And you should see the back.  It’s a grey sweater material and it’s fabulous.
The neck has a faux fur lining, and it has a removable hood.
Complete and Total Awesomeness.
AND it comes in black too (and I’m loving the black)!

I know that before I received this jacket I wondered what exactly I was going to wear with it.
However, after turning to Pinterest (once again, gotta thank my girl Pinterest), I realized I had sooooo many options already in my closet!
I dare you to tell me you don’t already have things in your closet to wear with it.  I mean, just look!

(And don’t worry about how the pockets are flapping up in some of these pics.  I created all of these looks within like 1 hour one day.  I took the vest on and off and on and off, and I just wasn’t paying attention to the pockets.  When I wore it all day to work I didn’t have any trouble with the pockets. They laid very nicely all day long both when zipped and unzipped.)
Yeah. You want it.

And here’s one more look with the vest.
I had been at the ranch for 3 days, and I had slept in this exact outfit (minus the puffer) and my kid had been puking for like 18 hours.  This came in the mail, and I put it on over the clothes I had had on for like 36 hours while cleaning up puke.
And I have to say, it even made my puke clean up outfit look cute.
Now THAT is an endorsement if I’ve ever heard one.

Good for a night out on the town, good for pajamas, good for sick duty with your little one.
These are ALL PURPOSE pants people.

I love how Olivia had it styled with the distressed skinny jeans and the sneakers.

As you can see, my sweater does not fit nearly as loosely as Olivia’s.
But I don’t mind the fitted look.
(Also, on Olivia, it almost looks more like a sweatshirt, but it is definitely sweater material.)

After I posted this sweater the first time (with Olivia wearing it) I had several of you ask if this could be worn with leggings.  The answer is no.  Even if the front is long enough on you, the back
wouldn’t be.  The flannel only peaks out on the sides and in the front, so your hiney would be exposed in leggings.
But with jeans?  With jeans, it’s PERFECTION!
And with my converse?  DIVINE!

Okay, time for our next look.

What about a faux fur vest?
Um, yes please!
When I ordered it, I had it in my head that I would just wear it with my silky black tee (second look from the left).  I never dreamed of  how many ways I could style it!
Look at all of these looks I created with the same jeans, the same boots, the same vest, and just a different shirt or sweater!
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in these pics, but it felt quite snug.
I needed a large.
Shay tried it on and the medium was good for her!
This vest definitely runs small.

I’m telling you, you have stuff in your closet that would look good with this vest!

    The Goodnight Macaroon's stuff is all very cute. But according to you it runs small, and they only go up to Large. No way any of this will fit me. I hope you stick with mostly Nordstrom like in the past!!! (only giving my negative opinion because you asked for opinions!!!     Since you wanted honest opinions, I would never be able to wear their clothes because of the sizing AND they are way too expensive….$75 for a "sweatshirt" and $100 for a vest! Glad you have that kind of money to waste, but I prefer to eat and pay rent!

    hi there! new follower here! and first off … love the fashion blog esp the fact i see the clothes on u first makes me want to buy a lot of things … hahah quick question on the gray sweater with the red plaid … the material looks a bit diff than in goodnight macaroons website and also on olivia … is the sweater more brownish or gray? and it looks thicker on olivia as opposed to the one u received … i recently made this purchase as soon as i saw it on ur instagram pg! so im hopimg the quality is as niceas it is in the pics!

    Also, I finally bit the bullet and picked up the "Blardigan" in cocoa from my local Nordstrom. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it, but I came home and put it on with my pjs. Just like your reader above about three hours later my middle child was hit with either food poisoning or the stomach flu…my husband and I called the next 15 hours Vomigeddon. Anyway, thought you would appreciate that I literally did not take the "Blardigan" off for two days. It kept me warm during the night when I was up with him, I could fall asleep in it when he fell asleep and feel soft and cozy, and then run to the store in leggings and Uggs the next morning to pick up Gatorade and saltine crackers and look like I was dressed! I couldn't believe I ever doubted. And like you promised it cleaned up wonderfully. Thank you Sheaffer…you made Vomigeddon 2014 much more fashionable and comfortable.

    I ordered 2 Goodnight Macaroon sweaters after you first featured them. It took a LONG time for them to arrive, 3 weeks + 2 days. The quality was great and they were super, super cute…but tiny! Seriously, so small. I am typically a medium at any store for tops or sweaters and I ordered larges just to be safe. They are so, so small. My boyfriend said they looked like kids clothes. The sleeves especially were really short. I will be returning them ASAP and thank you so much, Sheaffer, for whatever magic you worked on their return policy. I would highly advise only petite women to order from GM because while super cute, their stuff is made for the tiny!

    Seriously, I can't stop purchasing your recommendations! So far I have been super pleased with all of my purchases (HUE leggings, several tunics, scarves)…and now a puffer vest on the way!!!!
    I either have to stop following your blog or get a second job! (KIDDING)

    Just bought the vest and the sweater (with the shirt peeking under). I wish I would have looked at the sale items before pressing "complete." I would have stocked up on some $1 shirts, shorts, jewelry, dresses. Now that I already completed my order, I dont want to have to complete a 2nd order and then have to end up paying shipping (since my 2nd order wont be over $100). Darn!

    I bought the Toms wedges you suggested last month, too. My husband really hates that I started following your blog.

    I just wanted to report that I did NOT have a good experience when ordering from Goodnight Macaroon. Their clothes are cheaply made knock-offs from China and while the prices seem super reasonable for how beautiful the clothes look on all these lovely fashion blogs, they are WAY overpriced for the quality. I’m sure there are some gems to be found but in my experience it is much too risky when you would have to pay to ship the purchases back to Hong Kong if they don’t fit or don’t meet expectations of quality. You do not get your original shipping costs reimbursed (in my case, express shipping was $25 and my ill-fitting, unlined, polyester dress arrived the day AFTER the wedding I needed it for). In addition, they have only email as a means to contact them. My first concerned email to them went completely ignored. They did eventually reply to my second email but the customer service cannot be counted on. In my opinion, buyer beware!
