But great news, I’ve got MORE GREAT ITEMS today from the sale! If you’re new around these parts, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale introduces fall and winter items at a deeply reduced introductory price.  The items are introduced with SALE PRICES, and then when the sale is over, the prices go back up. It’s Nordstrom’s way of encouraging us to start buying fall stuff when it is still 100 degrees outside.  AND IT WORKS.  Because the deals are fantastic. #andweareallsuckersforagreatdeal

MORE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE FAVORITES

LOUNGEWEAR

I forgot to share some of my favorite pajamas with you yesterday!  I’ve talked about these the last couple of years, and I was excited that both the pants and the shorts are both in the sale again.  I always size up in pajamas because I want the most relaxed fit possible, so I’m wearing a medium in both.

And although I highlighted the baby blardigan and the NEW blardigan yesterday, I had some people messaging me for the original blardigan.  I have no idea how I accidentally left it off the post, but here it is!

This is the blardigan that started the craze.  The OG blardi, if you will. Haha!  This is the one I love wearing at home the most because you can really wrap up in it.  This is the one that Carter has too.  And yes, he has it in my size and he loves how it’s long on him and how it really keeps him cozy and warm.

This is the original blardigan in all of it’s cozy glory. It has pockets and this waterfall type drape. It also comes in a really dark grey (almost black) and pewter.

And just to streamline your shopping, I thought I would go ahead and drop the other blardigans in this post as well.

The baby blardigan is the shortest of all the blardigans, it has a rounded hem, and it has pockets.  I  wear it both in and out of the house. The x-small/small is the size I prefer, but the next size up is just a more relaxed fit and has a bit of extra length (which some prefer).  The arms are fitted, which is what allows it to be worn out of the house (and not just look like lounge wear), so consider sizing up if you prefer extra room in your arms.

Also, I’m wearing this white tee throughout today’s post, but it’s quite thin, so I don’t actually recommend it in the white.

The new blardigan on the block is awesome.  Remember the hooded blardigan from last year?  It’s very similar in shape and fit to that one, but this one does NOT have a hood.  It’s the hoodless hooded blardigan.  And I love it.

I get a new blardigan just about every year (this is a no judgement zone, ya’ll! ha!), and this year I grabbed the beautiful olive green (seen on the left).  I’m so pumped about this new color.

I get questions all the time on if I wear blardigans out of the house, and the answer is always HECK, YES!  You can see above how I styled the baby blardigan super casually with jeans and sneakers.  Below you will see how I dressed the new blardigan up with booties, a belt, and some jewelry!  You can lounge around in them all day at home (I’ve even been known to sleep in mine), but you can also wear them to the office!  Or church!  Or on a date night!

Sizing Tip:  I’m wearing an x-small here, but I think I might prefer the fit of a regular small for a little extra room.

And let’s not ever forget about the items we wear every dang day. These 3 items are worth every dang penny at full price, but when they go on sale it’s time to stock up!!!!  YOU’RE WORTH IT!

SPANX DISTRESSED SKINNY JEANS

All right, ladies.

I’ve got another new item for you today, and I think I’m about to blow you away.

I’m about to recommend a pair of SPANX distressed skinny jeans.  Listen, nobody is more surprised than me.

And actually, I’m not just going to casually recommend them, I’m going to highly recommend them.  If you are somebody that doesn’t enjoy the half tuck, you need to consider these jeans.  And if you are somebody that loves wearing long tunics with jeans, these should be a total no brainer for you.

I know that so many bloggers rave about and swear by the SPANX faux leather leggings and I absolutely love the way they look, but since I rarely dress up enough for those, I thought this denim pair would be fun to try.

I mean, I love jeans….and I love leggings…so this is the perfect marriage for me.

IMPORTANT: Pay no attention to how they are styled on the Nordstrom site because it is ALL SORTS OF WRONG.  I also don’t think the picture on the site is representative of how they actually look. However, if you go to the site and watch the video, I think you will get an accurate picture of the wash and the hem.  But again, pay no attention to how the sales associate in the video says to style them “with a chiffon shirt and mules”.  No m’am.

I’ll be styling them with long sweaters paired with boots and booties.  Let’s remember the rule we learned years ago, ladies:  Cover Your Crotchal Areas.  It’s a rule to live by.

These babies feel like leggings on, but they look like jeans (if styled appropriately with a long top).

This sweater is the perfect style, fit, and length for leggings. I especially love the little side slit and the snap detailing.  However, this oatmeal color was a little too sheer for my liking, and I think you would need a cami with this color specifically.  Just grab another color if you don’t want to deal with a cami.

Sizing Tips: I’m wearing a small in the sweater.  I’m wearing a medium in the leggings, and it took some effort on my part to get them on, but that could be because I was close to having a heat stroke in the dressing room.  Once they were on, they were quite comfortable!  I wear a small in Zella leggings for reference…but needed a medium in these.

You can see here that I’m wearing them with booties, but they would look amazing with tall boots.  You know how it’s sometimes hard to smoothly tuck your jeans into tall boots because of all the fabric?  Well, these SPANX denim leggings would totally fix that problem!  You would just slip your tall boots right on without having to fight with extra fabric.

JEANS OF ALL KINDS

In yesterday’s post, I did a full review of my two favorite pairs of basic denim in the sale.   One of them was Kut from the Kloth, and today’s post includes two new KUT pairs of jeans. I’m loving the fact that I’m continuing my brand ambassadorship with the KUT brand during the sale, and I’m thrilled that you are all continuing to love the brand too!  Today I’m talking about a new pair that really up my cool factor. I took a risk with these. I’ve never had any think like them in my closet, and I’m loving how edgy they are!  The angle is weird in the picture, but they are actually shorter on me than they appear. The length is okay on my 5’4″ frame, but I think they’d be even better for taller girls.

Sizing Tip:  I’m wearing my regular size 27s in the jeans, a medium in the sweater, and I sized down a 1/2 in the flats.

I also think these black jeans are fab, and they are also from KUT.

They are a tiny bit faded (which I like), and the dark wash is very slimming.  They have a raw hem, and although they are described as high-waisted, I just think they are a mid rise (on the higher side).  Ha!

I paired them with the J. Crew leopard Tippi sweater and my new wedge booties and thought the whole look was totally chic!  (The sweater also comes in a really cool camo.)

Sizing Tips: I’m wearing a medium in the sweater, 4s in the jeans, and the booties were true to size for me.

MORE FABULOUS SWEATERS

But I have some more sweaters today!

Here’s a lightweight sweater that I’ve actually been wearing for a couple of years now, and I just can’t quit it.  It’s the super soft fleece material that Gibson is known for, and it really is amazing fabric.  It’s hard to see in the black, but it has a great little twist happening up front.  This top is great for those of you that don’t like doing a half tuck, even though you like the look.  This gives the illusion of a half tuck and is very flattering.  It also comes in grey, blue, pink, and a great cheetah print!

This next sweater is really chunky and very warm, so it’s pretty much the opposite of the lightweight sweater above, but I have a place for both types of sweaters!

I love a chunky sweater, but it’s really the color combo and the over-sized ribbed trim that got me on this one.  And isn’t it so fun paired with the leopard booties? This same sweater comes in solid color options HERE. Click HERE for all Topshop sweaters in the sale.

Sizing Tip:  Size down, I am wearing an x-small and it’s still over-sized.

Once again, I’m smitten with the stripes.  And this sweater is crazy soft.

The relaxed turtleneck is appreciated because nothing is worse than a too tight neck, and I love that it can be worn out or with a half tuck.  It comes in several great solid colors too.

Sizing:  I’m wearing a small and there’s still room.

MORE LOOKS WITH THE BEST WORK PANTS EVER

Yesterday I introduced you to these pants.  You know, just the best pair of  black pants I have ever put on my body.

Just in case you didn’t full realize how over the top obsessed I am with these pants, I wanted to be sure to talk about them again today BECAUSE THE ARE FLIPPING AMAZING, so you are going to get my full review again after these two new outfits.  Sizing tips below as well.

Here I paired them with a green sweater (this is my favorite color green!) and some classic black heels, but this outfit would be cute with leopard heels (also in the sale).  This sweater is perfectly slouchy, very soft, and comes in several colors.  I’m wearing a small.

And now I’m going to repost one of my very favorite outfits from the entire sale.  I want you to hear my full review on these pants again because they are just that good.  Definitely a Top 3 find for me from the entire sale.

I obviously don’t work in an office, but I’m so happy to have a pair of pants like this in my closet.  EVERYBODY NEEDS A  PAIR OF CLASSIC BLACK PANTS.  And if they look amazing but feel like pajamas, EVEN BETTER!  The fabric has a nice weight to it, they don’t show wrinkles, and I love the built in belt.  AND LADIES.  THEY ARE SOOOOOOO INCREDIBLY FLATTERING.  I feel like a million bucks in these pants.  Oh, and they also have the Ab-solution power mesh panels!  The belt is made out of the same stretchy fabric that the pants are, and I love how its presence helps to define my waist.

Let’s talk sizing.  I’m in my regular 4s, and I wasn’t able to try on 2s since they weren’t in store, but I’m thinking that everybody should size down.  I was able to pull the 4s on without even undoing the little belt or zipper.  That’s how stretchy they are.  I’m actually ordering all 3 pairs in size 2s today for myself.  I’m wearing the regulars and love the fit, but they come in petite too!

UPDATE:  MY SIZE 2s CAME IN AND THEY ARE GREAT!  DEFINITELY SIZE DOWN!!!

Here they are with one of my very favorite blouses from the sale!  I adore the blush cheetah pattern, the little ruffle neck, AND THE SLEEVES ARE TO DIE FOR.  They puff out a bit and are then gathered close to the bottom which creates a nice little feminine ruffle.  I love the sleeve length and how they cover up the entire top 1/2 of my arm.

The blouse pairs perfectly with these dressy pants, but it would also look great with skinny jeans and tall boots, or boot cut jeans and heels!  Seriously.  Think how cute that would be.

Sizing Tip:  I’m wearing a medium because I needed the room in the chest…but otherwise, stick to your regular size.

And because I feel like I must share these again too…these amazing pants don’t just come in black, they come in 2 patterns as well!

Here they are in a great plaid!  These are the exact same pants, just a different pattern.  They also come in a small muted grey check that I can’t wait to receive!  Again, I suggest sizing down (the size 2s are on their way to me).

This faux wrap sweater is a wonderful basic in black, but it comes in 9 total patterns, including a leopard colorway that is darling.  It’s tacked right where it crosses at the chest, so there shouldn’t be any wardrobe malfunctions.

Sizing Tip:  I’m wearing a medium in the sweater.  Size down in the pants.

If you prefer a classic crew neck, this is the one I’m recommending from the sale (you’ll see it below in a great color block pattern with jeans).

JACKETS

This quilted jacket is adorable and there are so many things I love about it.  I love the color (although it also comes in a great blush!), I love the hardware, and I love the stand up collar.  This jacket has great style!

It’s lined with teddy bear fleece throughout the body of the jacket (not the sleeves), so even though it’s just a medium weight, the jacket will provide good warmth!

And get this.  It’s under $60.  I love this color, but I highly encourage you to hop over to see the pretty blush option as well!

I had some questions yesterday about UGGs in the sale, and I thought this hot pink pair of fuzzy slippers was great.  These would make a great gift and are an incredible value at $55.

MORE ZELLA GEAR

Zella ombre leggings are some of my favorites and have been for the last couple of years.  There’s something about the blurred lines that make them crazy flattering, and I’m here for it.

These are of course the high waisted option, because I don’t wear anything but high waisted anymore.  Life’s too short.

When I get the full length leggings, they are SEVERAL inches too long for me (I’m 5’4″).  I just cuff them up and don’t worry about it, but the longer length is great news for you taller ladies!  I’m wearing a small.

I ADORE THESE HIGH WAISTED ANKLE LEGGINGS.  They come up above my belly button, and they suck me in like crazy, while somehow still allowing me to breathe and be 100% comfortable.  THEY ARE MAGIC.  Once I tried the high waisted option a couple of years ago, I have never purchased the regular rise again.  And although I own lots of different lengths of Zella leggings, this slightly above the ankle version is my favorite.

And get this, this year’s version has a great little pocket on the side!  So cute and obviously functional!  And they still manage to be super slimming.  If you prefer the longer length, click HERE.
