I however have only ever worn cheap sunglasses all my life.
When Nordstrom asked me to do a post about Ray-bans, I jumped at the chance!
Find their entire selection for women HERE.

I’ve wanted a nice pair for sooooooo long, but I’ve never splurged.
Well, I’m thirty freaking two years old (WHAT? I’m totally 32.), and I finally splurged on some shades! It took this post to let me allow myself to go there, but now that I have, I’m so glad I did.
I know I’m a grown woman and I shouldn’t feel this way,
but I’m at least 60% cooler now than I was last week when I didn’t have them.
my new Ray-bans
Here’s what I love most about them…besides the fact they look cool…..they are SO light.
Lots of sunglasses out there give me a headache if I wear them more than 20 minutes or so, but not these! These are light as air and don’t squeeze my melon! I love them!
And my new tee is super soft and ONLY $24! It drapes very nicely, and after wearing it twice already, I’m definitely getting it in a 2nd color.
high-low tee / black and white graphic tote / similar jeans / similar belt / earrings / necklace out of stock
wedges / watch / cross bracelet
Level with me.
I mean, really. Is it just me, or do the shades actually make me cooler?
No need to answer, I’m pretty confident I look cooler. 🙂
And how cute is my tote?!?
I love the black and white graphic print, and it’s a total steal at $54.95!
I think it totally makes my outfit!
And MY WEDGES ARE STILL ON SALE!
I’ve received many questions about the comfort level of these wedges, and I PROMISE that they are comfy. I wouldn’t wear them if they weren’t. Yes, I am hardcore about my comfort! 🙂
Need I remind you about my other pair of Michael Kors wedges that I returned AFTER wearing them in downtown Dallas? Yep, I don’t mess around with comfort.
My favorite part (besides the comfort) is the small brown wooden like accent that runs the course of the wedge. I love how it’s unexpected, and it makes these wedges so versatile as to what you can pair with them!

But pay no attention to the shirt below…the exact shirt I’m wearing is now available
online right HERE!
So, since I’m doing a Ray-bans post, I wanted to show you more of a selection than the 1 pair I ended up with. So again, you can click HERE for the entire women’s selection.
I took pictures at Nordstrom in the sunglasses section to show you some different styles and frames. There is SO MUCH LIGHTING, which is great when your shopping….except when you are trying to take pictures for a blog. I know the pictures are totally blown out with the harsh lighting, but you will still get the general idea.
The guy behind the counter convinced me to try THESE (they are the ones the model has on above). I was very unsure about the pink lenses, but they were actually a lot of fun!
Plus…look how they fold up! Now that’s cool! And I also really liked this shape on my face.
50 mm FOLDING Wayferers HERE
THESE pink Wayarers (same as directly above) are a Nordstrom exclusive.
High Street 54 mm HERE
These are another classic Ray-bans style, and I liked them too. I thought maybe they were a little long (horizontally) for my face, but what do I know?!?
Highstreet 57mm sunglasses HERE
THESE (same as above) are a Nordstrom exclusive too!
The simple and classic aviator was what made the most sense for me and my splurge.
I wanted timeless, and I think I got it!
Here are the styles I tried on, plus a couple of other options just for fun!
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this Ray-Bans portion of this post!
I also wanted to highlight some fun items today that would be great for the 4th!
Lots of red, white, and blue!

One more thing before you go!
I grabbed a sharpie and started circling and drawing hearts around items like I was in middle school. What can I say? The catalog got my endorphins going.
BLARDIGANS FOR EVERYBODY!
Seriously, if you’re smart (and I know you are), you’ll buy these for all the ladies on your Christmas list (if you didn’t already last year). Heck, maybe even if you did! These new striped babies are awesome!
On Monday I’m going to have a comprehensive calendar that will outline for you how I will be covering the sale over here on PTMT.
I’m telling you, I’m your Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Tour Guide, and I take this job VERY seriously.
And as your tour guide, I’d like to take this time to remind you that if you haven’t yet signed up for a Nordstrom credit or debit card, you should consider doing so.
EARLY ACCESS IS UH-MAZING.
(With the card you can shop an entire full week before the sale is open to the public. This is important because many of the super popular items sell out before Early Access is over.)
Okay, tour guide duties accomplished for the day!
I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend!
Go see me over at Erika’s…..
Click HERE to see the many reasons I’m certifiable.
Hopefully you’ll still like me afterwards.
