The pan comes with a lid, a metal steamer basket/colander, 2 easy pour spouts, a stay cool handle, and a wooden spatula (and built in notch and rest for that spatula).  It’s CRAZY how much I’ve grown to love the built in spoon rest.  It’s just so dang convenient! Our Place’s Always Pan

Today I’m going to be sharing 2 delicious recipes, and both use only the Our Place’s Always Pan.  The first recipe is Skillet Enchiladas.  It’s very similar to a recipe that my mom frequently made for our family when growing up.  It’s basically a version of a King Ranch Chicken Casserole, but it only uses the 1 skillet for preparation, and you can serve the recipe right out of the skillet as well!  And come on, every mom LOVES 1 pot cooking!

Ingredient List:

• 4 Cups Cooked and Shredded Chicken
• 1 small yellow onion
• 1 can green enchilada sauce
• 1 can chopped green chilies
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• 1 TBSP taco seasoning
• 8-10 corn tortillas, cut into strips
• grated cheese to cover
• cover top of skillet with following:  chopped tomatoes, chopped green onion, olives, and cilantro

Directions:  Sautee onions in olive oil until translucent.  Add cooked and shredded chicken, green enchilada sauce, green chilies, taco seasoning, and sour cream.  Mix together until combined.  Add corn tortilla strips and combine.  After tortilla strips are mixed in, top with shredded cheese and put lid on skillet to melt cheese.

After the cheese is melted, I like to top it with chopped tomatoes, green onions, olives, and cilantro.

It makes such a nice presentation in the Our Place’s Always Pan.

It’s as if the dogs think I had prepared them a nice meal.

I love that the family can just serve themselves straight from the pan.  EVERYTHING was done in this one pan, which makes clean up a total breeze!

I wanted a dramatic look, so I went with charcoal for the plates and bowls.  They look blue in these pics for some reason, but they are definitely a dark and smoky grey.  They’re so pretty and I love the size.

And check this out!  If you do a lot of steaming in your house, or if you would like to start doing a lot of steaming in your house, you can choose to add on a spruce steamer (or 2).

Each steamer comes with a set of bamboo cooking chopsticks and 15 paper liners.

You can of course perfectly steam (non mushy!) vegetables and fish, but you can also steam other things such as tamales and dumplings.

Click HERE for the dumpling recipe I followed.  You use the basic skillet for the first part of the recipe when cooking the filling.  It’s a super yummy combo of pork, shrimp, green onions, dried black shitake mushrooms, ginger, sesame oil, oyster sauce, and sherry wine.  Delicious!

After I cooked the filling and assembled the dumplings, I piled them into the 2 steamers!

They fit snugly on to the skillet base, and the top locks in the steam! I love that you can easily stack two on top of each other to give more surface area for steaming.

If you can’t tell, I was pretty dang proud of myself.

And the pups were certain they were going to get a treat.

Here are some CARE TIPS for the pan:

+ 1-2 tablespoons of oil or butter is more than enough to lightly coat the Always Pan’s entire surface. High smoke point oils are recommended… extra virgin olive, refined coconut, avocado, and peanut oils as well as ghee.

+ Avoid cooking on high heat.

+ Hand wash with warm soapy water to extend the life of the non-stick coating. It comes with a special sponge that cleans it with barely any elbow grease!

+ Use non-metal utensils to avoid damaging the coating (the pan comes with a wooden spatula).

My obsession with this pan is real y’all.  I look forward to preparing meals and don’t even mind cleaning up as much because I get to put the pretty clean pan right back on top of my range to admire!

If you’re struggling with what to get your mom for Mother’s Day, this pan would be an excellent choice.  Just pick a color that would complement her kitchen and her decor to make it personalized and special!  I’m telling you, she will be THRILLED.  Since I already gifted it to both my mom and mother-in-law, I’m thinking the steamer baskets would be a perfect idea for them!
