SHOPPING WITH SHEAFFER AND SHAY!

So…it’s time girls!
One of my favorite posts every month!  It’s DEFINITELY the most fun to prepare for!

You can find Shay’s post HERE.  She highlighted lots of awesome stuff from GAP
that is great for spring.
True to form, I stuck with Nordstrom, with a little LOFT (I ended up highlighting it earlier because of the sale) and Anthropologie thrown in for good measure.

I have to say, we had SO MUCH FUN on this particular day.  More than usual even!

rooms.

Well, we were a little shy to go get
one of the sales ladies given our outfits, so we both immediately decided
to crawl under our doors.

But then I stopped, grabbed my phone, and was able to snap this shot of Shay in action.

  btw, true story. Got a mani/pedi yesterday. The nail ladies fell all
over my cognac wedge boots. I mean, went crazy. They had me find it on
the website, take a picture and text them the link so they could buy
them that minute. One of the ladies even tried mine on since we were the
same size. Strange experience but best.boots.ever.

Ok, back to trying things on.  I liked this cardi from Free People (whose items I either ADORE or DESPISE).  There’s apparently no “Ah.  It’s okay.” with Free People.  You either LOVE an item or HATE an item.
Free People has some crazy stuff.
But this? This I liked.

It is one of Anthro’s “Freshly Cut” sale items and I’m imagining it’s going to fly off the shelf.
I’m currently trying to talk myself out of ordering it, but I just know if I don’t it’s going to be one of those things that I think about 3 years from now.  Like I’ll be in my closet struggling for something to wear, and then I’ll be all “DANGIT!  If I only had that camo jacket from Anthropologie that was the perfect distressed color (a very muted camo), the perfect length, the perfect weight, and had the hidden drawstring to define the waist!”  And then I’ll shake my fist in the air and pause for effect.
I’ll wrap it up by saying, ” How in the word did I let that perfect jacket THAT WAS ON SALE pass me by? WHY?  WHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY?”
I didn’t see this in store so I haven’t tried it on, but it has 8/8 near perfect reviews.
That’s enough to convince me.

Here’s just one review:
I never expected to love this jacket as much as I do. I was on the search for the perfect olive green utility jacket (to fill the hole in my heart where my unfortunately cheap and oversized Old Navy Jacket used to live) when I spotted her. The camo really is very muted, and I love the hidden drawstring waist.. it adds a feminine touch to an otherwise masculine piece. I tried it on and was immediately sold by the fit.
I wear this little lady constantly with light colored tunics, my COH rockets, ankle boots and vintage bracelets. She goes with just about everything, and is one of the favorite & most worn members of my closet.
