This is it.
Today is The Day.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends and took time to thank God for all of your blessings!
I had the best time with my husband’s family and loved watching our little guy play with his cousins.


But now?  Well now It’s Black Friday.
And it’s time to SHOP OUR FACES OFF.  
We need to stock up on Christmas gifts, but we also need to get something for ourselves….because we deserve it.

So, yesterday morning I was watching the Thanksgiving parade with the family, and I received an e-mail from Nordstrom saying that Black Friday was starting a day early.
SAY WHAT?
I was NOT prepared.

I absolutely loved these next 3 cardigans.
If you guys read the blog last week when I wore the skinny cargo pants with the neutral cardigan and leopard scarf (find the post HERE if you want to see my too short cardi in action), then you’ll remember that I realized that my cardigan was WAY TOO SHORT.  So, that’s why you are about to see lots of cardigans.

      Hi Jen! I actually get my towels and sheets from Tuesday Morning! Where do you live? Do you have Tuesday Mornings? I got towels from Pottery Barn a couple of years ago (and paid a fortune), but I didn't love them. The brand of sheets I get from Tuesday Morning are Peacock Alley. I don't know the brand of towels. Hope this helps a little!!!!

      Hi Laury! I totally agree with you that they are reading brown on the computer screen. I am almost positive that I've seen these in person, and if they are the boots I'm thinking of, they definitely have a grey tint to them…but I'm still not sure if I would look at them and say they were "grey". Sorry I'm not more help!

    I just crossed several items off my list! I got those colorful infinity scarves for my mom, mother-in-law, my aunt, and my 3 sisters! A northface jacket for the hubby (wasn't on sale, oh well), a northface for my daughter (it was on sale), and magofmers for my son (not on sale). And I got a Natori bra for myself. I was hoping the blardigans were going to be on sale, but no luck. Any chance they will go on sale in the next couple of weeks?

    I SO enjoy reading your blog! I bought my first pair of Frye boots a couple of weeks ago from Dillards (Nordstrom didn't carry this style in extended calf). They are the Melissa Button Zip Extended Calf in the color fawn. I am in between a regular boot and wide-calf, and the Frye boots are not crazy wide! I didn't get them on sale, but I know I will wear them for many years. On another note, I noticed your beautiful dark wood floors in your photos. On this black Friday weekend, we will be shopping for new flooring!

(OK I heard you talk about their free shipping/returns for months, but didn't know about the Paypal.) I also bought the LOFT waterfall cardi on Wednesday when the store was 40% off. Also bought the LOFT red button down blouse (not featured on your blog) for Christmas parties. They looked good together. FYI: My saleslady said LOFT would be 50% off on Black Friday, but I'd rather sacrifice 10% than to fight those crowds! Thanks for the tips!

I got the Smashbox trial kit for each of my girls, some other kits that I can break up as stocking stuffers, Kut from the Kloth denim jacket for 50% off, Napolean Perdis kit with the full size primer I love and came with a free gift set, all of which I can again break up for stockings…gosh, lots of other great deals for my girls.

    I started my day returning the Vigoss Grey jeans that came this week and were a bit too baggy on me. They of course didn't have any in the store, but I HAPPILY purchased an almost identical pair for $17 from Old Navy (Rockstar Super Skinny)!!!!!! Also scored some yoga pants from Old Navy. The long line at Gap and the messy and unorganized merchandise was overwhelming, so I turned right around with nothing to show. Got a couple other things, but no sales on those, but Christmas shopping is well under way!!!!!

    hmmm….. I got a couple of outfits for the kids at Gymboree (50% off!), several Bobbi Brown make up items at Sephora (no sale on those– bummer!), and a cashmere sweater at Macy's (for $40!). Sadly, I didn't buy anything for myself, but I just got the blardigan last week and I've been wearing it pretty much constantly since then!
