It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!
First of all, I want to announce the names of the women that are going to be blessed with blardigans today (you can read the story of why we are doing this in Manda’s honor HERE).
I will say the response was both heart breaking and heart warming. Heart breaking because there are so many women, and lots of young women with young families, who are courageously battling cancer right now. The response was also heart warming because so many of you had such kind and loving words to say about your friends and family members who are going through their battles with such grace. We wish we could give away hundreds of blardigans to all of these deserving women.
Although we had originally said we were going to give away 10, we are now going to give away 20! Shay had 2 readers come forward (that would like to remain anonymous) who wanted to donate additional blardigans. Isn’t that amazing?!? And then we decided to throw in some more to round it out to 20! So below you will find 20 names of women who are so deserving of this little blardigan blessing. Please e-mail Shay at mixandmatchmama@yahoo.com with the following information: your choice of a blardigan OR a baby blardigan, your color choice, your size choice, and the physical address you would like the blardigan sent to. We hope it will provide you some comfort during a very difficult time.

So I showed y’all THIS top in a flat lay last week, and today you get to see it on! It’s meant to be off the shoulder, but as you’ll see a little further down, it’s still super cute worn ON the shoulder as well. I like that this top has some length to it, and the eyelet detailing is just so pretty! I’m wearing a small in the top, so I think it’s true to size. And I’m of course wearing my favorite strapless bra with it. And pay attention to the the clutch. It’s a great neutral with braid detailing and a fun tassel, and it’s totally reasonable at $39! I’m going to do a more detailed review of the white jeans on Monday!
off the shoulder top / foldover clutch/ beaded teardrop earrings / white jeans / sandals / stacking bracelets
And check out THESE bracelets.
Look at all the colors you can choose from!!! I showed these in a flat lay earlier this week on both facebook and instagram, but I told y’all not to buy them yet because I was going to have a code on Friday! And it’s a GREAT code. These bracelets are normally $20 each….and the code will get you the bracelets for ONLY $12 each! code = STMTSTACKERS

And here’s the same top worn ON the shoulder! See, it’s still sooooo cute! This time I’m wearing it with my new pair of frayed hem ankle jeans. There will be a full review on these jeans on Monday’s post, but know this….I LOVE THEM. I’m wearing my regular size (27), but if you are in between sizes, I would suggest sizing down.
off the shoulder top / similar cross body/ earrings with blush fringe/ frayed hem jeans/ sandals

Conner has already started working on her next WORK WEAR post! I’m obsessed with this skirt and the two outfits Conner put together with it! AND Y’ALL…until 10:00 a.m. EST this morning (9:00 CST) you can get 50% OFF at LOFT with the code LUCKY50!!!!! Here’s what Conner had to say about her outfit:
Gosh I love this outfit – it screams spring! I absolutely love the dandelion color, but have never been able to wear it in a top because it doesn’t look good with my coloring. You can imagine how thrilled I was when I found it in a skirt. This outfit is comfortable, but still very professional. The skirt is a thicker, textured material, so it doesn’t wrinkle. It’s super flattering and I love that I can pair it with practically anything. I don’t have a navy cardigan in my wardrobe, but I recommend adding a navy or coral cardigan to really take the look to the next level. I’m wearing my Loft blouse from the last post and my Jessica Simpson Calie pumps. If you’re not a fan of the pumps, you can also pair it with the Corso Como flats from last post. I accessorized with my layering necklace (type in Riad).
tab sleeve blouse / floral textured pencil skirt / necklace (type in Riad) / heels / similar grey satchel (much less expensive!)
white tee / Conner’s exact jacket (the MUST HAVE jacket!) / similar cognac wedges / Barrington Savannah tote (use the code PTMTSAVE10 for 10% OFF)
And in the same color combo, look at THIS gorgeous top. 50% OFF until 10 EST with the code LUCKY50!
And I’m loving THESE relaxed denim shorts. 50% OFF until 10 EST with the code LUCKY50!
And look how gorgeous THIS floral flounce dress is!!!! A fantastic deal at 50% OFF!

I’ve got another restock alert for y’all! THIS BAG!
The tote really is WOW worthy. It’s a great size (not too big, not too small), the tote has enough structure to stand on it’s own, it has little feet on the bottom, the scallops are obviously DARLING (total bonus that they are perforated), and I love the contrast of the white lining! It’s a great tote. And like I said previously, IT’S ONLY $49!!!!! And if we’re being honest, I love it so much more than THIS one from Kate Spade….and it’s $328.
As you can see, there’s a whole lot of room on the inside! There’s one interior pocket that’s great for a cell phone and keys, and the rest of the tote has plenty of room for a wallet, sunglasses case, and make-up bag…which is what I was carrying in it this particular day. I’ve also had a water bottle and my Erin Condren planner in it without any problem. AND my denim jacket. And y’all, the white lining makes it so easy to find things!!!!! Total bonus! Click HERE for the tote.

THIS pillow is a new favorite. I’ve had this bedding since we moved to this house over 2 years ago, but I’ve been adding a rearranging pillows ever since. Besides the shams (which are from Pottery Barn), all of the other Pillows are from HomeGoods that I’ve just picked up on random trips. But THIS pillow is the newest addition. The crewel work on the front is GORGEOUS, and the back is a solid coral velvet type material. I’m in love with it. My bedding is a couple of years old, but THIS is similar.

This fella’s face is definitely a favorite. This was a couple of weeks ago at his Open House. He wrote (and illustrated) this book he’s holding, and we were so impressed with it! And the best thing was how proud he was of himself!

Last week was our Spring Break, and I took Carter to Dallas to spend the day with my mom and Brody (my sister’s son). My mom took them to Pump It Up and they had a blast!
So this next one is a FAVORITE that I’m totally proud of. To be honest, I kinda feel like a genius 😉 …..
For my 30th birthday a couple of years ago (ahem, WHAT?) I got a grown up bag. It’s the only really nice bag I have, and until recently I only carried it on special occasions because I was always worried that I was going to mess it up. My fear probably came from the fact that the first week I had it, I took it with me to get a mani/pedi, and a lady there dropped a bottle of hot pink fingernail polish on the floor. It busted and splattered all over the place…but stopped short about 2 inches in front of my bag. I’m telling you, it was a heart stopping moment. And I think that was the main reason that I stopped carrying my bag. But recently, I realized that was stupid. I had a bag in my closet (THAT I LOVED), but I was never carrying it. Seriously. That’s just dumb.
So about a month ago, I started carrying it more frequently. And you know what? I haven’t messed it up! And I’ve really enjoyed finally getting to carry it! It’s definitely my favorite bag I own (as it should be, HELLO $$), but I also have a large cross body that I always reach for if I’m headed to the mall or grocery store. Sad thing is, the cross body is several years old, and it’s starting to show signs of wear. It was inexpensive (like under $80), so the wear and tear is to be expected. Anyway, I started entertaining the idea of spending some money on a nice cross body (thinking like $300-$400) since I carried it so often. Well, I ordered a ton (seriously, I probably ordered 7 or 8), and I took all of them back. They were all too structured or too small, and I really wanted a slouchy bag with some room.
While at Northpark last week, I was determined to find a new cross body. I even went to the Louis Vuitton store (I have a birthday coming up!), but the only cross body I liked was very similar to the shape of the bag I already owned. So then I had a light bulb moment. I asked about ordering an LV strap to go with my bag. They were more than happy to order me one, but it was over $400. Um, no thank you. So then I went to the Frye store hoping they would have one. They did, but it was almost $200 and the strap was too long (and not adjustable). So I went back through trusty ol’ Nordstrom and found THIS baby. FOR $45. And I absolutely LOVED it.
So, I basically have a totally new bag for $45. And I’m a bit of a genius. So there’s that. I think it’s just as cute as can be and so springy and fresh and fun!!!!!!
cross body strap / striped boatneck tee (50% OFF with code LUCKY50 until 9:00 a.m. CST) / $14 LOVE necklace / similar jeans / sneakers

And if you want some other guitar straps to choose from, here you go! Maybe one of them will transform one of your bags!

Y’all remember Candace? She was the 2nd ever Special Mama Giveway winner (learn more about her HERE) and she is absolutely one of my FAVORITE people! Well, she has an etsy shop with autism tees…and since April is Autism Awareness Month, I thought some of you might be interested in buying one now! They are great quality, so cute, and they do an awesome job of helping spread awareness. Shop all of her shirts HERE, and click HERE to check out Candace’s blog!
Here’s a picture of me in a couple of her shirts. They are great quality and really cute!
On Candace’s About Me Page she says the following:
Counting on Hope was birthed as a way to help with our family finances. I wear a lot of autism t-shirts. Maybe it’s a defense mechanism. A white flag if you will. When we are out and about and my oldest son is struggling with things like stimming, meltdowns, transitioning, communicating, socializing, etc. I hope that people will see the autism message on my shirt and be understanding. Or just be aware. Most of the autism shirts I own are big and boxy and not too appealing. For some reason, it has not stopped me from wearing them. But that is about to change! At Counting on Hope, it is our desire to create autism clothing that you can wear proudly.
Love you, Candace!

Okay, last thing girls! LOTS OF MY FAVORITE MAKE UP IS ON SALE!!!
The primer is something I received as a sample about a year ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. It gives my tinted moisturizer staying power, and it just gives a really nice finish! I have tons of MAC lip glosses and love them all. The Stila eyeliner (I wear “alloy” which is a grey, the black was way to dramatic for me.) is my very favorite eyeliner I’ve ever worn in my life. It goes on so smoothly and easily, and it doesn’t smudge all day! The eyeshadow primer is raved about by so many readers that I finally added it to my cart, and the lengthening eyelash primer is a MUST HAVE for me. I received it as a sample as well and was absolutely AMAZED at how it lengthened my lashes before I put my mascara on!!!!!! It doesn’t clump, the mascara goes on easier, and it truly lengthens you lashes. You will love it. I’m so excited that all of this stuff is ON SALE!!!!!
foundation primer / lip gloss / eyeliner (I wear alloy.) / eyeshadow primer / lengthening eyelash primer
AND my beauty blender HERE. I use my Beauty Blender to apply my tinted moisturizer (I wear Groenland), and it goes on flawlessly. I left it at the ranch house once, and I PANICKED when I had to apply the make-up with my hand….which I did for years without any problem – but now I hate having to do so. I will ALWAYS use this product. ALL Beauty Blender products are on sale, and they have a nude sponge now as well!
And my Urban Decay Naked Palette HERE is also on sale. This palette is AMAZING. I’m not super adventerous with eye color, and I wear lots of the colors in this collection. And you need to check out the reviews! We are talking OVER 5,600 5 STAR REVIEWS! I’ve never seen that many 5 star reviews on a product!!!!!! And if you are an Urban Decay fan in general, most Urban Decay products are ON SALE HERE!
Also….
Tons of Clinique ON SALE HERE.
Tons of Bobbi Brown ON SALE HERE. The shimmer bricks are my favorite!

I picked up the eyelet top after seeing on your blog last week, and I’m so impressed with how pretty it is! I think it looks like something from Rebecca Minkoff or Kate Spade. So excited about the make- up sale. Picking up several favorites!

It totally blesses my heart what you all have done to honor Manda and bless these other women! And, I do have to agree, you are total genius! I have one of those expensive bags, and I have really been wanting a crossbody, but I can’t bring myself to spend $1250 on one! I think I will start looking for a strap. Love this idea!
Francesca says

What a great post today (well, as always).
Do you recall the name of your LV bag? I also have a “big” birthday coming up. :))

Hey, Cindy! I’m so sorry, but I have no idea. I even looked online and couldn’t find a name. 🙁
Cindy says
Sheaffer, thanks so much for checking!!
Melissa says
A few months before my grandparents died (they died three years ago, 18 days apart) my grandmother pulled me aside and said she wanted me specifically to take some of my inheritance money and buy something for myself. Something I’ve always wanted and wouldn’t normally spend the money on for myself. So…fast forward a few months and I walked into LV and bought the same bag you have.
I love that bag so much and have carried it almost every single day since and while it does have a little wear and tear, I couldn’t imagine leaving it in my closet to collect dust. I’m so glad you came to the same conclusion because what’s the point otherwise ; ) Enjoy the update to your bag and I’ll echo everyone who said they were so happy about the Blardigan giveaway. I didn’t win one for my friend who is currently fighting breast cancer, but I’m so happy for the girls who did win! I hope it offers them a bit of comfort in the midst of their illness.
Kris says
Love your LV bag. I have one and never carry it because it doesn’t seem like “me.” But maybe with a funkier strap I would feel differently. I’m not sure it will work with the style bag I have but will check this weekend! I’m looking at your picture . . . does your LV strap not come off? Can’t figure out what I’m looking at across your hip.
Sheaffer says
Yes, I wish the strap came off, but it doesn’t. ???? But for under $50, I’m happy with the transformation! Xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Nancy says
I too am looking for that “perfect” slouchy crossbody bag so if you do find a new style please continue to share. My Nordstrom shoe salesperson gave me the same suggestion just last week about using a guitar strap on a tote I wanted to update and lengthen the strap on. it seems to be “a thing”. 🙂
Addie says
