Y’ALL!  IT’S LIVE!  It’s FINALLY LIVE!

My friend Cassie’s line, the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum CELEBRATE SUMMER Collection is LIVE!  It’s her 6th collection with the brand, and it is FABULOUS.  Seriously, it’s the best one yet.

She’s worked so hard on this new collection for so many months, making sure that everything would be perfect. I’m SO PROUD of her and SO EXCITED about all of the cute new pieces in my closet!

Here’s the main thing you need to know…

This time around the pieces are being carried exclusively at Gibson!!! Launching a clothing line during a pandemic is more than challenging, especially when retailers are limiting orders from brands, so the decision was made to move the collection to the Gibson site.  This is in the best interest of y’all (the shoppers!), because this allows them to pass on some savings to you!

There are 10 pieces (some of the pieces have up to 5 color/pattern choices) and everything is DARLING.  And not just kind of darling.  SERIOUSLY DARLING.  We’re talking gorgeous and happy colors, fun prints, and oh so pretty feminine details.  Also of importance, the colors are cohesive throughout the collection.  The corals match, the blues match, etc.  This makes for easy mixing and matching, which is a lot of fun and incredibly cost effective too!  It also makes packing a breeze if you’re taking the pieces on a trip because you can get so many outfits out of a small number of pieces.

STRAPPY MAXI DRESS

Let’s start off with this red maxi dress.

BECAUSE I’M OBSESSED.

And not just kind of obsessed.

FULL. BLOWN. OBSESSED.

It’s GORGEOUS.

The red is so vibrant and it fits like a dream.  It’s flowy, it’s fully lined, it drapes beautifully, and it’s soooooo soft!

The straps are adjustable (which is amazing) and it has some give to it as well (with a bit of elastic on the back), which I appreciate.  At 5’4″, I’m in a regular small and wearing 3″ wedges.  If wearing with flat shoes, a petite small would be better.  It’s even possible that an xs or an xs petite would work on me, so I would definitely suggest sizing down.

I’ve dressed it up here with gold jewelry and wedges, but it would also be cute dressed way down with Converse and a ball cap, or even as a beach cover up!

The earrings and both necklaces (covered by my hair! sorry!) have been on repeat all Summer long.  The combo seems to be pretty dang near perfect for just about every outfit combo that I’ve worn.

The sunglasses have been on repeat too, and they are UNDER $15!

The bag is a total steal too, but I don’t want to rave about it too much because it looks like the stock is super low and I know many of you are going to be sad to miss out on it.

And I of course wear my favorite strapless bra with it.  This strapless is so amazing that I even wear it when I don’t have to wear a strapless.  BECAUSE IT’S JUST THAT GOOD.  The bra has perfectly rounded cups and you won’t ever find yourself pulling up on it.  It’s a thing of wonder, y’all!

And you know me, I almost always throw a denim jacket on top of a maxi dress.

This light wash denim jacket is from Amazon.  AND Y’ALL.  It’s SOOOOOOOOO good.  I got the medium wash during the fall and wore the heck out of it.  I didn’t get this light wash because I already have the KUT jacket in a light wash that I love, but I kept receiving questions about this specific jacket, so I ordered it just to try it.  Well, I’m keeping it.

I’m wearing a small and love the fit.  It’s got a little bit of stretch to it, the collar does a good job of standing up on its own (if you want it to), and it’s not too long or too short.  It’s a great little jacket and an awesome price point at just a little over $40.

NAVY FLORAL MAXI DRESS

The maxi dress in the collection is so fabulous that I grabbed it in the red above and in this fun pattern.  And it comes in two other patterns as well!

I’m in love with this one too.

Remember that I’m in a regular small and there’s still room to spare, so I would definitely suggest sizing down.

RUFFLE WRAP DRESS

First of all, the dress is a color block pattern in a gorgeous pink and beautiful red.  #yesplease

Second of all, the silhouette is incredibly flattering.  #yesplease

Third of all, the feminine ruffle at the neck is adorable.  #yesplease

And finally, the little bow at the waist is darling.  #yesplease

Oh, wait.  One more thing.  IT HAS POCKETS.

The dress is DARLING, it’s made of a crisp cotton poplin, and I feel great in it.

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, which is true to size for me in a dress like this (because I need the room in the chest).  It has a side zipper, but because of the elastic waist and the bit of stretch in the fabric, I’m able to just pull this one over my head. Unless you need extra room like me, I would suggest sizing down.

I always love dresses like this on others, but they don’t often work on me because of my chest.

I was absolutely thrilled when I put this on!  I love it so much.

I appreciate that there’s a little snap on the bust to guard against a wardrobe malfunction.  And the cut is so flattering to the arms and shoulders.

I’m completely smitten with this look.

If this color combo doesn’t work for you, it comes in a blue color block as well with a rich navy and a pretty light blue!  Seriously, even if this type of dress doesn’t typically work on you, you might want to give it a try.  I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised, like me!

TIERED COLOR BLOCK DRESS

Speaking of blue color block, look at this adorable little tiered dress!

Since I grabbed the dress above in red, I grabbed this one in the 3 shades of pretty blues.  But it also comes in a red, pink, and coral combo!

For size reference, I’m wearing a small in this dress. If between sizes, size down.  If you often need extra room in the chest, stick with your regular size.

It’s got a pretty little ruffle collar, tiny little gathers at the seams, a swingy little fit, and pockets!

It’s fully lined and made out of a cool poplin fabric!  This dress is fantastic too and can also be dressed up or down.

STRIPED RUFFLE NECK BLOUSE

Now that I’ve shared several dresses, it’s time for some separates.

This ruffle blouse is FABULOUS.  It has a slightly A-line shape, but I still love it with a half tuck.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

It comes in this coral stripe, 2 fun graphic patterns, a beautiful light pink, and a soft green/blue.  I think this coral stripe looks amazing with white jeans, but the collection also has a maxi skirt that matches it perfectly for a great little set!

The little gathered and ruffled neck is so feminine and pretty.

Here’s the same ruffle blouse in one of the amazing patterns!  It’s definitely dressy enough to wear with nice slacks or a pencil skirt, but it’s also super cute dressed down with distressed denim shorts!

    Oh my gosh, everything is so stinkn’ cute & colorful!!!!! I would say my favorite 2 pieces are the ruffled tank & the striped tired maxi skirt. I love how they would look super cute together, but would also look good separate too!!!!! I just love how all her pieces are mix & match!!!!!

    Love all these colorful pieces! My favorite is the strappy maxi, and I’d choose navy combo. Also, as a very long-time reader, I have to say that I don’t think I’ve ever seen you in a strappy dress where your shoulders and arms show… you look fabulous!! I’m sure the jean jacket makes you feel more comfortable, but you don’t *need* it to look amazing! 😉
