Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale – BEST PICKS!

In this first outfit, I’m sporting what I consider to be my perfect Spring uniform.  A great tee, a great cardi, and a great pair of jeans!

The tee is made of a super soft modal jersey and comes in several colors.  It runs a bit oversized, but I stuck with my normal size small because I liked how it wasn’t clingy.  It drapes nicely and just feels good on.  It has fantastic reviews and the sale price of $16 (reg. $32) is amazing!

The cardi is lightweight and perfect for Spring and Summer.  I thought this blush stripe was so unique and fresh, so I gravitated towards it over the solid colors (although there are a lot of great solids as well). It’s great with jeans, but it’s also perfect for office wear.  And the sale price of $35.40 is too good to pass up for this awesome basic.

The newest edition to my Kendra Scott collection is this beautiful blush necklace (officially called “rose/gold”), and it just went 20% OFF! I’ve loved Kendra Scott pieces for so many years, and I’m so excited about this updated version of her famous Rayne necklace.   They eliminated the chain tassel, and I love how the stone stands on it’s own and is not encased in any metal.  The necklace is adjustable, and it comes in 7 additional colors.  (Fyi, you can see lots of Kendra Scott items on sale HERE.)

Check out my arm candy!  The gold and silver blingy bracelets are ones I’ve had for probably close to 5 years now.  They are simple and classic bracelets that are great worn on their own and stacked.  The wire bracelet stack is pretty new to my collection, and I’ve loved styling the cranberry red stones with all sorts of different colors.

And just in case you are wondering, YES.  Yes I am still tying different bandanas to my bag handles.  I’m having tons of fun with it, and I just love how these $12 bandanas add so much style and color to a simple bag!

And the jeans, y’all.  THE JEANS! The Ab-Solution technology is a total game changer.  These jeans suck you in, but rest assured they are also just as soft and comfy as can be.  I’m wearing my regular size 4s, but definitely size down if between sizes.  At 5’4″, the regular length are perfect on me when I wear tall wedges.

This boot cut style is such a nice change from the typical skinny or boyfriend jeans, and I love how they can be dressed up so easily. These are the perfect pair of jeans to reach for if you’re heading to a girl’s night out or a date night with your man.

Okay, I’ve got another outfit that follows the cardi+tee+jeans outfit formula.  The cardi and tee are on sale again, and the necklace is too!

You’ve seen the cardi before, but this time I kicked it up a notch by doubling down on the stripes by adding the multicolor belt.  I’ve never met a stripe I didn’t like.

This cardi might be longer in length with long sleeves, but it is so lightweight that it is absolutely perfect for Spring and can actually be worn all the way in to Summer.  It provides coverage and a great layer, but don’t really count on it for warmth.  I’m wearing a small, but reviewers suggest sizing down, and I definitely could have.

I absolutely love my slim cut boyfriend jeans , as evidenced by how many times you’ve already seen them on the blog.  And get ready, because you are going to continue to see them.

I especially love the lighter wash and the big cuffs.  I get really hot in skinny jeans in the summer, and these are more relaxed and airy.  I’m wearing my regular size 4s here, but I would definitely suggest sizing down if between sizes.

FYI: You can change the size of the cuff, but I loved the look of the really large cuff at the bottom.  The distressing is obviously noticeable, but there are no open holes, and I prefer it that way.

I could show you at least 50 outfit pictures with these wedges, but here’s what you really need to know about them:  THEY TRULY ARE A MUST HAVE.  I named them a must have last year, and after owning them for over a year now, I stand behind the title.  I highly recommend this cognac color, but the grey version went 35% OFF today (and they are a great neutral).

The sunglasses came to live with me this week.

They are matte black with square-ish frames, and I think they are super cool.

Before y’all go, I scoured the NEW TO SALE items, and there are several that I think y’all will want to know about!  So many of the items that just hit the sale are ones that I’ve featured before.

The striped popover just went 40% OFF!

Popovers give the look of a button up, but with a more relaxed fit and feel.  This one is a classic blue and white pinstripe, and the rolled up sleeves and popped collar give it a chic yet casual vibe.  I’m wearing a small, so it’s true to size.  It comes in a lilac color too, and both would look great with denim shorts and white jeans.

This shift dress just went 40% OFF!

This particular shift is long sleeve, but I will definitely wear it all the way through summer.  It’s a light and airy cotton that is embroidered, so it still has a summery feel.  When going to church or an event, if my legs are showing, I typically like to have my arms covered.  Same can be said for the opposite situation.  If my arms are bare, I like to have my legs covered. #yep #iamold

For size reference, I’m wearing an x-small, so I would definitely suggest sizing down at least 1 size.  I’m almost 5’4″.

Also NEW TO SALE!  My higher waisted raw hem skinny jeans just went 40% OFF! Click HERE if you want to see them styled in several different outfits. They’re perfectly stretchy, incredibly comfortable, and very slimming.  They have a great raw hem, and I think the higher waist makes them feel totally chic.  I will wear them with Converse, with sneakers, with sandals, and with wedges.  In the colder months they’ll be awesome with booties and tall boots. I’m a big ol’ fan.  They would look great dressed up with heels for a night out as well!  They are true to size, I’m wearing a 4.

These espadrille wedges are DARLING and 40% OFF too!  They are a wonderful neutral with sass because of the gold and the unique espadrille style wedge.  The gold isn’t a really bright and shiny gold, it’s a more muted brushed gold (which I prefer). And the braided rope detailing on the wedge gives them great flair! They are comfy and easy to walk in, most likely due to the tall platform under the toe that makes you feel steady on your feet.  The wedges are true to size for me, but if you are sometimes between sizes, I would suggest sizing up a 1/2 size.

This next outfit is smart.  Everything just works together, and the jacket and the bag are now on sale!

The jacket is a gorgeous multi-color tweed, and it just went 40% OFF.  It gives me Coco Chanel vibes, and I’m totally smitten with the color combo and the fringe.  It’s sophisticated and classic, and it definitely has a vintage feel as well.  I sized up to a medium, which I often do in jackets, but there was a little too much extra room.  I would suggest to just stick to your regular size.

The top is a swingy fit, and now it’s 50% OFF!  It’s part linen, but it doesn’t seem to wrinkle like typical linen, which is probably due to the rayon blend.  It has pretty little gathers at the neckline and some nice open lattice detail down both sides (but not open enough that it would require a cami). I went with my regular size small, and it’s still oversized.

Because of the swingy fit, I would recommend only wearing it with skinny pants (even though the model on the site is wearing it with wide legged pants).  The swingy fit on top really does require a more fitted look on the bottom.

It’s a very pretty red, and it comes in white as well.
