and who doesn’t want to be effortlessly romantic?
That’s what I thought.
I bought a top a couple of years ago at LOFT, it’s made up of layered ruffles, and I absolutely love it.
Here it is paired it with my MUST HAVE jeans.
(I LOVE these! Mine just came in the mail and they are perfection!
However, the “clean” pair seems to run a bit smaller than the distressed
pair. For size reference, I’m normally a “27”, but I ordered a “28” in
these.)

MUST HAVE wedges HERE
(These do not come in 1/2 sizes. The reviews say to order a 1/2 size up, and I agree.)
Jewelry:
Stella and Dot Soar Necklace HERE
Gold Hoops| similar HERE
And then I got CRAZY, and I paired it with my camo pants.
exact GAP camo pants HERE
(I also found a pair of camo leggings from Nordstrom that are super affordable HERE.)
Besides the pants, the only thing different in this outfit (from the previous outfit) is the shoes.
Suede wedges| BCBG, similar HERE
(These are kind of like a Mary Jane wedge, and they are precious!)
I’ll be honest.
I wasn’t brave enough to leave the house with the camo/ruffle combination.
But I thought about it.
And I wouldn’t even have thought about it at this time last year.
So I’m saying that’s progress.
several great options if you want to add a little romance
to your closet!

When I decided to highlight “romantic” tops, I knew I would be showcasing things

1) lace tiered ruffle HERE (40% off!) / 2) lace inset sweatshirt top HERE
3) black or pink pin drop romantic ruffle tunic HERE / 4) long ruffle tee HERE
5) Free people sleeveless lace tunic HERE
And probably my favorite find:

Other romantic looks:
Lace inset sleeveless shirt HERE. It’s from the Junior’s department and only $34!

Michael Kors peasant plus size HERE
Lace front cardigan HERE.
You guys know I love a cardigan.
Just like in the picture, I think this would look fantastic with distressed jeans!

Nordstrom just added some new markdowns in the shoe/boot department!
These are the final markdowns, and some things are 50% off!

I'm not a ruffles person…until I saw this top paired with the camo pants and now all of a sudden, I'm totally a ruffles person! You made ruffles look "cool" and not "sweet". I loved this combo!

LOVE girly mixed with camo! That delicate necklace adds a little romance into the mix too.

I have been looking at that FP shirt for a few days. Sooo cute! Wish they had it in stock in our store so I could be sure on size, but I think I'm going to pull the trigger and order on the 18th when triple points start!

I agree!!! The ruffles with the camo…too cute! Love the combo! I love seeing more options for my camo pants. Can you believe I actually thought when I bought them "what am I going to wear these with?". Duh! Everything!! Thanks for the shout out!!

The ruffles shirt looks pretty cool with the camo pants and of course the must have jeans! I tried on the camo pants at JC Penny(don't laugh-the closest Nordstrom is 2 hrs away) and they were pretty good. Only $24.99!
Have a great day!!!

SO glad they restocked the camo pants online! They are in my shopping cart now! 🙂 Plus 30% off–yes!

I love both of these looks, and would have never put ruffles together with camo pants until seeing you wear them. I think they look great together. I did strike out and purchase the camo pants as my first ever camo purchase. I've worn them once with a solid color top. I'm not quite as adventurous with playing with mixed patterns and textures quite yet!
I love ruffles and wish I could pull them off, but I tend to stay away from them because I am large chested, if you know what I mean, and I feel that layers and ruffles just add too much bulk on top! I might try one of the tops you suggested that only has a few layers or ruffles and not the entire top covered in them. Thanks for keeping me laughing and fashionable every day!

Love the ruffle shirt with the camo pants….super cute look! Also, LOVE the lace tank and the lace cardigan at the end of this post….those are way too cute and I may have to check them out a little further!

I like this ruffled shirt. Ruffles kind of seem so frou frou to me for some reason, but I LOVE this one! Very cute with the camo pants.

Okay, I really, really love the ruffle and camo combo! Seriously too cute. You should leave the house in it next time.
By the way, I felt like I was super fly the other day when I wore a black and white polka dot shirt with leopard flats. I was nervous but ended up really loving it. Leopard is indeed a neutral! =)

I just started riding an exercise bike – and I remember that you do that for your summer workout! Could you share what you do? How many minutes? What kind of workout? You have killer legs – and I would love all the tips you have!
Thanks!

You can totally pull off that look {meaning the ruffle top and camo pants}!! Me…..not so much! I don't mind a little ruffle, but not really the lace type – but maybe if I read here long enough I will be! 🙂

I'm going to be totally honest. I wish I could get into the camo trend, but I can't. Probably because where I'm from, people wear it to actually hunt in. It's just not my thing. However, if I did like camo, I would totally dig those pants with the ruffled shirt.

ruffles and camo… would have never thunk to put it together… but it looks so cute!

Did you see in the lace front cardigan pictures…she has that paired with leopard print flats?!? Another combo I know you'd love to explore!!

Sheaffer! I went to Loft today and was finally able to snatch up the leopard flutter sleeve top. Yay! Love leopard. While I was paying for it, a Loft employee walked in wearing the same shirt with…wait for it…camo pants. Leopard + camo?! I used to think that would be crazy, but she totally rocked it!
