Tomorrow I will be functioning as your Nordstrom Anniversary Sale tour guide! 🙂
I feel like there is nobody else better equipped for the job.
I know the sale merchandise like the back of my hand, and I’m pretty sure
I’ve tried on at least 1/2 of it!
I will of course be highlighting some of the previous finds that you’ve already seen, simply because I want what I think are some of THE BEST items to be accessible and all in one place for you!
Tomorrow’s post is all about making your shopping as easy as possible.
But, in addition to reviewing some of my favorite items, I also have some NEW ITEMS I tried on while at Northpark this week that you are NOT GOING TO WANT TO MISS.
Yep, I’ve got some really great items that I’ve been holding on to until the sale goes live.
I felt badly for all of the non card-holders because items kept selling out (fingers crossed the blardigan is going to get re-stocked), so I thought it would be fun to reserve some new favorites.

That was a bold statement Nick.
Because he wrote a story.
A FAIRY TALE if you will.
The tale was of a beautiful princess named Andi.
And listen, I don’t care if he wrote it…or if he just agreed to “act like” he wrote it….
neither option is a good one.
Because NOT FAIRY TALE APPROPRIATE.
Speaking of the fantasy suite, Nick says he is so excited to “talk her ear off all night”.
Yeah, right Nick.
Nick professes his love.

They experience the culture, and then OUT OF THE BLUE, there’s a local band complete with dancing people that just happens to be partying in the middle of the street.

3rd Date: Farmer
And and Farmer hop on horses, and Andi looks just about as uncomfortable on a horse as I would.
Which is a lot.
And if the way their date looks (rough terrain, ugly animals) is any indication of how the date is going to end, things do not look good for Farmer Chris.
A sunset beach this is NOT.
They get off the horses, sit down for a glass of wine, and just hang out a bit.
And then they play another rousing game of Ghost in the Graveyard.
Followed up by a round of Ring Around The Rosy.
Just kidding.

They really did play Ghost in the Graveyard again.

They hop on this huge sofa/bed thingy that I now want, and Andi tells Farmer how impressed she was by his family, and he is eating it up.
It’s right about here that I start to get VERY nervous for him.
Because as much as I love Farmer, it’s super obvious that Andi doesn’t.
And then…within a matter of seconds…it all goes to hell in a handbasket.
Pardon the language.
Andi starts bawling and telling Farmer that she’s not feeling it.
And when doing so, her voice climbs several octaves until I’m quite sure dogs all over the Dominican Republic are howling.
And this should come as no surprise, but Farmer is a complete gentleman.
She ends by saying that “her head and her heart just don’t match up”.
Farmer’s bottom lip quivers and he says “I should probably go”.
What a sweet little Farmer.
They still have a rose ceremony, although I have no idea why.
I guess they just needed to get this shot of Andi awkwardly holding roses.

I'm not dedicated enough to set my alarm for the middle of the night., but I will set the alarm for 5:00 a.m. to have plenty of time to shop before the rest of the family wakes up. I have my Pinterest Told Me To list going (leggings, must have shirt, short sleeve shirts with the layers, BP booties, and Kendra Scott necklace if it gets restocked), but I will check back for your new finds. I feel like I'm about to panic since the sale is going live for everyone tomorrow! I've been looking for the perfect pair of boots and just can't make a decision. Hey April! The Frye Molly boot is GORGEOUS. I think it's the perfect boot, especially for skinny calves because it's super fitted up top. Remember if you get this one, it's kind of hard to get your foot in, but once you do, SO COMFY!

April – if you can, I recommend trying the Molly's on in the store. I was all set to buy them and then when I tried them on, my normal size 8 was too big and I couldn't he my foot in the 7 1/2. I was so sad!

Thanks much for your NAS posts! So helpful – for my closet, not my wallet. 🙂 I have a question about the perfect shirt – do you hand wash, line dry, as the instructions recommend? I don't hand wash anything. I use my washer's gentle cycle. And clothes come out pretty wrinkled, so it could be a big ironing chore if I line dry.

Hi Renae. Most often I have my MUST HAVE Shirt dry cleaned. But I'm usually able to get 2 wears out of it before I do so. I just throw it in the dryer on low to "spruce it up" before wearing it again. I have washed it at home when I need it for something. When I do, I just wash it on regular and then pop it in the dryer for like 10 minutes. Then I take it out, hang it, and gently tug on it to pull the wrinkles out. It's actually super easy!!! Hope this helps!

I think I am about an inch taller than you – 5'4 and 3/4" – would the Regular Small (versus Petite Small) be too big? Just wondering – I hadn't seen you reference petite sizes in your recent posts (I am a new reader).

I often wear petites in dresses because I have a short torso and I actually like my dresses to be pretty short! They were actually out of the regular sizes in the store, so I couldn't compare To be honest, at your height, I think you will be fine with either petite or regular. THE DRESS IS HOT!!!!!! 🙂

RE Nike Free: Definitely a half size up. I definitely needed to. The length was the issue that I needed to go up for. Without that added half size my toes were right at the end. I got the Neon Yellow and the "Ultra cobalt" which looks like tie-dye bright blue. I've never worn Nike Free before now and I am glad I tried them on and figured out why everyone said size up.
I am pretty well stocked up on my shopping since I am a cardholder and got up at 1am last week…I have two items being run for me tonight that were pulled, otherwise I am hopefully done. I am going to start returning my bad sizes and no's tomorrow.

Anyone that says money can’t buy you happiness clearly didn’t get their Nordstrom’s shipment in the mail yesterday!
Loved so much of what I ordered! Couple of my favorites were:
Caslon® Rumpled Leather Moto Jacket 913677- Loved it! I felt like the one you highlighted was a little to “edgy” for me to pull off at work and this seems to be the perfect alternative. Patagonia Windproof & Water Resistant Down Sweater Vest (Baby Girls)- This is too cute for words! If you have a baby girl you just need to order it!
One thing I wasn’t thrilled about was the Tory Burch Smartphone Wristlet 429120. The wallet itself was nice but I was really disappointed in the packaging. I planned on giving it as a gift and Tory Burch items typically come in beautiful boxes. This came in a plastic bag like a cheap knock-off. Loved the Blardigan as much as you said I would! Ordered in the marine/pewter and really happy with the color.
Overall it was a great afternoon (that felt like Christmas morning!) Thanks so much for all you do!

I bought that Dooney & Bourke purse in brown instead of red for the Fall! LOVE it–and such a great deal! The suede-like material is sooo soft. As cardholders my hubby and I shopped together last Friday the 12th and got some wonderful deals. Yes, my husband loves to shop with me! I guess that's not typical, but I enjoy him giving me feedback, and vice versa. Definitely prevents me from having to return things that I'm just not sure about. Did you happen to see the 'waterfall' black leather jacket?! That was another of my very favorite purchases!

So sad for farmer Chris but I think this exposure will bring plenty of girls his way that would be very happy to live the farm life with him! I have made SO many purchases during this sale (I'm a 1st time anniversary sale gal) and some arrived yesterday. So much fun seeing all FIVE boxes on my doorstep! haha. No worries, some will be headed back to make way for all the other goodies that should be landing in the next few days. Keeping 3 blardigans (Christmas) the K.S. elle earrings, new sneaks for the kids for back to school, the fringe scarf (thinking Christmas present for someone), a Lush top that I think will look good with leggings, new bra, Zella live-in capri leggings for working out. Writing it all down it seems crazy that I have more coming and that I have more going back, yikes, what are you doing to me??? THANKS!

The first jacket that you note is sold out…is it possible that it's the BCBGeneration Two-Tone Tweed Moto Jacket rather than Halogen? The BCBG one looks very similar to what you're wearing in the pic. I never even noticed it until I saw your photo…and I've been through these sale items AT LEAST a million times. Anyway, if the one you're wearing really is the BCBG one (that is still available in all sizes!), I'll be making it mine ASAP!

Oh, Sheaffer, I just received my Frye's booties and I cannot say how much I love them. They are gorgeous. Thanks for the Frye's recommendation. I wish it wasn't a million degrees out so i could put these babies on and kick my toes through some fallen leaves!

Thanks for all your Nordstrom tips, suggestions, and deals. I am loving it. My birthday was last week and I made a wish list for my mom and husband and got some awesome stuff. I also really wanted the booties that you featured last week. We're in the process of buying a new house and technically on a spending hiatus. I told my husband I would buy them now on sale but they would be a Christmas present. They arrived today and I tried them on. They are so cute and really comfortable. It was painful to put them back in the box. Thankfully it's too hot to wear them now. Hopefully by the time it cools off enough to wear them it will be closer to Christmas and I can continue to be patient…
