Well, I’ve always known that I was blessed with really amazing blog readers, and I had no doubt that you would all be excited for the collection and my top. BUT MY GOODNESS, y’all really showed up in a BIG way. Your love and support has been incredibly overwhelming (in the best possible way). I gushed a bit over on instagram, but I wanted to make sure I said it here too. Y’ALL ARE AWESOME. And you really know how to make a girl feel special. (Seriously, if you want to see why I’m so touched, go read some of the comments on this post.)
Your words made me grin from ear to ear…and they made me cry. And I’m not just saying that. I truly felt like I had thousands of cheerleaders yelling my name on the sidelines. It was LOVELY.
So, THANK YOU.
From the bottom of my heart.
Now, on to today’s post!
Monday’s post was mainly dedicated to The Sheaffer top, and y’all seemed to be thrilled with it. I can hardly wait for you to start getting it in. And when you do, I would love it if you would tag me on instagram so I can see you in it! I hope to start sharing some of y’alls pics in the top on ig stories for everybody to see!
To review, The Sheaffer comes in a crisp white, a festive cranberry, and a classic black. I love all 3 colors. I sized up to a medium in the top because I needed extra room in the chest, but if you don’t need extra room up top, I would stay with your regular size. (The website says to size down if between sizes, but I don’t recommend that.) Click HERE to see everything I had to say about my top in the launch day post.
The cranberry is definitely made for festive holiday celebrations, but I feel like the black and the white are year round tops! They’re obviously great on their own, but they would also look awesome layered under leather and denim jackets.

And I know that there are soooo many different ways to wear these tops! I really love how Mallory styled the black top with ALL BLACK. Isn’t this outfit the perfect combination of chic and edgy?!? Black top, black coated skinny jeans, and over the knee black boots. STUNNING. I mean, tell me you wouldn’t get noticed if you walked into a room in this get up.
I’m planning on doing a try on session on Friday, and I will definitely be recreating this outfit. Thanks for the inspiration, Mal!
So, in the collaboration, there are 8 other bloggers with 8 other incredible pieces. There are several bonus pieces too. I’m going to show you 2 other pieces from the collection today: The Erin and The Sequin Flutter Sleeve Tee.
But first, let me re-introduce you to the other ladies in the Glam Squad. We all had the best time together when shooting the collection in L.A. last month! Here we are, you know, just casually strolling arm and arm across the street in the heart of L.A.
As one does.
Remember how I said I wanted some type of a sleeve on my piece? Well, all of my personal favorite pieces from the collection have sleeves! I mean, there are pieces without sleeves that I adore, but I just happen to prefer sleeves on myself.
Because of this, The Erin top was a definite favorite! The entire top is lace, and the entire bodice is lined! This means you can wear a regular bra, which I know many of you love. The sleeves are a bell sleeve shape, but they are 3/4 sleeves and not a dramatic bell, so they stay out of the way. Also, the sleeves are not lined, and I love how you can see skin peeking through. Once again, I sized up to a medium in this top because I needed some extra give in the chest.
It also comes in a bright white (another great year round top) and a great green.
You could easily dress this top up with skinny black ankle slacks or coated skinny jeans. But I love it casually with jeans and these leopard heels. This top can definitely be party ready, but a party isn’t needed to bust this baby out! Just wear it! Wear it and feel DARLING.
I love it. It’s going to look great under my new leather jacket (that’s 40% OFF right now)! If you want to see the jacket in action, click over to my New York post. I style it with jeans, with a dress, and with coated skinny jeans! Another great jacket option would be this one from TopShop that’s NOW ON SALE for UNDER $55!
The sequin flutter sleeve tee is another favorite. It fits like your favorite tee, BUT IT’S SEQUINS! I fancied it up here with the coated skinny jeans…but it also looks great with regular ol’ denim. I LOVE THIS TOP and I’m so excited to have it in my closet! It’s elevated with the sequins and the flutter sleeve. It’s darling and so versatile. It could be worn all year long for a night out on the town, but it’s definitely fancy enough for holiday wear as well. I sized up to a medium in this one too. (Although I’m a small in regular Gibson pieces, I’ve been a pretty consistent medium in all the top in the holiday line. Smalls fit me best in the satin and sequin joggers.)
These black coated skinny jeans are stretchy, comfy, and will look great with lots of different tops in the collection. And they are an awesome deal! I’m wearing my regular 27s,
The heeled sandals come in 9 colorways, and they are a great little shoe for all sorts of events. These are the “black fabric”, and I love the bit of texture they have.
In addition to the sequin flutter sleeve, the collection also includes some other pieces that weren’t directly collaborated on with bloggers, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still awesome! Because they are. Click HERE for the entire collection.
BONUS: The Dot Peplum Blouse
I’ll try this one on for you on Friday. It’s more on the everyday side, but it can definitely be worn day or night.
BONUS: The Lace Skirt
BONUS: The Velvet Tee
This is the one piece of the collection that I don’t have yet, so I must fix that asap. I want the black and the red. The velvets in this collection are gorgeous.
BONUS: Faux Wrap Top
BONUS: Metallic Faux Wrap Top
I’ll be showing this in the black (which actually looks more like a gunmetal to me!) on Friday. I tried this for the first time yesterday, and I think it’s absolutely darling. I’m going to style it with the satin joggers (they look terrible on the website, but are actually SUPER cute) and my mesh dot heels. This top would also look great with jeans and either heels or over the knee boots.
That’s it for today y’all! I’m hoping you are still enjoying all of the holiday inspiration! And I hope I’m convincing you that even though all of these pieces are holiday party ready, many of them can actually be worn out and around town all year long! See you back here on Friday. xoxo
