WHAT WE ARE EATING 

Okay, just last week we started a healthy eating kick around here. Why? Well, it’s pretty simple really. We just got tired of being uncomfortable in our clothes. You know, we like to breathe with ease when we are dressed. Haha! 😉

Starting off on a healthy eating plan is always hard, but the great news is that when Chris commits to healthy eating, THE BOY COMMITS. And this of course really helps me to stay the course as well.

We’ve been eating super healthy lunches and dinners over here, and after just a week, we are already feeling better!

Here’s an example of one of our meals. I used my Big Oven Pan from the Our Place Ovenware Set and cooked everything at once. That’s green beans, frozen corn, and turkey sausage. All I did was spray the pan with some olive oil and sprinkle everything with some salt and freshly ground pepper. I added some garlic powder as well. After the sausage was browned, I squirted out a little bit of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce on top. It was so easy, took about 20 minutes to prepare from start to finish, and clean up was a breeze because everything was made in this one pan.

I’M IN LOVE WITH THIS PAN.

I wish you could buy it on its own, but it comes in a set with ceramic bakers. I’ve been using those too (and loving them as well), but it’s the pan that I’m absolutely obsessed with.

Another night, another meal using the Big Oven Pan from the Our Place Ovenware Set.

Chris grilled a flank steak, and we had fajitas with low carb tortillas. I don’t even care if my fajitas have meat, I just like them piled high with sauteed veggies! I used this pan last month when we had 20 people at our house for a little get together. You wouldn’t believe the amount of veggies I was able to sauté on this bad boy. There were probably 5x the amount seen below.

WHAT I’M LOVING

Okay, ladies.

This hoodie has become a fall MUST HAVE for me, and I’m pretty certain if you grab it that it will become a MUST HAVE for you too! I started out with white one last year and I FELL IN LOVE. I wore it constantly, and then my friends at Social Threads sent me the coral one. I wore it allllllllll the time as well. I wear it a lot with denim shorts when the weather first starts to turn cooler.

It had been since March or so since I’d had one on, but trying these new ones on rekindled my love.

This hoodie is PERFECT for leggings. It’s a little bit longer in the back, it has a banded hem, and it has a cute and flattering fit. It also has a kangaroo pocket and ribbed cuffs on the sleeves. See how the arms are long? That’s because they have thumbholes (you can see me showing them in the picture with the plum hoodie). If I don’t have my thumbs in the thumbholes, I typically turn them up 1 big cuff.

My favorite part of the sweatshirt is probably the snap neckline. It just makes it extra cute.

Do you remember my sneakers from earlier this month? I’m wearing them all the time with shorts and dresses now, but look how great they look with my leggings! The black laces really make the look. I’m in my regular size, but I would suggest sizing down a 1/2.

I really really love them. They’re comfy for all day wear, and I just think they are fabulous.

They really do up the cute factor of pretty much any outfit. And I actually love the black laces, but they do come with a neutral pair of laces in the box as well.

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT

Anytime there is a sitewide sale, I feel compelled to review a handful of my favorite products. There’s more that I swear by, but here are some of the cream of the crop.

Out of all of the products in the Colleen Rothschild line, the Cleansing Balm is my favorite product by far. It totally changes the taking off your makeup game, and I’m telling you, you won’t even dread washing your face at night. I KNOW. That’s a big claim, but I stand behind it.

This balm truly has a cult following. For those of you that haven’t tried it yet, it’s different than any other cleanser I’ve ever used. First of all, I apply it to a dry face. I scoop out a small amount of the balm with dry hands and slather it on to my dry face. As I rub it on my face, the heat from my hands changes the balm into more of an oily texture and it just feels incredibly luxurious. It melts my makeup away, leaves my skin feeling amazing and hydrated, and the light citrus smell is PERFECT.

And listen, if you’re concerned about the price, don’t be. This jumbo tub will last most people around 9 months!

After cleansing my face, I use the peel pads. I’ve been using the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads for a couple of years now, and I absolutely swear by them. After adding them to my weekly routine years ago, I’ve never looked back.

So, what are they? Remember the Stridex pads we all used as teenagers? Well, these are the new and much improved version! While the Stridex pads were salicylic acid and more of an acne treatment, the CR pads are glycolic and lactic acid, both used for cell turnover.

We’re talking a spa-strength treatment formula that helps to help dissolve skin-clogging dirt and debris. Whenever my skin is feeling dull or lackluster, I use this scrub to wake up my face and really brighten it right on up. After using it, my skin is SO SOFT and it truly does look healthier and more glowy. It refines texture, helps reduce clogged pores and brightens dull complexions by buffing away dead skin cells using the power of ultra-fine crystals. 

I don’t like to spend a lot of time or money on expensive spa treatments, but this scrub is like an at home alternative to professional microdermabrasian treatment.

Do you see the rose quartz pieces below? When I rub the scrub on my face, it feels like very very fine sand. It gently (but efficiently!) exfoliates and reveals newer and fresher skin.

IT’S AN INCREDIBLE PRODUCT.

The Face Oil #9 used to be too much for my skin, but now I can’t imagine it not being a part of my nightly routine. Colleen touts it as the ultimate in skin luxury, and I have to agree. It improves radiance. RADIANCE! Who doesn’t want to increase their radiance?!?

I put 1 full pump in my hand with the Extreme Recovery Cream (also seen below) and apply it all over my face and neck. It hydrates and plumps like nothing else I’ve ever used. The Extreme Recovery Cream is thick, rich, and ultra-creamy. My skin absolutely drinks this special little cocktail up.

And I’m not the only one that swears by it in my family. My mom and sister do as well. WHAT I’M WORKING ON

I have quite a few brand partnerships this coming month that I’m super excited about. I’ve been scouring websites the past couple of days, looking for items that I want to feature for y’all. As always, my orders are HUGE because I want to have plenty of items to choose from once they arrive. The ordering of the items and the sorting through the items when they get delivered is actually a really time consuming activity, but I’m happy all of the orders have been placed! Now, I just wait on allllllllllll of the boxes to arrive.

WHAT I’M WEARING

So “What I’m Wearing” this month is really more like “What I’m Going to be Wearing Once it Cools Off and Doesn’t Feel Like The Surface of the Sun”. Catchy, right?

Some of these outfits are ones that you saw on Monday’s post, but today you are going to get to see them in mirror selfies! Some of the outfits are brand spanking new, and you might have seen them in a collage, but you haven’t seen them on me yet.

All of these outfits have pieces that are perfect for fall!

This first outfit is classic and chic, and I love the extra style that the jewelry and the plaid mules bring to the outfit. This sweater is such a great basic that can be dressed up or down (it comes in 4 colors), AND HOW CUTE ARE THESE JEANS! Here’s the exact same outfit, but the jeans are a darker wash with a different hem. They have just a tiny bit of distressing on them up by the hip, so I’m guessing they are work appropriate for most of you for jean days!

You saw this peasant blouse on Monday’s post styled with my favorite boot cut jeans, but I love it with these cropped flares too! I’m having a boho moment, and I dig it.

The blouse is a gorgeous color. It’s officially called “twilight mauve”, but I think of it as a smoky lilac color. It has lacy embroidered smocking up top with a split v neck and tassels. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I showed you this outfit on Monday, but this color of the blouse sold out and so many of you were so sad! I get it, because its an awesome shirt and a gorgeous color.

But guess what! It comes in this pretty creamy white too and most sizes are still available. It’s a great closet staple. It is an oversized fit, so I am wearing a small.

This floral peplum blouse looks great with jeans, but I’ve also shown it before (in mirror selfies) with my favorite black pants ever. I’m wearing the “navy multi-block print”. The cut is so flattering and it feels like you are wearing pajamas. I’m wearing a small in the top.

The cardigan is a piece you are going to see on repeat throughout the season. It comes in tons of colors, but you need to scroll down on the listing to make sure you see all of the options. This is the “pink adobe” and it’s a really soft and pretty blush. I also love the “tan cobblestone heather”, although it’s kind of hard to see past the outfit styling on the site. It would be a wonderful neutral cardi to have in your closet. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

If you work in an office environment, YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO HAVE THESE PANTS.

Seriously, they are a MUST HAVE. They are super soft with a lot of stretch and they are incredibly comfy. I’m telling you, there’s nothing like them. The front pockets are functional, and they have a faux zipper, but they do have 2 hook and eye closures with 1 button.

You should replace all of your black slacks you own with these. You will never want to wear any other black pants again for the rest of your life. And I’m telling you, I’m not even being dramatic. THEY’RE THAT GOOD. They are stretchy, comfy, and incredibly flattering.

For size reference, I recommend sizing down 1 in the pants.

I think it’s a great fall outfit. I’m wearing it with neutral booties here, but I think it will be even cuter with sneakers. I’m wearing a small in the dress and a medium in the jacket.

These joggers aren’t your typical soft cotton knit joggers, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not awesome. They have a cuffable tapered leg and an adjustable drawcord waist add classic features to these lightweight yet durable pants with two-way stretch. I’m wearing the olive, but they come in blush too. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

As you can see, these would be great for all day wear when running around town. I even think teachers could wear them on non jeans days too!

LAST 3 THINGS I’VE PURCHASED FROM AMAZON

1. This carpet tape came in last week and it is PHENOMENAL. I have a rug in a small hallway that has had one of those sticky rug pads under it for years, BUT IT ALWAYS MOVE. Like it moves every single dang day. So I tried this carpet tape and its a FREAKING MIRACLE WORKER! The rug hasn’t moved in 5 days and I’m soooo happy! I got so tired messing with the rug daily, and I haven’t touched it now in almost a week! WOOHOO!
2. This super soft cardi in oatmeal! It is seriously soooooooooooo soft! It’s got a great fit too. It’s a good one.
3. A reader sent me a passionate e-mail letting me know that I had to try these undies. I got them yesterday and put a pair on after showering last night. She’s right! They’re awesome! And right now you can grab a 3 pack ON SALE for under $8! WHAT IN THE WORLD. I got the hipsters.
