THE PERFECT SPRING AND SUMMER SWEATER

I love a good spring sweater that’s great for cool spring days and cool summer nights.

I have 2 great spring sweaters that I got from LOFT probably like 8 years ago now, and I still wear them and still love them.

I was so happy to find this new option from Nordstrom this year! This striped open stitch sweater is a super soft cotton with dropped shoulders and a slouchy fit. I’m telling you, it’s spring sweater perfection. It’s got a bit of an open weave, but I don’t feel like I have to wear a cami or tank under it (the weave isn’t THAT open). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

BABYDOLL TOP

This babydoll top looks like Anthropologie, but it’s not!

It’s DARLING and UNDER $30, y’all.

This is the navy blue, but there are so many colors that I love. In fact, this is one of those pieces that I can see lots of people buying in 2 colors.

It’s 100% cotton and the contrasting piping really makes the top. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

The patch pocket denim shorts are from Wit and Wisdom, our favorite denim brand. They are stretchy, have tummy control, and I love the oversized patch pockets. For size reference, I’m wearing a 4.

Y’all know I wear these other denim shorts from Aerie allllllllllllll the time, but this patch pocket pair below is a great option for denim shorts with a bit of a longer length and no distressing.

And here’s the same top with these newly released girlfriend jeans, also from Wit and Wisdom. Now the site says they are high rise, but I totally disagree. In fact, these are much lower than any other jeans I’ve worn in the last couple of years. The waist hits about an inch below my belly button. Also, although they are from Wit and Wisdom, they don’t have nearly as much stretch as I’m used to from the brand. I’m wearing a 4, and I do think they are a bit too tight on my waist (because of the lack of stretch). If your belly isn’t your problem area, get your regular size in Wit and Wisdom. If your belly is your problem area, I would suggest sizing up.

Smooth and Shine Hair Serum / Quench and Shine Restorative Mask / Replenish and Shine Daily Conditioner

It doesn’t weigh my hair down, but it still manages to be incredibly moisturizing.

Next up, the hair mask!

HOWEVER, I fell in love with conditioner too, and now I use the mask more as an intensive hair treatment. My goal is to use it once a week, but the truth is, I now use it every single time I have some extra time to spend in the shower. Instead of using just a tiny bit like I used to, I now use a good amount, massage it all over my head, and I like to leave it in for a bit to get the full benefit. I like to leave it in for a minimum of 5 minutes, but a couple of times I’ve even been known to get out of the shower and vacuum the house or something with it in before rinsing it out.

If you have hair that gets really tangled, you HAVE to get this mask. You can apply a little extra to the tangled area, and the tangles will kind of melt away. I can’t explain it, but it’s magic.

Quench & Shine Restorative Mask

My mom loves the mask too. She absolutely SWEARS by this product and the serum that we’re going to talk about in just a minute.

Here’s my mom’s story with the hair products….

A couple of years ago she started noticing that her hair was “getting old” – her words, not mine. 😉

My mom has always had great hair, but she said it had all of a sudden started to become dry and brittle.

WELL. She swears that the mask and the serum completely revitalized her hair.

THIS DRESS

I talked about this dress last week, and I cannot believe that it is still available (in most sizes). There’s under 10 left in Small, Medium, and Large – so grab it if you want it!  I’m talking about it again because I’ve already worn it a couple of times, and I love it even more than I did originally. And I can’t even count the compliments I received on it.

The Tamara dress is so incredibly charming. The neutral and green floral pattern is so fresh, and all of the little details make this dress feel special.
