This week really kicked my hiney. Some weeks just do that, you know?
So, I want to apologize if you sent in an e-mail or comment this week that didn’t get answered. I got behind, and then I got overwhelmed, and then I just decided I would do better next week. 🙂
I’m looking forward to a little downtime with my people this weekend (with no real plans in sight), and I couldn’t be more excited!
(I do have some time ear marked for finishing up my Monday post that I’m super excited about!)
Before we get to Shopping with Sheaffer and Shay today,
I’ve got some housekeeping things to take care of.
You know I listed my picks for the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale on Wednesday HERE.
Well, I’m not sure how in the world I missed THIS watch.
It’s 40% off, and it’s FABULOUS.
I would LOVE to find this under my tree and I know a lot of you girls would to!
If you would like to find it under your tree (especially for 40% off), just send this page to whomever you need to with the subject line: “I thought Santa might want to know I LOVE this watch.”
That should be clear enough. 🙂
I don’t know how many are stocked, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was gone before noon.
At 40% off this is a TOTAL steal, and at this time of year people are buying things like crazy!
So, if you want it, you better move fast!
Or maybe you would like to give an MK watch to your hubby or boyfriend?
Click HERE to get a great quality MEN’S MK watch for 40% off!
Nobody has to know it was 40% off! 😉
There are also great FOSSIL items on sale, including the Riley (HERE) which is their white ceramic watch that looks very much like my ceramic MK version that was quite a bit more expensive.
And look HERE for Fossil’s charm bracelet and a large selection of charms that are all 40% off!
I also got some e-mails from readers that I thought you might be interested in:
This next e-mail is about the MUST HAVE HUE leggings found HERE.
I got the espresso leggings and the small is too big. I usually wear a 2-4 so I went with small, but they gather way too much in the butt and knees. Please spread the word! 5’3 and 117 = xsmall 🙂
Speaking of the leggings, I got lots of requests this week to find more tops for leggings after so many of you ladies decided to jump on the MUST HAVE leggings train. That will be a future post for sure.
But, in the meantime, I found THIS tunic in black, white, or blue.
Sadly, it’s only in plus size, because I want one for myself!
It looks so flattering, so comfy, and totally polished!
I received 6 e-mails between yesterday and today about the Hanky Panky panties I talked about on Wednesday. I have been e-mailed about these panties for awhile now, but when I got 6 MORE e-mails after mentioning them on Wednesday, I knew I finally had to break down and try these panties out for myself.
E-mails about panties follow:
I’ve listened to you for about 6 months now. So please, I beg of you, listen to me now.
Buy the Hanky Panky panties. I never knew that it was possible to love underwear, but I now know that it is. I actually LOVE these panties. Ha! Once you get them you will understand.
followed your blog for several months now and have purchased several
items you’ve recommended. Your recommendations have never led me
PLEASE trust and follow your readers’ advice
and invest in some Hanky Panky underwear while it’s on sale. I promise
you will love it . . . and your husband will, too!
I must now resume shopping Nordstrom online. :o)
In case you are interested in ordering some of these panties for yourself, click HERE.
One more thing before we get started. LOFT is having yet another FLASH SALE!
It only lasts until 10:00 a.m EST today (Friday!).
$50 off of your $100 full price purchase!
$60 off if you are a cardholder!
They have LOTS of new stuff out!
Okay…. enough “housekeeping”….
I want to kick off my weekend with Shopping with Sheaffer and Shay!
Remember to check out Shay’s post HERE. She went to GAP and CLEANED HOUSE.
True to form, I’m sticking to Nordstrom today.
But don’t worry, I cleaned house too.
Shay and I always have fun shopping together, and this night was no different.
Except that Shay bought a fur hooded vest and I almost had a heat stroke in my new scarf (and Shay kept joking that I was maybe going through the change.) She thinks she is so funny. 😉
This was by far my favorite picture of the bunch.
If you follow me on instagram HERE, then you’ve already seen it. But it’s worth showing again. 🙂
My game plan was to start at Nordstrom, head to LOFT, and then end the evening at GAP.
They are my 3 GO TO stores for sure.
Well, I spent 2 1/2 hours in Nordstrom and I never made it LOFT or GAP.
But that works out well for you ladies because of the free shipping at Nordstrom!
I’ve heard from a lot of you recently telling me you had NEVER shopped at Nordstrom before reading the blog, but that now you do all the time because of their AMAZING customer service (even with online orders) and their free shipping and free returns.
Nordstrom seriously wrote the book on customer service.
Anyway, I digress….
My first BIG find of the day I actually shared with you on Monday.
Yep, it’s the Blardigan found HERE.
Look at Shay nuzzling it in the mall food court.
If you missed it earlier, you have to click HERE to read all about it.
Seriously, click HERE to read about this FABULOUS item if you missed it earlier.
If you don’t need it (please note I think you’re crazy), but some lucky lady on your Christmas list probably does!
While in the pajama department, I saw this pajama set and had to try them on.
I think pajamas are such a FUN (but practical) gift to give, and these are so comfy!
I had seen them online and read the awesome reviews, so it was time to give them a shot,
and I loved them.
They are totally whimsical and seriously comfy so I thought they warranted a SANTA ALERT!
(Click HERE for all other Santa Alerts! These pajamas are #5…..#1-#4 are all awesome!)
plus size PJ Salvage pajamas HERE
The reviews for PJ Salvage are wonderful.
I am wearing an x-small and they were perfect for me.
The small top was very wide and a little too boxy for my liking.
I’m 5’4″ and a size 4, so I usually take a small, so I guess you can say I sized down.
I obviously have on the mustache set, but I also love the pink polka dots, the birds, and the lips!
If you don’t like the choices from PJ Salvage, then I’m sure you can find a pattern you can like from Munki Munki HERE.
I really liked this Caslon military jacket HERE (that comes in both army green and black).
Keep in mind that due to the material, it’s really more of an outside jacket than one you would wear all day. But, if you’re looking for real outerwear, this is a great choice!
*** THIS NEXT SHIRT WAS MY FAVORITE FIND OF THE DAY. ***
Once again, if I would have just seen this on the website, I would never have ordered it. It just looks kind of blah and just hangs on the model. However, when I put it on, I LOVED IT.
I thought it was very flattering and just had this casual (yet totally cool) look about it.
Do you guys LOVE it as much as I do?!?
Because I really REALLY love it!!!!
(I am wearing my MUST HAVE jeans, my cognac wedge boots and my Stella and Dot Sanibel pendant with it.)
Do you remember when I talked about these cords several weeks ago?
I hadn’t tried them on when I talked about them before, I was just going off of reader e-mails I had received. They all loved them so much that I suspected I would love them too, and MAN WAS I RIGHT. These cords are AMAZING.
Soooo soft….Sooooo stretch….Sooooo flattering.
And just like the graphic says, they are definitely skinny enough to tuck into tall boots (like I did in the above picture) but they would also be great worn straight or cuffed with flats, heels, or wedges!
They come in like 76 colors (some people say I tend to exagerate), and you need them in your life!
Click HERE for the Kut from the Kloth cords!
light pink infinity scarf HERE
(I bought this immediately and wore it out of the store.)
black bag HERE
Isn’t the bag fabulous? I love the structure and size of it, and the inside lining is white with black polka dots! SO cute!
I also found 2 pictures on my phone from a previous shopping trip that somehow never made it to the blog.
You guys are going crazy over the nice sweatshirts out there right now,
and I found another one I loved.
a pretty pale pink color, it’s higher in the front than in the back,
and it has a really pretty bow and pleat detail on the back.
Click HERE for this fancy sweatshirt!
for dangling the DARLING bag in front of you. It’s awesome, but it’s
not available online yet. Fingers crossed it will be soon. It’s the
“Cesca” brand, and it was under $50!)
I spotted this black and white striped number across the store, and I ran to it.
I didn’t run.
I walked very briskly because it was just hanging by itself and WHAT IF
somebody got over to try it on before I did. (I wish I was making this
up. But I’m not. Welcome to my brain.)
I loved it.
See how it’s longer in the back?
And as you can see, I think this would be a perfect “WORK IT” addition to your casual and
business casual wardrobe!
Last item for today.
I featured this Free People tunic a couple of weeks ago.
HOWEVER, now that so many of us have the HUE leggings, I thought it was worth showing again.
Click HERE for the tunic below (it comes in a red colorway too!).
This top is very sheer, so you would definitely have to wear a tank under it.
The design is awesome, and I love the stripes down the side.
Throw on a black tank underneath, your black HUE ultra wide waistband leggings, and some cognac boots (my cognac wedges HERE or the popular Penny boots HERE)…
AND YOU ARE ALL SET!
and the round toe version HERE).
And whatever you do, don’t forget about the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale.
Remember to use their options to narrow down your search to make sifting
through all of the items easier! (I always narrow by price, shoe size, etc.)
Click HERE if you want to see my personal picks from earlier in the week.
That’s all for today girls!
