top. I think this “twig green” is so pretty, but I’ve decided I really want the white. In order for it to fit more like it does on the model, I need to grab a medium (I feel like this small is too fitted), so I’m going to get the white in a medium. It’s going to be so cute with distressed cut offs and nude sandals. I’m going to be all sorts of ready for summer!

This mustard popover is a relaxed fit and can be dressed up or down. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

It also looks cute layered under this super soft cardigan.
This Amazon cardigan is really soft and has over 3,000 EXCELLENT ratings. It comes in several colors and patterns, and most are right at $20! It’s an incredible value. It’s lightweight, so it’s perfect to transition to Spring, and it drapes nicely with an open front. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This cheetah puff sleeve tee comes in 4 colors, and I love that the subtle puff sleeves elevate it from just a regular ol’ t-shirt. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

This sweatshirt is totally basic, but I totally love it. It comes in 8 colors, is crazy soft, and is right at $20. It’s such a simple look, but I love it with my skinny jeans and camo sneaks. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium and it’s plenty long enough for leggings.

In fact, here I am wearing it with leggings.
Just yesterday I decided to do a handful of errands right after I dropped Carter off at school, so I just reached for things to put on that were clean in the laundry room. I think the outfit would have been pretty cute if I would have had access to my Dolce Vita sneakers or my Walmart camo sneakers, but they were behind closed doors with sleeping pups, and you know what they say about not waking sleeping pups. #thesamethingtheysayaboutbabies
I’m wearing a 6 in the Amazon military jacket (love the bit of stretch it has, the stand up collar, and the cinched in waist) and a small in the must have leggings.

Bahahahaha!! Chris! I bet the MOOD in that hot tub instantly changed!
Monica Seeley says
Scheaffer, these are all cute but my favorite outfit from this post is actually the one you threw together at the end! Can you tell me what colors you’re wearing in the sweatshirt and jacket? I think it’s beige and dusty olive but they look a little different in your photo.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Monica! It’s the beige sweatshirt and it’s actually the “surplus” jacket! I LOVE BOTH! xoxo
Alison Althouse says
I adore your outfit combinations… so fun! Thanks for the salad idea – might have to whip something like that together this weekend!
You mentioned that your avocado went bad…. I have a suggestion for you: once your avocados are ripe, mash them together (but not into guacamole, just avocado) and grab it up into big cookie scoops and pop them in the freezer! You can pull out as many scoops as you need and they never go bad… they also work really well as a smoothie addition. YUM!
Sheaffer says
That’s a great tip, Alison! Thank you!!!! xoxo

Adding pink leggings to cart. Check, check!
Cathy says
Hi there! I have a non-related question. I’m trying to find a pair of black jeans that I think you posted about MAYBE last fall. I want to say they were almost a dark grey color. Can you help me out?
I have so much fun reading your posts!
Thank you!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Cathy! YES! Sadly, they’ve been sold out for awhile now. They were Wit and Wisdom (no surprise there), and they were a faded black with distressing. I LOVE THEM, but they sold out and never restocked. 🙁 So sorry! xoxo
Keri says
So many cute things today! I’m so glad you grabbed those light wash denim shorts. I grabbed them last year and wore them non stop all summer. Please keep us posted if those longer denim shorts you showed last May are restocked. I’ve been regretting not ordering them ever since. Have a great weekend!
Sheaffer says
They got here today and I love them, Keri! So happy to have them!!! xoxo
Alison Havens says
LOVE all of this! Question/Advice for finding tops to go with the linen drawstring wide leg pants?? Fitted on top like you mentioned when you do loose on the bottom, but I can’t find anything for a 40 something mom. Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Alison! I would say a boat neck tee or v neck tee you can do a half tuck with….and maybe layer it with a denim jacket.
Jess says
Hi Sheaffer, do the frayed ankle jeans come in petite? Can’t find them on the website. I am 5 ft and not sure if petite is needed for this style.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Jess! They don’t. I’m so sorry! They will be too long on you, but I have had readers tell me they just cut them off themselves. Not sure if you would be willing to try this or not, but it’s an option! 🙂
