Happy Wednesday, Ladies! I hope everybody is having a great week, spending lots of good time with family, and checking lots of things off of their TO DO lists. The last couple of weeks have been really busy for me, but I’ve had a super productive week over here, and I feel like I’m about to be coasting in to the weekend! #bringonthetacos
I don’t know about you, but I can’t believe that we are already half way through September. The last several weeks I’ve been creating lots of content around Fall dressing, and I hope that you’ve been able to pick up some items that are making it easy for you to dress for Fall WHILE NOT DYING OF HEAT STROKE. It’s a delicate balance, y’all.
When I saw this blush military jacket online, it flew into my cart. It became the jumping-off point for the entire outfit, and I absolutely love the way everything came together. In fact, I love the outfit and all of the individual pieces so much that it’s the only outfit you are going to be seeing today. I felt like it deserved special attention.
If you’ve been reading here for a while, you are probably quite familiar with my love of a great military jacket. I own several in the classic olive green, one in grey, and one in camo. And I wear all of them all the time.
This blush one caught my eye, and I had to have it. I of course was drawn to the color, but my other favorite thing about this jacket is the structured collar. I love a stand up collar, and this one delivers.
In addition to my love for military jackets, my love for denim jackets is also VERY well documented, but a great military jacket has one distinct advantage. What’s that advantage you ask? A MILITARY JACKET ALWAYS LOOKS GOOD WITH YOUR FAVORITE JEANS.
Although I will wear denim on denim on occasion, I know that many of you aren’t on board with that, so a military jacket is your answer. These jackets combine style and function, and they come in many different colors and shapes, so there’s something for everybody.
This particular jacket is quite a bit heavier and warmer than I was expecting, so it’s going to be better suited for after the temperatures drop a bit. In fact, those that live up North should pay special attention to this one! It’s not going to keep you warm on snowy days, but I’m telling you, it’s heavier than it looks. It’s lined with a pink camo pattern, has functional zippers and snaps, and it also has an internal drawstring that allows you to cinch up the waist. For size reference, I’m wearing a 6.
And today the jacket is 30% OFF with the code VIP!
Now here’s where things get interesting and really cool. Let’s talk about the accessories.
Have you heard about 31 Bits? Thirty One Bits is a company that delivers exceptional handcrafted jewelry created by artisans in emerging economies. The women artisans creating the jewelry are inspired by architecture and tribal designs, and the collections use natural and up-cycled materials! Amazing!
I love the story behind the company (the brand was founded in 2008 by a group of college girlfriends after a life-changing trip to Uganda), and they obviously have such a wonderful mission!
I was absolutely thrilled when I saw that 31 Bits had been selected to be a part of The Workshop at Macy’s, the company’s first business development program. The Workshop at Macy’s was launched in 2011 and designed to give select high potential minority- and women-owned businesses the tools to better succeed and sustain growth in the retail industry. Very cool, Macy’s!
So, what does the jewelry look like?
These bracelets are some of my favorite pieces from 31 Bits! Aren’t they gorgeous? And don’t you just love that they have a story!
All of the products are THOUGHTFULLY DESIGNED and ETHICALLY MADE, and I love that Macy’s is making them available to their large audience.
The necklace you see here and the bracelets are just a couple of pieces from a much larger collection. The beads in both this necklace and bracelets are paper beads that are hand rolled by artisans in Uganda and Bali. The necklace is set on a 14k gold chain, and the bracelets have pretty brass accents. I love that the three tiered necklace combines 3 warm colors that all go together beautifully. The bracelets can of course be worn on their own, but I really think they make a statement all stacked together.
With so many beautiful colors in this outfit, I wanted the bag to have a colorful punch too. I knew this mustard tote would be perfect! And great news, it too is 30% OFF with the VIP code.
I’ve always loved pairing blush and mustard together.
It’s laptop compatible (a feature that I know is important to many of you), large (21.25″ x 13 x 4), and it also contains a medium sized removable pouch that can also be carried as a cross body bag, as well as a detachable wristlet. It’s good for everyday use, but it would also be great for travel. If mustard isn’t for you, it comes in black and cognac too.
These ankle jeans are the perfect length to show just a tiny bit of ankle with a pair of booties or flats, and I really like the extra design around the hem with the contrasting stitching and frayed hem.
They’re a great medium wash with no distressing, and I’m wearing my regular size 4s.
Right now they are on sale, and then an additional 30% OFF!
The booties are AWESOME. I love a wedge bootie for the comfort they provide, but I don’t always love the look. WELL, I THINK THESE ARE DARLING. The deep cut outs on the sides add a lot of interest and are very flattering. They are comfy, stylish, and true to size.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these booties! And they are a great price at 30% OFF right now!
I love the entire outfit from head to toe.

And I have to know…are you a military jacket lover too? If so, do you have a collection like me of several styles and colors, or do you have just 1 that you reach for again and again? Here are some other jackets to choose whether you are grabbing your first or adding to your collection.
Before you go, I’ve got one more thing for you today…
My last Macy’s post was several Sundays ago (since it coincided with a sale), so I’m afraid most of you missed it since Sundays aren’t a regular posting day for me over here. It was a beauty post, and although the previous sale is no longer going on, there is a NEW SALE! And I’m telling you, the post has a lot of great information in it as well as some truly amazing products.
I actually ordered 14 products, but only liked 8 of them enough to review them for y’all. And although I loved all 8 shown below, there were a couple of runaway favorites. I’m looking at you Pore Filler (ONLY $14!) and Butter Gloss (ONLY $5!).
Click HERE for the full post and all my thoughts! And FYI: Almost the entire Macy’s Beauty Department is now 15% OFF with the code VIP.
That’s it for today! A huge thank you to Macy’s and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.
