So, I’ve been reading your blog since July. I found you during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale when searching on google for the best Anniversary Sale deals, and I knew from the first post I read that I was hooked. I have a deep love for Nordstrom just like you. In fact, I’m thinking we might be soul sisters.
Even though I’ve been reading for 6 months now, I’ve only bought 2 things you’ve mentioned.
Shocking, I know. However, I was 8 months pregnant with our first baby when I found your blog, so I wasn’t really into buying anything, except the blardigan because I knew I was going to need that in the hospital and for late night nursing sessions at home. And I’m not sure I should be admitting this, but I think I’ve worn it at some point during the day or night every single day since it arrived on my doorstep back in July. Anyway, the reason I’m writing you today is that I’m finally ready to buy some more PTMT recommendations. The baby is 4 months old now, and I’ve gotten a little bit of my groove back! Anyway, I have a Nordstrom gift card to spend (my in-laws knew I wanted to do some post-baby shopping, and they also know that Nordstrom gift cards are my love language). He He He 🙂
Help me spend my money! What should I get?

Now, since I don’t know your budget or any details about your closet and what you already have, I’ll just tell you the things I find myself wearing all the time right now.
My first suggestion, the new MUST HAVE jeans of course!

An oldie but goodie is the MUST HAVE shirt

It’s great for a post baby body too.
It looks great with a 1/2 tuck, but it also looks just as good worn like a tunic (with jeans).
However, I don’t think it’s tunic-y enough to wear with leggings (it’s a little too clingy)…but like I said, it does look great worn out with skinny jeans. If you order this shirt, definitely size down. I’m wearing an x-small.
And remember, I only recommend the dark colors in this shirt due to the fact that light colors show too many wrinkles. Black is the one I recommend the most.

I can hardly believe I’m saying this because when I bought them for myself a couple of months ago, I was unsure how often I would really wear them.

I wear them quite frequently.
Let’s be honest. I’ve worn them at some point during the day or night almost every single day since they arrived on my doorstep.
I love throwing them on with jeans to run out the door in the morning to drop Carter off at school (because I don’t even have to find a pair of socks!), and it’s just so easy. And when I wear them around town, it’s like I’m wearing slippers (SUPER CUTE slippers) out of the house.
And my goodness are they warm.
The lattice cardy pair I have are almost sold out at Nordstrom,

Remember that you can wear them as either a tall or short boot, and I like wearing them both ways!

I would also recommend getting a puffer vest. I have found myself wearing the 3 I have in a non-stop rotation lately. They are so cute over flannel and gingham button downs, but my errand outfit has become jeans, my UGGs, a brightly colored hooded sweatshirt, and one of my puffer vests! So warm and cozy, but still cute!
Most places have super limited sizes remaining in their puffer vests, but I saw that LOFT has a good selection!

I have a bit of Christmas money myself (I let you all know earlier this week that I bought THIS military vest, THIS hooded tee, and THESE black riding boots) that are ALL STILL ON SALE…..but when browsing at the mall on Monday, I found THESE babies too.
I saw some that were similar last year (different brand), but they were $150, and I didn’t know how much I would wear them, so I passed.
These are $50, so they are way more affordable….and in fact, I think I like them more than the ones I originally saw last year!

Anywho! The jeans are ah-mazing! But you already know this. They remind me of the softness of the old navy rockstar jeans, but that’s where the comparison ends. These are good quality, flattering and just a great jean. So pumped for these.
Now let’s talk about the GIRLS!! I’m a busty girl myself and the thought of ordering a bra online is totally laughable. But the thought of going to get measured and fitted with three littles in tow is even more laughable. Even when I do get that done, when I get home I’m not happy with them and switch back to one I’ve had forever and is a hot mess. SO I did it. I ordered a bra online. And let me tell you, it is insane! I just texted my sister ( who is also a busty girl) and said GET. IT. NOW! I took it out of the packaging and I’m like thin straps? What? This will never work. WRONG!!! This thing is redonkulous. So comfortable, keeps the girls where they should be. Loving it!!! As soon as they are back on sale I’m ordering 3 more. I should have just trusted you and done that to begin with!
Thanks for the jeans, but the bra = life changing! Jean, leggings, shorts are all great. But a great bra is a must have every single day. You can’t look great in your clothes without the right foundation underneath!
On another note my husband asked me a few days ago, what are all these nordstroms charges??? Whoops!!

I wanted to pipe in about the Natori bras. I bought my first one last year after you talked about it at some point, and I too now have 3. After I buy a couple more I hope to throw out all of my other bras because all other bras are now inferior. I have a lot of PTMT items and I really do love all of them, but the Natori bras are my favorite. Thanks from Michigan!

I broke down and got the regular cardi UGGS, even though I was like you and not sure at all I would really wear them. I had never owned a pair of UGGS before and wasn't really sure I was an UGG girl. Well, bless MY heart. I wear them all the time and love them!

I recommend the Best Tunic Ever to Andrea. I have three but I think my favorite is the Black because I can change it up by wearing different scarves, leggings or boots. Thanks Sheaffer for PTMT! Without your site I would've never stretched outside my comfort zone and tried new clothing styles!

I second Uggs as a must have. Ive gone through 3 pairs over the years because I wear them so frequently, I end up with a hole through the toe area 🙁 Sooo comfy.

If Nordstrom packages don't quit showing up on my front porch my hubby is going to strangle me!!! I don't own everything you've posted about but close. LOL I did buy the UGG boots like yours and I love the look of them and the comfort but I'm a little disappointed that they are "peeling" or looking really fuzzy like shedding. I'm probably not making any sense but can't figure out how exactly to describe it. My SIL has the regular cardi ones and I'm thinking I should have gone with those instead of the lattice ones. And here is a crazy one for you…I'm 37 and my ears are not pierced. I tried when I was probably 12 or so but they got infected and I didn't take care of them so let them grow up, got them pierced again when I was 19 and had issues again and let them grow up for the 2nd time….but now I'm seriously considering trying one more time because I want to wear all the super cute earrings you post!! 🙂

When you say your "busty".. What size are you talking, i'm a 36dd, but when I went to a very expensive place to be measured I was a 34g.. That's not a typo, and I came out $175 poorer for 1bra!!!… i'm a dress size 11.

I started reading your blog for the Bachelor recaps (please say you are doing them for Farmer Chris!) but I ended up loving your clothing inspiration. Even though I live super close to the Mall of America I never shopped the Nordstrom there because it felt too pricey. Now I love it.
