Happy Wednesday! It’s time for everybody to join up today with Shay and me and let us know WHAT’S UP this fine Wednesday!
Let’s get right to it!

WHAT WE ARE EATING
Y’all. I’ve got nothing for you here. #zippo
I went out to eat a couple of times and planned on taking pics of some of my favorite dishes to share…and it totally slipped my mind until AFTER I had gobbled it all up. #oops

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
Same old same old over here, which includes lots of cozy couch time and snuggling.
I mean, make yourself at home Charlie. Don’t worry about the pillows.
Buddy sure does love his brother.
After soccer a couple of weeks ago, I caught this sweet pic of Carter hugging my dad after the game. So sweet.

WHAT I’M LOVING
Okay, girls!
LISTEN UP!
I’ve got a great new combo to share with you. You’ve heard me talk about the Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops and the SuperGoop Glow Screen many times before and know I love both products. But here’s the deal, you’ve never heard me talk about using them together….because I’d never done that before.
But now I have.
AND Y’ALL! USING THEM TOGETHER IS FABULOUS.
Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops / SuperGoop Glow Screen
Last week I had what I can now only refer to as a STROKE OF FREAKING GENIUS.
So I used to either use Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops as a tinted moisturizer OR I would use SuperGoop Glow Screen as a primer under real foundation or as my foundation during the day (during spring and summer months).
One day I was explaining to my mom why I loved each product because she was interested in trying the Glow Screen and wanted to know what the differences were between the two. When talking her through the differences, I shared how I love the bronzy color that the Sunshine Drops provided, but I also loved the spf and the coverage that the Glow Screen provided.
Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops / SuperGoop Glow Screen
AND THAT’S WHEN GENIUS STRUCK.
Instead of mixing the Sunshine Drops with moisturizer, WHY NOT MIX THE SUNSHINE DROPS WITH THE GLOW SCREEN???
When mixed, magic happens. I get the bronzy color I love from the Sunshine Drops…and I get the spf, healthy glow, and coverage from the Glow Screen.
I’M A FLIPPING GENIUS.
Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops / SuperGoop Glow Screen
I immediately knew that I loved the combo, but I wanted reassurance that my genius was real before I shared it with y’all, so I texted Shay. When she saw my picture, she immediately responded that she didn’t have the sunshine drops, but I explained to her that she did (mine was just old packaging). Shay had used the sunshine drops before but hadn’t loved them. After talking to me, she realized she had used wayyyyyyyy too much at a time. I basically use 1/2 a squirt for an application, and she had used several squirts! #hellotan
She tried my new combo the next day and confirmed my genius.
If y’all try this combo, let me know your thoughts! I’m guessing many of you already have both products, but have never used them together either. Do it today!
I’m also LOVING the restocks I found this week:
I’m so pumped that this tiered skirt is back!
First of all, it has an elastic drawstring waist. I MEAN. I feel like I could end it there.
It also has a cute little ruffle in the middle with tiny little pleats. It’s a really cute fit, and I love this rusty color. I ordered the small and the medium, and I preferred the fit of the medium because it gave me a little extra length. It comes in some solids and lots of patterns.
white tee / must have denim jacket / my favorite earrings /necklace / tiered skirt /reversible cognac tote / bandana (tungsten glow multi) /bracelet / cognac sandals
This is the pajama set is SO DANG CUTE! I love the adorable pattern, I love the comfy fit, and I’ve worn it at morning car pool on more than 1 occasion. Haha! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium (but a small would have been fine on me in this one).
FYI, I did modify these a bit. They had a faux drawstring on the shorts that was realllllllly long and looked like an old shoestring. I took my cuticle scissors and cut the tiny little threads that held the tie on the shorts right off.
I LOVE THIS SET.
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve absolutely loved Mexican shirts and Mexican dresses. And I don’t know about you, but I would ROCK a Mexican dress with a great pair of jellies. Or maybe some nice white Keds. Please tell me I’m not the only one. #memories
Well, I found a great Mexican shirt on Amazon!
It’s very well made, the embroidery is beautiful, and I love that this one link has so many color combinations to choose from! It’s a crisp cotton with no stretch, so I definitely need a medium to accommodate my chest.
My exact shirt is B69-R, but this particular combo is now sold out in most sizes. The good news is that there are a handful of other red options as well as a myriad of other color combos that are available! Seriously, there are like 36 color options.
Mexican shirt / sunglasses / statement earrings / white denim shorts / cognac slide sandals (see below for details) / tote
The easiest way to shop this shirt is to go down to the SIZE drop down box (underneath all of the shirts in the boxes) and choose your desired size. I’m wearing a medium, and although it’s very roomy, I need a medium to have plenty of give in the chest area. So choose your desired size, and the colors that ARE available in your size will remain bright while the colors NOT available in your size will become faded.
Mexican shirt /white denim shorts
These white denim shorts are the white version of my favorite denim shorts. For size reference, I sized up 1 to a 28.

I thought the whole outfit was so fun and festive!

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND
We’ve got soccer Saturday morning, and we have plans with friends Saturday evening! It’s a low key weekend, and I’m pumped!
***********************
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
Y’all! I’m getting soooooooooo excited for my Victoria Emerson bracelet launch! As a reminder, I helped design 5 bracelets for spring and summer, and I’ll be sharing them all on May 20th. I love them, and I know y’all are going to love them as well. I’ve got 2 wrap bracelets and 3 cuff bracelets, and they are going to totally snazz up all of your spring and summer outfits. I CANNOT WAIT!
CHECK OUT THE BAGS! This is a pinch me moment for sure.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
Buddy is heavy breathing and snoring next to me. He is still exhausted from our ranch trip over the weekend, and the boy is sacked out.

WHAT I’M WATCHING
I love The Voice.
I reallllllllllllllllly loved Snoop Dogg on The Voice this week.
The End.

WHAT I’M WORKING ON
I’ve got a Mother’s Day gift collage that I’m posting on Friday, and I’m working on finishing that up!
I already sent the links to my friend Blake who does my collages, but I thought of a handful of other things that make great gifts (that didn’t make the collage).
*For just $22 , you could give her my favorite lip mask (I love both the berry and the vanilla). I’m completely devoted to this stuff and it would be a great gift for you mom. Click HERE for a great compilation of Mother’s Day items from Sephora.
*For just $12.95, any mom would love my favorite pave earrings (that you can get on Amazon). I’m not kidding when I say they look real! And the huggie design makes them easy to wear when talking on the phone and sleeping. THESE EARRINGS ARE AWESOME. Even if you don’t get them for your mom, get them for yourself RIGHT NOW!
*If you are wanting to spend a little more, I know my mom would love a little gift bag with several of her favorite Colleen Rothschild goodies. If you already use and love Colleen Rothschild, I think sharing the skincare products you love with your mom is such a sweet gesture. Maybe a bag with the cleansing balm and the glycolic acid peel pads? Or maybe the extreme recovery cream and the face oil? You seriously can’t go wrong. Use the code STMT20 for 20% OFF everything on the site that isn’t already on sale.
Oh, and I just saw that they actually have special Mother’s Day savings on a handful of products!
The body butter trio is part of the event (my mom is straight up OBSESSED with the body butters), and so is The Discovery Kit and the Quench and Shine Trial and Travel Essentials set (shown below). Th hair kit is only $39 right now, and it’s regularly $54! And it comes packaged so nicely! My mom absolutely swears that the hair care products have restored her hair, and this kit is a great way to introduce yourself (or your mom) to the hair care line. Personally, I don’t love the shampoo. BUT I LOVE ALL OF THE OTHER HAIR PRODUCTS. The Discovery Kit is a PERFECT introduction to many of the star skin care products in the line ($150 worth of products, regularly $95, but on sale right now for $69!), and it also comes packaged beautifully!

WHAT I’M WEARING
Do you remember the post a couple of weeks ago where I showed you flat lays of the outfits I’m going to be wearing in the bracelet post? I showed the flat lays because I was afraid everything would be sold out by the bracelet launch, and y’all loved the sneak peek, but many of you requested to see me in the items. (Hey, I get it, I like to see people in things too.)
So……since I am to please, I put on 4/5 outfits so you could see how the clothes look on. I didn’t do the 5th outfit because I couldn’t find one of the shirts. Maybe it’s at the dry cleaners? Maybe it’s in one of the clothing piles in my closet? Who knows, but I couldn’t find it.
Okay, here are the outfits:
This cherry cardigan doesn’t have great reviews online, but I happen to love it. I think it’s a really pretty red, I think the cherries are adorable, and I love the fit. If you have a really long torso it will be probably be too short for you, but I will never have that problem. I have a medium.
These straight leg cropped jeans are one of my favorite finds over the last month or so. They are a great way to kind of ease into a new and more modern cut of jeans. I wear my regular size 27. They have a bit of stretch in them and are quite comfy.
cherry cardigan / gold hoop earrings / rattan bag / straight leg cropped jeans / studded cross band sandals
Girls. This embroidered blouse is absolutely dreamy. The embroidery work, the colors, and the floral pattern are all gorgeous. And the sleeves! LOOK AT THE SLEEVES! They reach almost to my elbow (I really love the longer length) and they have gathered and ruffled details that are just so pretty. It’s got a boho vibe and I totally dig it. For the shoot, I wore my itty bitty boot cut jeans and loved how they looked together. I’ll also be wearing this top with denim shorts, white jeans, and regular denim. Also…just fyi…it looks like it’s realllllllly low cut, but it’s not! I can wear it without a cami and not show any cleavage.
embroidered blouse / must have earrings / itty itty boot cut jeans / neutral wedges / embroidered clutch with wooden handle
And let’s talk about the wooden handled clutch. Isn’t it great? It comes in a sunshine yellow and a bright white now too.
I knew I wanted a really special top to highlight the turquoise bracelet in the collection, and when I found this embroidered blouse online, I knew it was the one. I threw it in my cart immediately, I got it, I tried it on, I fell in love, and then I realized how much I paid for it. Oops! I had been buying lots of different pieces to prepare for the shoot, and it seems I wasn’t paying attention to the price tags. Well, once I tried it on, there was no going back. It’s the most expensive shirt I’ve ever purchased (and probably ever will), but gosh I love it. Click HERE to see me in it with white jeans. For size reference, I wear a medium because there’s not much give in the chest and I need the room.
embroidered blouse / must have earrings / denim shorts / cognac sandals / rattan bag
This outfit is made up of a lot of great basics…
But can we take a minute and talk about how adorable this bag is? BECAUSE IT’S ADORABLE. The bag and the shoes are statement makers…but the tee, jeans, and denim jacket are all great staples.
dusty pink tee / denim jacket / layered necklace / rainbow jute tote bag / white jeans / cactus suede sandals (size up a 1/2)
I’m crushing hard on this bag.

That’s all for today!
Now don’t forget to let us know what you’ve been up to. Link up here!
Erika Slaughter says
You found some extra cute tops today! And those clutches are darling!
Lizounette says
Would love a post on how you organize switching bags all the time!
Sheaffer says
Gosh, I wish I had a system. It’s a pain for sure, but I love bags, so it’s worth it to me! 🙂 xoxo
Cherie says
What size are you wearing in the floral embroidered top from Anthro? I must have it!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Cherie! Sorry I left that out! Isn’t it SO CUTE? I’m wearing a medium! xoxo
MindaC says
OMG, love the Mexican shirt! #getinmycart
I had the same issues as Shay and was about ready to give up on the Sunshine drops. I think the bottle makes it difficult to use restraint. I just bought the SuperGoop Unseen Sunscreen and I think the combo of the two is working for me pretty good if I’m gentle with the sun drops. This will probably be my summer “foundation” for weekends and even work once Zoom meetings slow down this summer.
Sheaffer says
Yes, you must exercise restraint Minda! That’s the key!!! xoxo
Ashley says
Carter and your dad….OMGosh! ❤️
Have you washed the Anthro top (that looks low cut) yet? I went to buy it but so many of the reviews say it shrinks up a ton. Wondering what your experience was.
As always, thanks for all your work here!!
Sheaffer says
Right? That picture melts me, Ashley!
And Oh shoot! I haven’t washed it yet. I guess I’ll be dry cleaning it. Thanks for the heads up, I hadn’t read those reviews. xoxo
Terry says
Ugh! That cute rainbow bag is no longer available!
Sheaffer says
Oh noooooo!!!! I’m so sorry, Terry! 🙁
Shay Shull says
Sheaffer, that combination of sunscreen and bronzer is GAME CHANGING! I am so happy you told me about it last week because I’ve been doing it every single day since!!!
Amy Land says
How do y’all apply it? Do you mix in hand and use fingers or a brush?? I bought both to try! Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Amy! I mix it in my palm and then apply it with my hands! A brush or beauty blender would work too! xoxo
Amy Land says
Thank you!
Shannon says
Hey, Sheaffer! I’ve never tried those sunshine drops before. Quick questions:
1) Can I still self tan and use them? (like self-tan my face overnight and use sunshine drops with my moisturizer in the morning for an even bronzer look)
2) Can they be mixed with lotion and used on legs?
Thanks so much! Love your blog 🙂
Shannon
Sheaffer says
Hey, Shannon! YES! I use Isle of Paradise to self tan my face every 3-4 days, and then I still use the sunshine drop/glow screen combo in the mornings. I’ve never thought about using it on your legs, but I guess that would work too! And thank you for the kind words! xoxo
Shannon says
Awesome!! Thank you so much!! 🙂
Erin Ruff says
Hi Sheaffer!
So I have been following you for years since your early days of PTMT. In fact, I am wearing the Kut From The Kloth Must Have Jean Jacket as I type this message. I actually own it in three color ways. ☺️ Thank you Scheaffer.
Anyway this morning (before I read this post) I had the very same thought you did about the Sunshine drops and the Glow Screen (since they are right next to each other in my drawer) but I continued on as usual blending the drops with my CT Magic Cream. So I giggled to myself as I read your post. Since I buy everything you say I need, I will most certainly try this combo out. All that to say, thanks for being an inspiration to this older mama and keeping her feeling pretty and dressed cute. ?
Sheaffer says
Yes, Erin! TRY IT! And please, report back in the comments here after you do!
And thanks so much for being such a loyal reader. I appreciate you!!!
xoxo
