Today we’re going to get a little fancy!
You know me, and I’m not fancy all that often, but I do love the idea of fancying
 up a regular ol’ outfit with some fun jewelry.

Earlier this year (in February actually), I was searching Pinterest for inspiration for an upcoming post, and I kept on seeing fancy necklaces that were paired with plain tees.
EVERY SINGLE TIME I saw the combination, I loved it!
The looks were a little bit unexpected at first, but several pictures in, I totally “got” it and LOVED it.  All the outfits just looked so polished (even though they were super comfy)., and all the girls looked
 put together without being too stuffy.
Yep.
I was SOLD on this look.
I could hardly wait to start mixing plain with fancy!

Don’t all the girls above look awesome?  Especially #2 right?  That girl looks straight up DARLING. 😉

So anyway, I decided to take the Plain and Fancy look and do it again for myself!

One of the things that is so GENIUS about this look is that you probably already have several different shirts that would work that are already in your closet.
What could work?
a plain white scoop neck tee
a grey v-neck
a navy baseball shirt
a striped tee
a sweatshirt
And any variation of the above.
The list could literally go on for days.
So, just in case you girls also want to try this look out (merging PLAIN and FANCY) but don’t think you have anything in your closet to make it work,

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think a small might have been better. The shirt is unisex, so the arms aren’t fitted at all, and the medium gave me a lot of room.

    I remember your original post highlighting statement necklaces with t-shirts and I ended up pairing the two together all summer long – particularly on days I wore my maxi skirt and jean jacket – really cute! There is so much to choose from on Bauble Bar, I like the pictures they show of layering a statement necklace with a longer pendant, I think I would want to try that if I won your fabulous giveaway.

    I love fancy jewels w/ plain t-shirts, that's totally my style too! I would prob save the $ for a great find. Thanks to Nordstrom Rack I saved over $900 Sat! yes, ma'am that's right! A $428 kate spade dress for $80! $295 tory burch wedges for $33!!! And, $328 kate spade heels for $25!!!!! I guess sometimes I luck out bc I have big feet(size 10!)!!!! My husband doesn't understand like we girls do, if you find a designer bargain like these, you have to buy! I would love the jewelry too, it would be a fun addition to my wardrobe!

    I've been mixing plain with fancy since I was in college in the 80's and I inherited some of my Grandma's fancy earrings and brooches. All the colorful statement earrings are speaking to me.
