GET THIS.  What a difference a year makes!  WHERE DID MY BABY GO?  This side-by-side seriously takes my breath away.  We are so proud of the young man he is becoming, but I sure do miss those baby cheeks!

I am LOVING all of the sweet and wonderful comments about Monday’s post!  Y’all were so supportive and excited about Conner’s WORK WEAR post that we are DEFINITELY going to make it a monthly series!!!!  WooHoo!

**********WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO**********

Carter’s baseball team played in a tournament last weekend and won!  We absolutely love our team.  The boys and the coaches are just all so supportive and fun.  🙂  The team photo was taken by one of the player’s moms that owns a photography business.  GO SOX!

I’m in the middle of working on a jeans post for the blog next week…..but not blue jeans, my favorite new grey jeans (they come in plus size too HERE)!  And my black jeans!  Both of these jeans are MADE FOR FALL, and I have several easy (but DARLING) looks to show y’all!

Carter has a baseball game on Friday night and we are having people over on Sunday afternoon for some grilling and pool time!

**********WHAT I’M WEARING***********

Well, I wasn’t wearing this jacket or bag this past weekend (it was H! O! T!)…but I was wearing my Weekend Warrior tee, jeans, and converse when my order arrived on my doorstep with the jacket and bag. It took me all of about 30 seconds to put them both on.  And they are both awesome!

I really ordered both of them just to show y’all.  I already have a similar military jacket and similar bag, but they are both sold out and I get asked questions about them all them time, so I wanted to see if I liked these as options!  Well, I DO!  I’m not keeping the jacket because I have a super similar one from a couple of years ago, but I do really love it.  I think the little tab collar is cute, and I really like the longer length.  You can cinch in the waist with the internal ties.

And spoiler alert:  I’m keeping the bag.  The color is gorgeous and I love the grommet detailing.

Size References:  DEFINITELY size down in the jacket.  I’m wearing an x-small, and I’m NEVER an x-small, especially in a jacket.  I’m most often a small, but sometimes a medium.  So anyway, SIZE DOWN.  I sized up in the tee to a medium for a bit of a slouchy look.

***********BONUS QUESTION:  FAVORITE FALL TRANSITION PIECE***********

A light jacket is my favorite transition piece because you can wear a regular outfit you’d wear in warmer weather, and then just throw a light jacket on top of it!  I have two favorite light jackets:  a denim jacket and a military jacket.  And great news, both of my denim jackets are still available.  THIS one in the light wash (available at Macy’s HERE and cheaper!) and THIS one in the dark wash.  I swear by both of them.

Here’s the light wash in an outfit from this spring.  As you can see, this is a year round jacket.  It looks just as great with a white eyelet dress as it will with a pair of cords and a fitted sweater.  Now here’s a sad story, I LOST THIS JACKET.  Yes, I know.  It’s terrible.  I’m sure I left it at a restaurant or something, but I just can’t remember.  I’m sure whoever found it is THRILLED and LOOKING DARLING.  😉   I of course bought a new one immediately.  #sheaffertoldmeto #itsamusthave
