Well, I’ve got a good one for y’all and it gets the BONUS POINTS!  AND IT’S 40% OFF.

I’ve had this sweater (in black) for a couple of years now and it’s been a favorite for sure.  It’s such a great basic that you can throw on with so many things, I absolutely LOVE that it’s long enough on my 5’4″ frame for leggings, and it’s held up great in the wash.  I’m wearing a small, and it’s still oversized on me and long enough for leggings.  If you’re tall and want it long enough for leggings, consider sizing up.

I love this rusty red, but it also comes in a light grey, a very pale blush, a mustard, and a teal.  I actually really like all the colors.

I found this review online that I think sums up how fantastic this sweater really is.  And I think it sometimes help to hear endorsements from people other than me, so I’m just going to copy and paste it for you here:

Longest lasting sweater!  This is my go-to sweater! I have it in white and black and have seriously worn it at least once a week for the last two years in the fall/winter months. It’s so basic you can tuck it into high wasted pants with a jacket, throw it on over workout leggings and sneakers, or dress it up skinny jeans and knee high boots. This sweater has withheld seattle rain, coffee stains, baby spit up, and I even put it in the dryer and it has little to no pilling. My boots are a couple of years old, but THESE are super similar and ON SALE!  I’ve actually tried them on and love them, but you need to know that like mine, they are really only made for leggings and tights.  They are very fitted and it’s too hard to stuff jeans into them, but they look AWESOME with leggings and tights.

There are actually several black boot options that are ALL ON SALE!  Varying heights, varying heel types, and different style features.  Lots of awesome choices at great price points.  Everybody needs a pair of tall black boots.

Now let’s talk about the leggings.

These SPANX faux leather leggings aren’t on sale, but they are worth EVERY. DANG. PENNY.

I’m telling you, if you want to feel like a million bucks, treat yourself to these leggings.

They are great quality, they wash well, they don’t stretch out, and perhaps most importantly – you will feel amazing in them!  I size up to a medium in these (I wear a small in all other leggings), and they fit perfectly.  I’m guessing a small would work too, but I really like the comfort level of the mediums.  They are a couple of inches too long on my 5’4″ frame, but I only wear them with tall boots, so that’s not a problem.  And that’s great news for you tall girls that would like to wear them with heels!

They suck you in and totally slim you down, while still allowing you to breathe.  It’s a thing of wonder.

OUTFIT #2:  SWEATER AND BOOTIES ON SALE

Same sweater as above (proving how it can be easily dressed up or down), and the booties are ON SALE too!  More on them in a minute.

These jeans are my newest jeans purchase.  And you guessed it, they are Wit and Wisdom.  #ijustcannotquitthem  I’m wearing my regular 4s, but I would actually suggest sizing down.  I loved the wash, the minor distressing, and the length.  And let’s not forget the comfort level and the flattering fit.

But since it’s not too bulky, it also does great with a 1/2 tuck.

I’m sad to report that my exact tweed bag is sold out, but you can find lots of options by the same maker HERE.  They are all gorgeous and incredibly unique.  If you get one, be prepared to get compliments.

AND Y’ALL.  These booties are fabulous and 35% OFF.  They are truly a year round bootie (if you have mild winters), and I’m so happy to have them in my closet.  Mine are the “sesame suede”, but they comes in lots of colors, including a really great snake skin and a leopard print.

I love a wedge bootie for the comfort they provide, but I don’t always love the look.  WELL, I THINK THESE ARE DARLING.  The deep cut outs on the sides add a lot of interest and are very flattering.  They are the perfect height for me too because they lengthen my legs without being hard to walk in.  They are comfy, stylish, and true to size for me.  Recommendation online is to size up a 1/2, so definitely do that if between sizes.

OUTFIT #3:  SWEATER AND BOOTS ON SALE

In this outfit, both the sweater and the boots are ON SALE!

The sweater is a great mottled yarn in a beautiful plum color.  And it’s 40% OFF!  It has a mock neck, side vents, and I love the ribbed bands on the cuffs and the hem.  It’s chunky, oversized, and cozy!  I’m wearing a small and it’s still a relaxed fit.

So let’s talk about the boots.

The boots pictured are actually my Born boots from 2 years ago.  They are my favorite pair of riding boots I’ve ever owned.  I even like them more than my Frye’s, which were twice the price.

They’re really comfy for all day wear, and they just look great!  Click HERE for this year’s version that are on sale.  This year’s version has a tassel (that I actually really like) and they come in 6 colors.  I first mentioned these on facebook a couple of weeks ago, and I got lots of positive reader feedback from some ladies that already have them…

OUTFIT #4:  PONTE KNIT MOTO PANTS ON SALE

This outfit is a bit edgy for me, but I’m digging it.

First off, this moto jacket I got last year (and is still a favorite) always lends a bit of edge to any outfit I pair it with.  The cut is great, the fit is cute, it has a removable hood, and the price point is excellent.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

In addition to wearing it with jeans, I’ve thrown it on with joggers, with sequins, and with dresses!  It’s crazy versatile.

I first introduced y’all to these ponte pants on Monday.  AND GREAT NEWS!  THEY ARE ON SALE!

Now, these pants are quite a bit different than the best black pants EVER that I’ve been shouting about recently.  These new pants are from the same maker, but there are lots of features that make them different.

First off, DON’T SIZE DOWN.  I would stick with your regular size, and if between sizes, you might even consider sizing up.  I’m wearing the regular size 4s…..but I actually need to try the petite sizing.  I would prefer these pants to be ankle length on me, and as you can see they are a couple of inches too long in the regular sizing to wear with booties (or flats or pumps).  If you look closely, you can tell how I’ve cuffed them up a bit so I could show a bit of ankle.  I think the petite sizing will be perfect for my 5’4″ frame.

These are very fitted.  Actually, I would say that they fit very similarly to leggings.  They are super stretchy, feel like pajamas, and will hug all your curves.  I think I would actually consider these to be body con pants!  They are a thick ponte knit and have cute moto zippers at each hip.  The zippers lend a bit of an edge to the pants, but they can be styled with a classic vibe too.  If you head to the bottom of Monday’s post, you’ll see how I outfit planned with them for an office appropriate look.

I think everything came together for a really great look.  And I love that these pants come in 3 solid color choices (black, charcoal grey, and a deep eggplant) and several plaids and checks.

And they are an incredible value at just under $45.

Can y’all tell that I’m obsessed with my new bag?  I picked it up during my girl’s trip to Boston, and I’m so pleased with it and how it just adds a whole lot of class and style to lots of different outfits!  I’ve been wanting a bag like this for a bit, and I thought getting it in Boston was a great way to attach a memory to it as well.

And although not on sale, I’m HIGHLY RECOMMENDING these booties to anybody and everybody who will listen.

I walked all over Boston in them FOR 2 FULL DAYS.  And the entire time my feet stayed comfy, dry, and warm.

And let’s not forget CUTE.

These boots are fully waterproof, have an elastic insert on the inside and asymmetrical zip closure on the outside.  They are easy to get off and on, and they have a removable padded insole.  I love the wedge heel and the chunky textured sole.  They give me some height, elongate my legs, and are still incredibly comfortable.  True to size for me, but after reading reviews online, it seems like if you are between sizes that you should go up a 1/2 size.

And just in case I haven’t convinced you on the pants yet…here are one of the solid color pant options styled casually with a striped sweater and riding boots.

If the thought of the body con pants scare you, this is a great way to wear them!  With an oversized sweater that covers the booty!

I think it’s super flattering when you go oversized on top to go super fitted on the bottom.  And I think these pants look great styled really casually with these boots.

I know it’s hard to tell with the lighting in these pictures, but they are a really great deep eggplant/plum color (officially called “dark raisin”).  They go perfectly with this striped sweater.
