***FYI, if you go to the J Crew website, my exact shirt is on sale right now. It is WAY MORE than I usually spend on a shirt, but I sucked it up and shelled out the cash. I think it is the perfect fit….not too baggie……not too tight….not too heavy….and a really good “lived in” color.
So, now is the time to give a shout out to my friend Melissa from high school! I haven’t seen her in years (our parents live on the same street now), but we have been talking via facebook (I messaged her awhile back because I thought her youngest son looks like my kid).
In fact, when my kid saw a picture of her kid, he thought it was a picture of himself!
Anyway, she facebooked (that is a verb, right?….well if it’s not, it should be) me a couple of days ago and said…
“I have to admit – I bought a denim shirt because of you.
Haven’t owned one since FMJH’s Howdy dance.”
That’s right. Lake Highlands is in the house.
The denim shirt is bringing people together.
(While we are on the Howdy Dance….let’s talk about Barn Dance for a cotton pickin’ second. Wearing a matching flannel shirt with your date seemed super cool at the time.
I now question the cool factor.)
