Way back in 2017 I did a post where I took a plaid infinity scarf, and I styled it 6 different ways. I received lots of great feedback on the post. Many of y’all commented on how you really appreciated seeing the same items in tons of different outfits, because that’s how we all dress! I mean, none of us wears something one way or just one time and then call it quits. We wear it, and we wear it, and we wear it again.
And then throw it over a chair. And then wear it again. Or maybe that’s just me. 😉
Well, after the feedback on that first post, a series was born! I’ve probably done around 30 or so Style It Again, Sheaffer posts over the last several years, and today is the latest installment.
So I think you’ve already seen almost all of the tops in this post, but today you’re going to see the first way I styled it, and then I’m going to show you at least 1 additional way to style it. The purpose of these posts is to highlight the versatility of the piece to hopefully help you stretch your outfits and your wardrobe!
BOAT NECK SWEATER
This boat neck sweater surprised me in all the best ways. I’m wearing the “heather oatmeal” here, and it really is a perfect neutral. But if you don’t need a neutral, there are 8 other gorgeous colors to choose from. The scallops on the neckline are beautiful, and the detail all the way down the top of the sleeves is really lovely.
It’s very lightweight and can easily be dressed up or down. As you can see on the left, it tucks in nicely. As you can see on the right, the banded hem is very flattering and looks great worn out too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. I do think it runs on the large side, so I would size down if between sizes. (I actually ordered the coral color over the weekend in a small. It arrived yesterday, and I definitely like the fit of the small better.)

Dressing this sweater up with my favorite pleated straight leg ankle pants was a total no brainer. And they are NOW ON SALE!
The fact that I’m LOVING some pants from Wit and Wisdom should come as no surprise to any of you (because HELLO I’ve been obsessed with the brand for years). HOWEVER, these pants are pleated, so I was not expecting to love them at all. Because of the pleats, I didn’t think they were going to work on my body (since my tummy is my problem area). WELL, I was wrong! They are crazy comfy and quite flattering! They are a substantial ponte like fabric, but they’re a medium weight and not too heavy at all. They are crazy super soft and stretchy, but they keep their shape throughout the day. They’ve got a double bar and hook closure with a hidden button and a functional zipper, but I’m telling you, you can just pull these on if you want to! Yes, they have that much give. Most size down in these, but I’m wearing my regular size 4.
If you’re just too scared to try the pleated pants, then grab these flat front wide leg pants. They’re also from Wit and Wisdom and they’re awesome too.

You can also dress it down with sneakers.
This outfit is an easy formula to follow, and it’s one that will be on repeat for sure.

And for a different look here, all I did was switch out the regular denim with my favorite faded black denim (that you will see on me in just a sec).

BLAZER
Okay, this is a piece you are seeing for the first time, and this blazer is FABULOUS. I’m about to show it two ways. First up, with denim!
Everybody needs a classic black blazer that they love in their closet (I own this one and LOVE IT), but this brown herringbone one would be a nice addition too. It’s tailored with 1 button, tiny puff shoulders, and a rounded hem. I absolutely love the feminine fit. It’s girly and quite flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I’m loving my new cognac belt too. You’re going to be seeing this in a ton of outfits!

And of course I needed to show it styled for the office. I mean, who wants to hire me?!?

LEOPARD BLOUSE
Leopard is huge this season, and I thought the overall shape and style of this leopard blouse was so fun! The little puff sleeves, the tiny pleated and gathered details, the short and swingy fit… it’s all good. It is a bit sheer, so I will either wear a nude or black cami under it. And although I love it with regular denim, it would also look great with black denim or even black coated denim for a bit of an edgier look. Oooh! Maybe even a pair of leather pants or leather shorts, y’all! I will say this top is on the shorter side, so it might not work for you if you have a long torso. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These Aliyah jeans are fabulous, and although they aren’t on sale, they are only $68. They are stretchy, comfy, flattering as all get out, and what I consider to be a perfect straight leg option. And since they are clean without any distressing, they are appropriate for jeans days at work! I know that wide leg jeans and barrel jeans are all the rage right now, but I have to say, I still find a nice straight leg jean to be the most figure flattering by far. These are a mid to high rise with a slightly frayed hem. I like the length with these booties, but I might actually cut a bit of length off so they will show a little ankle on me when wearing sneakers or flats. For size reference, I find them to be true to size. I’m wearing a 27.

LOVING it with the pleated pants. I did try both a black cami and a nude cami under it, and I definitely prefer the black cami (that I’m wearing in this picture). Click HERE for the cami I grabbed. It’s got some compression in it, so it holds you in in all the right places.

It’s great with my favorite faded black jeans too.
These jeans have added some needed dimension to my closet. They’re a heavier denim and have a bit more structure than most of my WW jeans, and I’m so excited to be wearing them again this fall. They’re good with booties, with flats, with mules, and with fashion sneakers. They hit at the ankle and have a frayed hem. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

WINE CROSSOVER SWEATER
I love that the wine and plum colors are all the rage right now, and this crossover pointelle sweater is just so pretty. This is actually called “beet red”, and it also comes in black, evening blue, and pink smoke. It’s great with a pair of denim, it would be great with a pair of nicer work pants (think black, grey, or neutral), and I think it would also be super cute with a pair of cords (like these ankle flare cords or these bootcut cords). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in the sweater.
As you can see, you can wear the banded hem out (like I’m doing on the left) or you can tuck it under (like I’m doing on the right).

It’s a great look for the office with these black pants. You could even dress the look up more with some higher heels and sparkly jewelry! You could be ready for a holiday party!

SMOCKED YOKE BLOUSE
This smocked yoke blouse is GORGEOUS. I love it with this regular denim, I’ll love it with black denim, and you’ll definitely be able to style it for the office as well. And get this! You also have the option to grab a matching skirt. It’s not a look that I’m sure if I could pull off or not, but I do like it!
For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the blouse.

Yep.

Here it is with the skirt I was talking about earlier. I love the look, I’m just not sure my 5’4″ frame can handle it. I think it would be great for you taller girls!

STRIPED SWEATER
I can tell you with great certainty that this raglan sleeve sweater is going to be on constant rotation for me this fall. I LOVE IT. It’s incredibly soft and cozy. It’s a wool/cashmere blend, but it is not itchy AT ALL, so don’t let the wool blend scare you because I don’t do itchy sweaters. I’m wearing this fabulous camel and pink stripe combo, but it also comes in a black and white stripe combo as well as in several solid colors. I like the ribbed collar and sleeves, the banded and ribbed hem, and the exposed seams on the shoulders are a nice touch. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
The price is high, but I personally believe this sweater is worth it. I also like that it’s thin enough that it can easily be worn under a close-fitting jacket. And it’s nice enough to be dress up for the office.
These are the “Rhythm Vintage” jeans and they are currently ON SALE! They’ve got good stretch and are quite soft, so they are super comfy. I love the ankle length and frayed hem, and I think the overall fit is very flattering. For size reference, I’m wearing a 27.

Love the pop of color with the stripes!

SALE ALERT
Okay. I’m in love. This paisley ruffle cotton voile mini skirt is right up my alley and it’s NOW ON SALE. It’s lightweight, it’s obviously super comfortable due to the elastic/smock waist and pull-on styling, and this rich plum color is FAB for fall. And how cute is the wide bandana like hem!
Here I have it styled with just a regular white v-neck and denim jacket. It would look amazing with cowboy boots, and this is an outfit I would totally wear to a concert (although I’d also wear to just a regular ol’ dinner out)! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It is quite short, so if you’re tall, it might not work for you.

And just for a little bit different of a look, here I’ve paired it with a neutral striped short sleeved sweater.
Oh…. and I love these beaded fringe earrings.

LIMITED TIME SALE (crossing my fingers it’s still on sale!)
Because I’m apparently really digging the Western vibes these days, check out this plaid button up that kinda makes me wanna say yee-haw! 😉 This one also has excellent reviews. It’s 99% cotton and 1% elastane. I don’t know how that 1% makes a difference, but it totally does. It’s got a perfect little bit of stretch to it that I really appreciate in a button down. These sleeves are part ruffle and part puff, but totally darling. (You can see an up close and detailed shot of the sleeve on the site, and you can see it actually looks a little tailored. It’s realllly cute.) I’m in love with this shirt. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium and liked the fit. Some reported they sized down, but the buttons at the chest definitely would have pulled if I had of sized down.

Sheaffer, nothing to do with today’s post, but I thought you might know if Nordstrom stopped carrying the Bliss throw. I have been buying them forever, since you first said buy them. I Absolutely LOVE them and have them in every room of my house. I keep looking and they seem to no longer be available. What will we do without them
Sheaffer says
They weren’t in the anniversary sale this year, so I too was left wondering if they are no longer carrying them?!? CAROL!!!!!! WHAT WILL WE DO!!!!!
