Y’all know these two are always a favorite for me.
And snuggling is their favorite.
I took this picture yesterday after we got back from walking the dogs. I’m wearing a sweatshirt, a fleece hoodie, a beanie, a fleece neck warmer, a puffer jacket, leggings, sweatpants, UGGs, and mittens. And don’t you worry, I was toasty warm on the walk. Chris and I kept looking at each other and laughing. But for real, this Amazon puffer is one of the best coats I’ve ever had.
COLLAGE TO REAL LIFE
On Wednesday I did a Looking Forward To Spring collage post and last week I did a Festive February Finds collage post. When I’m preparing for those types of posts, I search online for hours and hours looking for things that excite me and that I think would appeal to most of us. And more often than not, I of course end up ordering several of the featured items for myself!
Such was the case for these last two collages, and I actually ordered many things for myself. Let’s call it market research.
Some of the items arrived yesterday, and I was so excited after trying them on that I decided to change today’s post because I didn’t want to wait until Monday to share! Some other items are supposed to arrive over the weekend, so I’ll hopefully review those on Monday’s post!
1) tassel hoop earrings / 2) necklace / 3) Dirt Road Darlin’ hat / 4) sunglasses / 5) slouchy crossbody / 6) crewneck pullover / 7) Veja sneakers in pink / 8) white Converse / 9) crewneck sweatshirt / 10) flip flops / 11) body butter trio / 12) pajama set / 13) Trish McEvoy perfume /14) crewneck pocket sweater / 15) basic v neck tee /16) girlfriend jeans / 17) studded espadrille wedge / 18) popover
This first outfit has the bag (#5), the girlfriend jeans (#7), and the studded wedges (#17) that were all featured in the collage. AND I LOVE ALL 3 ITEMS. YAY!
First let’s talk about the slouchy crossbody with the ADORABLE woven strap. I love that it’s a different shape than any of my other bags, and I of course fell in love with the strap. The bag is bigger than I thought it would be, but not so big that it’s overwhelming. It has one interior zippered pocket, a couple of open pockets, and it even comes with a thin black strap in case the woven strap isn’t your jam. But if you ask me, the woven strap makes the bag. This bag is an excellent deal at $78!
I feel badly even showing the jeans because they sold out last night after I put them on Facebook. BUT I LOVE THEM, Y’ALL. I reached out to my Wit and Wisdom contact to see if there would be a restock, but I haven’t heard back yet. FINGERS CROSSED, because y’all need them.
The oversized pullover sweater is a new Amazon find! I’m wearing the small/medium and love the slouchy fit. It’s soooooo soft and comes in 3 additional colors including camel and rose. This is a great find, y’all. It’s the perfect weight for Spring. It looks great worn out or in a half tuck.
It’s time to talk about the shoes.
If it were up to me, I would put them in all of your carts right now. I feel like they are going to be THE hot shoes this Spring and Summer, but I’m afraid they’ll be sold out long before then.
You should just get ’em while the gettin’ is good.
You’ll probably remember that last year I got the flat studded sandals and ADORED them (they are on sale now!), so I was thrilled when I saw that they came out with a wedge version this year. I got the tan and ordered my regular size, but the clear sure are cute too.
These are pretty tall at 4″, but they don’t feel nearly that high. They are actually pretty dang comfortable and I was able to walk around my house with ease. And come on, they are HOT.
Here’s the exact same outfit, but with the pink bag instead of the black bag. I really like both, but I think I’m going to keep the black one. I wish I would have taken an up close picture of both straps, but it’s too dark to do so now. I will take one tomorrow after the sun comes up and I’ll add it to the post!
And here’s the same outfit, but I changed out the wedges out for $25 camo sneakers! These sneakers weren’t on the collage, but these are an awesome option if you want to add a fashion sneaker to your wardrobe (but don’t want to pay the $150 for the Veja sneakers featured on the collage)!
They are super comfy, have a cushiony foot bed, and they are just so dang cute. True to size for me. Sometime over the weekend I’ll post stories showing them close up. In the picture below, I’ve just tucked the laces inside the shoes, but I’m thinking I’m actually going to cut the laces off.
(FYI: If you were able to grab the jeans before they sold out, yay you! In the outfit with the wedges, I have the jeans cuffed up once. In the outfit below with the sneakers, I have them cuffed up twice.)
Although quite similar, they do have some differences. As you can see, the Walmart pair has a pink star and the Nordstrom pair doesn’t. They both have camo canvas and silver detail on the heel, although the Nordstrom version is silver glitter. The Nordstrom pair has a thicker sole, and they also have a bit of cognac on them. The Walmart pair has silver laces and the Nordstrom pair has cream laces. I plan on cutting off the silver laces to look like the laces on the DV pair. They both have taupe microsuede toes.
The Dolce Vita camo sneakers are $99.95 at Nordstrom right now, but they are $124.99 at DSW, so I think that they are actually on sale at Nordstrom (even though they aren’t showing as sale).
Oh, one more thing. When on my feet, I do think that the DV sneaker is a bit more flattering because the toe bed is more narrow.
I’m telling you this right now, you can’t go wrong with either shoe.
This crewneck pullover was #6 in the Spring collage, and it’s everything I hoped it would be. And it’s 30% OFF right now with the code SPRING! First of all, it’s the most beautiful and perfect shade of Kelly green. I buy everything I can get my hands on in this color. In addition to the gorgeous color, it’s soft and exactly the relaxed fit I was looking for. It is on the shorter side, so if you have a super long torso, it might not work for you. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It comes in 10 color choices, so there’s something for everybody.
Again, I feel like I’m just taunting all of y’all that weren’t able to get the jeans before they sold out, but let’s keep our fingers crossed for a restock!
Here’s the other top I ordered from J. Crew. This relaxed fit crew neck sweater is also 30% OFF with the code SPRING. It’s a great transition sweater. It’s crazy soft, the color combo is perfect, and I love the small stripes. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but see the next picture to know why I’m going to exchange for a smaller size.
I’m going to exchange for a small, because look how wide the sweater is. When I pulled it out of the box, I first noticed how soft it felt and how much I loved the stripes, but then I quickly noticed how wide it was. If you lay it out on a table, it’s at least twice the width of a normal sweater. HOWEVER, when I put it on it managed to look more than okay! I like this sweater enough that I want to try it in a smaller size, so I’m exchanging it for a small. The flat lay on the website makes it look like it’s a normal width, but I think it’s actually just folded to look that way.
And since the 30% OFF sale is going down right now, I went ahead and grabbed these white jeans. I’m so hopeful that I’m going to LOVE them. I sized up to a 28 (I often size up in white jeans) and ordered the petite.
Also from the Spring collage, the full size Trish McEvoy perfume, the white and blue crewneck pocket sweater, the tassel hoop earrings, and the basic v neck tee in the “Siberian red” all arrived late yesterday. I truly wish there was a way for you to smell the perfume through your screens and I could give all of you a little sample. I know scents are so personal, but my goodness I’m in love with this one. I’m excited to review all 3 of the other new arrivals on Monday.
Last week I did this Festive February Finds collage, and I had to do some research for this one as well. I already had the antique heart pendant (#1), throw (#5), styling cream (#6), mules (#7), magic cream (#12), as well as numbers #15-20. Still, I ordered the color block fleece and the camo sandals so I could see them for myself!
1) antique heart pendant / 2) heart garland / 3) watermelon dew drops / 4) gold heart band ring / 5) throw / 6) protect and perfect styling cream / 7) mules / 8) gold heart hoops / 11) color block fleece / 12) magic cream / 13) camo sandals / 14) leopard bag / 15) cozy wrap jacket / 16) undies / 17) dryer brush / 18) dainty pave heart necklace / 19) brush and bronzer palette / 20) pink sweater
When I spotted this fleece zip up online (#11 from the collage), I immediately added it to cart.
I wasn’t sure about it when I pulled it out of the box (the material on the pocket gave me pause), but once I put it on I loved it. The stand up collar is so cute, and I really like the contrasting peachy color on the pocket, the zipper, and the cuffs. And when I say it’s cozy, I mean it. It’s so soft and cozy, and the jacket is extra comfy because it has a bit of stretch in it. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. I’m wearing it here with the must have leggings and $25 camo sneakers, and it will be so cute with jeans too.
And check out the camo sandals (#13)! They are ONLY $14.98 and they are AWESOME.
I actually like them better than real Birkenstocks because they are more narrow, so they are more flattering on my feet. I will wear these all summer long. And they come in tons of solid colors too! I’m typically a 6 1/2, and the 7s are perfect for me.
Do you remember my favorite sandals from last year? They are NOW ON SALE!
I was immediately drawn to the neutral version, but they also come in classic black, a funky clear, and an edgy snakeskin.
I don’t usually love a strap across my ankle in a flat sandal because I feel like it cuts me off and makes my legs look short, but that’s not an issue with these at all because of the neutral color! They have a cushioned sole, are true to size for me, and are quite comfortable which is an absolutely MUST for me in a shoe. It seems from reading the reviews that if you have a wider foot, you might consider ordering up a 1/2 size.
They are different than any sandals I’ve ever owned, AND I LOVE THEM.
They are FABULOUS and UNDER $60 right now! Click HERE.
Colleen is running a special this weekend where you get a FREE smooth and shine hair serum (one of my favorite products) when you spend $95! I’ve added a couple of new products to my routine that I want to share with y’all today because they could get you to the $95.
I’ve been using the retinol supreme night oil for about 3 weeks now, I’m not sure why I’ve never used it consistently before, but I knew I needed to start incorporating retinol into my routine on a regular basis. I use it at night and lightly rub it in all over my face and neck. It’s hydrating, but it’s not greasy, and my skin drinks it up. I love that I’m getting both retinol and vitamin c, and my skin looks great when I get up in the morning. It’s improving my skin’s texture, it’s overall appearance, and it’s upping the glow factor. YES, YES, YES.
The protect and perfect styling cream is their newest product and it’s greatness. When drying my hair, I section it off and put the cream on it right before I run each section through the dryer brush. My hair looks and feels awesome after using it. The cream hydrates it without weighing it down, fly aways are tamed, and my bounciness is maintained. It’s an awesome product.
The smooth and shine hair serum is the product that I apply very sparingly after I dry and style my hair. I feel like it just adds extra shine. A little goes a long way, and you can get it FREE right now with your $95 purchase.
The Our Place pan is $30 OFF with the code MAGIC30! It sold out before Christmas, but now it’s back. It was one of Oprah’s Favorite Things, and I totally understand why.
The pan is non-stick and non-toxic, and it is basically 7 pieces of cookware in one! It’s a skillet, non-stick pan, saucepan, fry pan, spatula rest, colander, and steamer. And you can do anything in it! You can braise, sear, steam, strain, saute, fry, boil, and serve directly out of it!
Plus, it comes with a coordinating lid, wooden spatula, steamer basket, and special sponge!
Some STMT readers left some of their reviews on the pan on my facebook page, and you can see them below:
I bought mine back in November and it’s worth every penny. I love it and use it all the time. It’s as good as all the influencers say it is (and I’m not an influencer, lol). – Jennifer
My husband could make a commercial for this pan! He doesn’t cook much but he keeps saying how much he loves it. So easy to clean! – Cindy
I got one for Christmas and LOVE it! I use it multiple times a day, every day. Getcha one! – Kimberly
