Living in Texas, we were experiencing summer temperatures here (think mid 80s!) even as late as a week and a half ago. But things started changing a couple of weekends ago, and we were quickly ushered into full blown Fall. I’m talking morning temps in the low 40s with a nice crisp bite in the air. Luckily, my front porch and I were ready! I got my front porch together when it was still warm outside, and Narci quickly hopped over and grabbed some pics before all the rain started.
I’m excited to be partnering up with eBay again today and sharing my front porch with everybody! Throughout this year I’ve worked with eBay on several occasions, so I think you know by now that it’s a treasure trove of all sorts of amazing finds, including awesome items for your home (and you can easily shop by category)!
WELCOME TO MY FRONT PORCH, Y’ALL!
I absolutely love having a home that is welcoming to others, and that starts with the front porch. We have a nice sized front porch with this house (which is a first for us), so it can be a bit overwhelming to decorate. Luckily, eBay came to the rescue and made it so easy. Whether your front porch is big or small, I’m going to show you how turning to eBay can help you get your front porch all ready for Fall as well!
My first tip for a great fall porch? Mums. Lots and lots of mums in various colors. And a smattering of pumpkins.
Mums and pumpkins will have your porch feeling like Fall in no time.
This year I decided to house my mums in these adorable olive buckets. And you can find a ton of them in various shapes and sizes on eBay.
I just love them!
I’ve shared this with you before, but do you know that 81% of the items offered on eBay are new and almost all of the items have the “But It Now” capability?!? And 69% of items ship for free!
I already had the Adirondack chairs (find a ton of options on eBay HERE), but I knew I wanted to layer pillows on them to add color and texture to the outdoor space.
I placed a large ticking stripe fabric pillow (love the tie detailing) on the back, and then layered smaller pillows up front. Click HERE for a huge selection of fall outdoor pillows. Click HERE for some similar pillows in a ticking stripe.
And when I found a Kantha throw, I knew it would be perfect draped on the back of one of the chairs to be used on chilly mornings. I fell in love with the vibrant colors and mixtures of patterns in these throws.
And I was so happy to find such a great selection of Kantha throws on eBay! Just click on what you are interested in:
To add one more textural layer, a jute rug did the trick. You can find lots of outdoor rugs HERE.
A great front door mat is always an easy way to change up your porch for the seasons, and this gather mat was just what I needed! Find lots of front door mat options HERE.
And a great Fall wreath is an absolute necessity! A wreath alone can totally change the look of your porch.
In fact, if you are only going to do one thing to your porch, put your money towards a wreath that you love. A wreath will definitely make the most impact and get you the most bang for your buck. I loved the pine cones and pomegranates on the one I snagged (that is no longer available), but eBay has lots of great Fall wreath options! I think this one is stunning, but I know it will go fast!
You can find a similar wooden HARVEST sign HERE, and another great sign option that says FALL HERE (10 available). And there’s a lot of wooden front porch signs to choose from HERE.
If you like that pumpkin next to the Harvest sign, you can find some metal pumpkins HERE.
In addition to the olive buckets, I also used sap buckets for some of the mums! That’s a red tin sap bucket in the planter, and a painted wooden sap bucket on the floor. You can find a selection of tin sap buckets HERE and a selection of wooden sap buckets HERE. Some wooden buckets are quite expensive, but if you are patient you can find a great deal!
Here’s a similar lit jack o lantern if you like the idea of having one that stands the test of time.
I think all of the different textures and layers make the porch interesting, cozy, and ready for Fall! I love the colorful layered look.
Don’t you want to just sit a spell and sip on a hot cider with a friend? Come on over!

This is my 6th eBay post this year, so it’s my hope that you are starting to become familiar with the retailer and all they have to offer!
Click HERE for my 1st post where I highlighted NEW WITH TAG workout gear. This post introduced me to the new eBay! I realized that I could buy items NEW WITH TAGS, that items were easily searchable, and that I could get amazing deals!
Click HERE for my 2nd post where I highlighted Dyson vacuums (and took a walk down memory lane with the pups). This post changed the vacuum game in my house.
Click HERE for my 3rd post where I highlighted our new air fryer. FYI, I love this thing so much. I use it at least 3x every single week.
Click HERE for my 4th post where I highlighted the Dyson Super Sonic hair dryer. This dryer is expensive, but it’s bettered my quality of life. #FORREAL Find ALL THINGS DYSON on eBay HERE.
Click HERE for my 5th post where I highlighted fall fashion with eBay!
A huge THANK YOU to eBay for sponsoring this post and for helping me get my porch all decked out for Fall!
Before you go, I have some other items I’ve found that I thought you would want to know about. I found some GORGEOUS pre-lit grapevine pumpkins, Thanksgiving banners, and I’m loving this 8″ inflatable pumpkin family for the front yard.
And if you too have been hit with cold weather recently, check out the North Face offering that are on eBay HERE! I also highly encourage you to go check out the eBay DEAL OF THE DAY! You never know what they might be featuring!

Oh, girl. You don’t want to see my pantry. 🙂 But I have got to get a closet post together! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

I love all the mums! They’re the only plant I don’t seem to kill, so I’m always excited to see them all around in this season!

Excuse me, but how adorable are you on that festive porch!!! Obsessed with those olive buckets, too! I’ve never seen those before!!
Carrie says
Thanks for this post! I snatched up some olive buckets at a much cheaper price than Hobby Lobby has them! Where did you find the other galvanized bucket in the front that isn’t an olive bucket? It looks corrugated.
Also, how do you keep your pillows looking nice and clean outside?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Carrie! That was eBay too, but it was just a one and done listing. You sometimes have to search for treasures! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

Everything looks great! I have the hardest time making myself go shop for mums and pumpkins. I don’t want to spend the high price of the nursery and don’t want to go to the big box stores. But it is inspiring to see how pretty you’ve made everything with eBay and natural items.
Carrie says
If anyone out there wants a cheaper Barefoot dreams cardigan, google view your deal (the views deals) and they have them for $49. Just thought I would share!!
Sheaffer says
Great tip! Thanks, Carrie! xoxo
Amy says
So cute! But what I really want to know is where you got your top!!!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Amy! Are you on facebook? I posted it on facebook tonight! xoxo
Jeanie says
Your porch looks really great!
Andrea says
This is completely unrelated to your adorable porch, but it made me laugh. My husband came in tonight with my shipment of Kopari products and asked what they were. I told him you recommended them and before I could really explain, he said, “oh yes. You always do what Sheaffer tells you to.” ??? So true, and you have never steered me wrong!
Sheaffer says
YES, ANDREA! Hubbys need to just understand. 🙂 Thanks for the sweet and funny message!
