PRODUCT REVIEWS
Breakouts aren’t something I thought I would still be dealing with at my age, but here we are. Now, they aren’t frequent, but they do still happen. For the past couple of years, I’ve been spot treating any little bumps that popped up with a clay mask, and it worked pretty well, but now I feel like I have a secret weapon.
This tiny little bottle is packed full of salicylic acid that powerfully spot treats blemishes. My spots disappear faster, as does the redness that always goes along with them. And I’ve found that it dries the spot out, without over-drying my skin or causing me to peel. The second I even start to think that a blemish is about to pop up, I cover it up with just a dab of this gel. A teeny tiny little bit goes a long way. #alittledabwilldoya
If like me you are still struggling with occasional blemishes, I highly recommend giving this product a try!
I’ve always loved a bright and bold pink blush, and this one fits the bill! It’s highly pigmented, goes on smoothly, and has staying power. It gives my cheeks a beautiful pop of color, and I love you can build on the color to get just the right shade.
And get this. It’s ONLY $10 regularly, and today it’s ONLY $8.50.
Great blush, great value.
I’ve been using a moisturizer with SPF from a network marketing skincare company for years and years. It was the only thing I used from the company, so it’s always been kind of annoying when it’s time to reorder. But I continued to use it, because even though I’d tried MANY others, I never found one that I liked as much.
After pouring over online reviews, I decided to give this Clinique Sun SPF 50 Face Cream a try. It’s 100% fragrance free, and it feels much more like a moisturizer than a traditional sunscreen. It’s not greasy AT ALL and it absorbs into my skin very quickly. I have pretty sensitive skin, and this doesn’t irritate my face at all (and many sunscreens do).

This next item is my very favorite find from this post.
It’s NYX Pore Filler, and it’s MAGICAL.
I’ve been using Smashbox Even Skintone Primer for a while now, and I really like it. I feel like it provides a good foundation for the rest of my makeup and evens up my skin tone a bit.
HOWEVER, this Pore Filler Primer is a game-changer. When deciding what I wanted to try out and review for this post, I read hundreds of online reviews. When I read one reviewer who struggles with large pores said it was like “grout for your face“, I was SOLD.
I absolutely love and am SO IMPRESSED with the results this product gives, and I truly feel like it smooths/minimizes the large pores on my nose. It IS grout for my face. And I’m here for it.
I’ve started using this primer as more of a spot treatment (all over my nose), and I continue to use the Smashbox Primer on the rest of my face.
It’s regularly just $14, and with the beauty event today it’s ONLY $11.90. I would pay three times as much for this product.
Do you have brows that aren’t easily tamed? I can brush my brows into place, but it certainly doesn’t mean that they are going to stay where I put them. BUT THIS BROW GEL, Y’ALL! I got the clear gel, and it does what it’s supposed to do. I sweep it on, and my eyebrows stay put.
AND THIS MASCARA!!!! This mascara blew me away. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that even though I’ve tried countless numbers of mascaras, I’ve never found one that I loved. I’m constantly buying new ones, listening to recommendations from friends and readers, but I’m never happy with a mascara’s performance. BUT I LOVE THIS NYX mascara. The number one thing I like about it is that it doesn’t clump. The brush shape lends itself to coating each individual lash, and it adds volume and length. Without the beauty event, it’s just $8. Today it’s ONLY $6.80! #whatintheworld
And don’t forget the Diorshow lash primer and extender I’ve sworn by for years and my favorite eyeliner (I wear “alloy”). FYI: The links seems to be not functioning for the primer, so type in “Diorshow triple volume” in the Macy’s search bar to find it.
Anastasia Clear Brow Gel / Worth The Hype NYX Mascara
I ordered 7 lip glosses for this post. #whatcanisay #ilovelipgloss
Two of them were seriously delayed and I’ve yet to receive them, but I did receive 5 and I tried all 5.
These 2 emerged as my tip top favorites, even over the more expensive NARS that I ordered!
The Tarte Glossy Lip Paint is almost like a lipstick and lip gloss in one. It’s super pigmented, it stays on, and it’s shiny too! It’s thicker than a normal gloss, but it’s still more the texture of a gloss than a lipstick.
This NYX Butter Gloss is too good to believe. First of all, IT’S $5. FIVE DOLLARS (but today ONLY $4.25!). It goes on soooo smoothly, it’s not sticky at all, and it just feels really good on. It’s got a silky feel, and it’s very moisturizing. I wear this over lipstick to add shine, but I also wear it on its own for just a sheer and shiny lip.

This next item keeps going in and out of stock, but I had to post it just in case it pops back up again.
This 5 – piece brush set is obviously DARLING, but the brushes are also awesome! They pick up and transfer color well, and they wash up well without bristle loss. The set includes the following:
- Dense angled foundation brush for foundation
- Dome cheek brush for contour, bronzer and highlighter
- Flat shader brush for shadow
- Large powder brush for loose powder
- Stippling brush for liquid formulas
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and scored some deals that you are super excited about! These are the products I’m highly recommending today, just click on what you are interested in:

I have huge pores on my nose and nothing I’ve tried seems to shrink them, so I CANNOT WAIT wait try the “grout”! ? Also, I wanted to let readers know that right now at Ulta, the NYX Worth the Hype mascara is $5.60 and the Butter Gloss is $3.50! Nope, that’s not a typo. Three-freakin’-fifty. #rundontwalk

I agree with Tammy and love Macy’s! I already love the mascara and gloss, and I’m definitely trying the pore filler and your eyeliner.

Like you, I love a good lipgloss and lipstick! Your recommendation for Tarte Glossy Lip Paint in Double Tap was ON POINT! You had me at “lipstick and lipgloss in one!” It’s a gorgeous shade, not sticky and has some great staying power for a gloss. Bonus, it doesn’t seem bleed. Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Yay! So glad you love it and agree, Claire!!!! xoxo
