All you have to have in your closet is a simple black tee or sweater, a colorful scarf,
jeans, and cognac boots.
I’m guessing a lot of you already have many of these items, and I think it would be a great outfit to throw on for Christmas day!
You’d be cute and comfortable, and it would look great in pictures!

I added a leopard belt instead of a black belt, because DUH.
#leopardforpresident
And fyi….if I wear a blanket scarf, I almost always wear my hair in a ponytail.
Otherwise it just kind of lays across the scarf and looks awkward.

Are you wearing jeans or leggings on Christmas Day?
Or maybe you are a family that stays in your pajamas all day. If you are, I TOTALLY dig that!
OR…
Maybe you are a family that dresses up for Christmas dinner?
If that’s the case, then I’m afraid I’m no help to you!
I’ve got several more things before you go!
First up, I found some more sale items!
I posted these on facebook last night because I wouldn’t sure when the sale prices were going to disappear, so I hope the sale prices are still good today!
And here’s the deal, I’m in no way suggesting you gift somebody a bra for Christmas.
HOWEVER.
If you DID gift somebody the bra below, she would love you for life.
I am demanding politely suggesting that you splurge and get this bra for yourself.
I’ve owned lots of bras in my day, some I’ve liked, some I’ve hated…but I’ve never loved a bra until this bra.
Trust me. Your girls will thank me.
Sorry, dad.

Lots of you ladies commented on facebok last night about your Natori bras, but this one was my favorite:
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Natori bra! It was recommended to me during a fitting and I walked out of there with 3 – two in the nude color and one in black. Coming from someone who was wearing nothing but no-wire maternity/nursing bras for 5 years, this bra is SOOOO comfortable and looks great! I didn’t think my ‘girls’ could look this good after pumping/nursing two kids. Go Natori!
I actually posted this next picture on facebook yesterday also, and I got lots of solid recommendations for these cords.
Click HERE if you want to browse some facebook reviews left by readers, almost all of them mention the fact that they are “very flattering”. Flattering? Yes, please!

I only found you on IG about a month ago… #wherehaveyoubeenallmylife since that time I have purchased Lucky Brand boots via Nordstrom, waterfall cardigan, Hue leggings, red plaid rain boots (hunters just not in budget for now), old navy skinny jeans which I never thought I could wear! 2 blanket scarves including the one on your tutorial, lucky brand leopard flats which I have wanted forever, and just last night the Hunter green pea coat for under $30! Dear Lord…I won't be purchasing anything else until the new year! Surely I can hold out until then! Girl math rocks!

You look so cute in your christmas day outfit. I'm going to copy you and wear it today. 🙂

I feel like such a good student. I bought the Kut cords last year after you recommended them, and now I have two pair (because I bought another pair when I saw that they were on sale). They ARE very flattering and they really keep their shape. I also bought a Natori bra after I saw you talk about them and you were right about it being worth the money (although I never thought I would spend that much on a bra). I like it so much (and hate it when it's in the wash and I have to wear another bra), so I just bought 2 more. I just spent $120 on bras. Who am I? Ha!

Love these! Luckily, we are spending Christmas morning at home and then going to my sis in law's house, and she declared that we're wearing pajamas all day! Of course I ordered a cute plaid silk pair from VS so the pics would be nice 🙂

HOLEEE COW! I just got my Wit and Wisdom jeans over the weekend and I MUST say they are almost life changing..the most comfy, flattering jeans ever! Hope Carter is feeling better today and you guys don't catch this! When our 3 were really little, it seemed like someone was always sick right at the holidays.
LOVE the outfit and just may wear that Christmas Day -I have all of the pieces too although my husband doesn't quite get the blanket scarf yet;). I ordered some Wit and Wisdom jeans and they are on their way-hope I love them like the rest of you!

#leopardforpresident Also, that scarf is my favorite scarf ever! I love it with the black top! Instantly festive! Great work, friend!!

I am definitely a leggings/tunic/boots girl on Christmas! Lots of sitting on the floor, moving around, playing with kids and FOOD! I want to be super comfortable and still cute so I will be wearing my Hue leggings, Caslon tunic, and cognac boots…or I may wear my cardigan uggs…..OH or I may wear my Blardigan! Dang it, I guess I haven't decided quite yet. But definitely the leggings. All purchased from YOUR recommendations! 🙂 Merry Christmas!

Pinterest does it again! We are going out for a casual last minute get together with friends and I am totally wearing the blanket scarf outfit!! I say this often, but seriously, I couldn't get dressed without you!
Also, my back ordered pea coat from Nordstrom's magically appeared yesterday, just in time for Christmas!! I got the hunter green and took the size up advice. It's fits perfectly (I am 5'9" and a size 6 and ordered a large) I can't believe the quality for that price!!! And it's midweight material will still work great here in Chicago as long as it's not sub zero.
Thanks for the great looks you gave us in 2014 and I can't wait to see what's in store for 2015!
