Today is the final installment in my 3 part series with Talbots. Back in March, I showed a casual outfit and an office look. I thought both looks were classic and very “me”, and y’all loved seeing the business casual option! With everything going on in the world, we took a break in April and May…but I was back in June with several Summer tops, a great pair of jeans, and some awesome wedges. I got great feedback from that post too, and the blue and white striped top and the wedges seemed to be the biggest hits.
Today I have 4 more outfits to share with you. I’ve got a maxi dress, another business casual look, a great Summer sweater with jeans, and an athleisure look that totally surprised me (in the best possible way)!
But before we get started today, you need to know that today is Cyber Monday for Talbots. You definitely need to take advantage of this amazing sale, because the entire site is 50% OFF plus FREE SHIPPING! WOW!
This first outfit is one that you’ll feel great in, and the best part is you will feel like you are wearing pajamas.
The split neck maxi is crazy soft, has a drawstring waist for a super flattering fit, and has high side slits for easy movement. The navy and pink stripes are a fresh combination and it has pockets!
This dress can easily be dressed up or down and is very versatile. It could be great for running around town doing errands, but it could also be great for a more casual day at the office.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
Let’s talk about the bag.
I love the nautical inspired cross body strap, and the purse is beautifully made. It’s a great medium size at 10″, it has a zip closure, and it has 2 interior pockets (1 open and 1 closed). Round bags this size are hard to find, and I feel that they are most often too small and can’t hold anything or are way too large. This one really is a perfect size.
The strap can easily be removed, and you can carry the bag by the handle if you prefer.
The sandals are great too, but we’ll talk more about them with outfit #2.
This next outfit would work for so many different occasions. You could wear it to a lunch date with friends, a day at the office, or to church.
The shell is made of linen and has a great split neck. When worn out, it falls below my hips, but you can see that you can 1/2 tuck it as well. I feel that tops like this are often boxy, but not this one! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
The pants are made of a bi-stretch Magic Fabric that smooths and shapes to create an instantly flattering silhouette. I’m on board with that. And I fell in love with the whimsical but classic scallop tile print.
For size reference, I’m wearing a 6 Petite. These are the perfect cropped length for my 5’4″ frame.
Okay, let’s talk about the sandals
They are the same sandals that I’m wearing with the maxi in Outfit #1 and with the white jeans in Outfit #3.
They boast a memory foam foot bed, a non slip sole, are made from Napa leather, and are topped off with a great rattan buckle. The navy is classic, but they also come in a beautiful Papaya (orange) and a cool Poolside (light turquoise). They only come in 1/2 sizes, and since I’m normally a 6 1/2, I sized up a 1/2 size for the perfect fit.
Ooh! I just saw that they also come in a madras plaid, a metallic gold, and a blue and white seersucker! Click HERE for these other options.
At 50% OFF, these sandals are a total steal at $39.75 (reg. $79.50)!
I love the whole look.
Outfit #3 is really all about the sweater.
It’s super cute, and it will pair well with white jeans, with regular blue jeans, and with denim shorts.
The sweater is extremely lightweight, 100% cotton, and the rainbow stripes are bright and fun! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
Styled with white jeans, the outfit is bright and fresh!
Okay, Ladies. This next outfit might surprise you, because it sure as heck surprised me.
This skirt is called a yoga skirt, but I feel like it would also be perfect for golf. So I guess I need to take up yoga or golf.
OR I could just wear it around town, and people can think I’m headed to yoga or golf. #thatsmorelikeit
More on the skirt in a minute.
The hooded jacket is crafted with UPF 50+ sun protection and is trimmed with colorful and fun piping and ribbon trim.
For size reference, I’m in a small and it’s still a relaxed fit, so I would definitely suggest sizing down if between sizes.
The skirt is adorable. Actually, it’s a skort. I don’t think I’ve worn a skort since I was in elementary school, but I think this one is darling. Click HERE to see all the skort options since many of them are low stock.
The vivid floral is so eye catching, and I can’t even believe how comfortable it is. The material is incredibly stretchy, it’s got zippered pockets, and it has built in comfy bike shorts underneath. For size reference, I’m wearing a small, but I would have preferred a petite small (they just didn’t have any in store).
I mean! I never would have thought I would be excited about a skort, but here we are! Haha! I’M EXCITED ABOUT THIS SKORT.
The sneakers are wonderfully light and comfy, but they run super small. I suggest ordering up a full size.
So, does somebody want to meet me for a doubles match? Or a round on the back 9?
No? Well, then let’s just meet for brunch. Because this is the perfect outfit for brunch too! And I’m more of a brunch girl anyway. Haha!
I hope you enjoyed all 4 looks today! All of the outfits make sense for my life and fit well into my closet.
If you’re like me, you might have previously believed that Talbots was really geared to a more mature demographic. And while they do dress older women very well, I’ve definitely realized that I can find pieces that I love as well.
So I’m curious, have you always been a Talbots shopper? Or maybe you’ve tried them out recently as a result of one of my posts? Sound off in the comments!
A huge thank you to Talbots and Shopstyle for sponsoring this post.
