My family had THE BEST weekend! We headed to the ranch with one of Carter’s friend’s families and two other boys. We all woke up bright and early on Saturday morning and drove from the ranch to College Station (only a little over an hour drive) to go to the A&M game. If you didn’t watch, it was 30-3 at half time and South Carolina was winning. We were still having a ton of fun, but A&M was absolutely getting crushed.

BUT Y’ALL! A&M somehow pulled off a win and ended up winning 31-30! It was incredible and the atmosphere was truly electric. I’ll share more pics and thoughts on Friday, but here’s one of the boys after the win!

 

NEW AERIE SWEATSHIRT

Okay, Ladies. I’m IN LOVE with this Aerie Oh Snap sweatshirt. I bought this one in store last week (but it was only 20% off at the time), so it’s the only color I got EVEN THOUGH I WANTED TO GET THREE. So now that it’s 30% OFF, I think I’m going to grab it in the cloud wash blue for sure, and probably the playful pink too. Because here’s the deal… 3 colors of the same sweatshirt might seem like overkill, BUT I KNOW ME. And I know I will wear the heck out of all 3 of them.

I got the one below two Fridays ago (in “bright red”), and I’m wearing it as we speak. And if I’m being totally honest, I’ve worn it 4 x in 10 days. I wore it with leggings, I wore it with jeans, and I wore it with joggers (as seen below). But fyi, although this is called “bright red”, it’s not like a Christmas red or an apple red…. it’s kind of like a coral red. I really like the color, just don’t expect like a true red.

I would say it’s a medium weight. It’s lined with a light fleece… so it’s warm, but it’s not too warm, and it’s not bulky at all. But although not bulky, it is an oversized and relaxed fit.

SIZE DOWN for sure. Had I bought it online, I think I would have ordered my regular medium… but I’m wearing an X-SMALL. I’m never an x-small, so seriously, size down at least 1…. but you probably want to size down two full sizes unless you want it really oversized (because the x-small is still roomy on me).

I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

I think this baby deserves MUST HAVE STATUS.

I did order these slides for myself yesterday. (I also ordered these UGGs for myself last week.) I want to compare the UGGs to the Aerie version because the price point is wildly different (we’re talking $100 difference!).

I’m hoping I love the Aerie ones so I can save all of us some money! I’ll make sure to review them for y’all (hopefully by Friday).

LOFT FINDS

I haven’t shopped at LOFT for a bit, but I found 4 great sweaters recently, and they are all currently 40% OFF!

This colorblock sweater is lightweight, fits great, and is a little bit luxe. As far as sweaters go, it’s thin and a little bit fitted. I happen to like all kinds of sweaters, and I definitely have room in my closet for a dressy sweater like this. I love it worn casually with jeans, but it would also like great with a nice pair of slacks or a pencil skirt. For size reference, I wear a medium.

Also, this sweater is thin enough that it would be a great choice to layer under a blazer or a military jacket of some sort.

Brown is a big color this fall, and this “ice espresso” fits the bill. Sadly, the brown is only available in a couple of remaining sizes, but the beautiful neutral “mushroom heather” still looks well stocked across most sizes. And I actually think the mushroom heather is a perfect neutral that would be a great basic in everybody’s closet.

The collar is big and oversized and I love it. It can of course be worn over a t-shirt, but I really like it worn on its own too. Click HERE to see the mushroom heather worn over a cream lacy cami. So pretty!

This fuzzy cable sweater is soft, thick, and a chunky knit. It’s a relaxed fit and a little bit boxy, so if you like a figure conscious sweater, this isn’t it. I like the fit and feel, and this cream color is a true cream (and doesn’t lean yellow). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I would prefer a small.

This also comes in a very pretty wine color.

This purple is so fun, but it’s sold out. I’m still highlighting the sweater though because I love the fit and weight, and it is still available in both in citron and a neutral. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It is a relaxed fit, so size down if between sizes.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

In case you haven’t yet seen Friday’s post, the Nordstrom sale is still going down…

I own and love the #1 exposed seam sweater (comes in tons of colors) and the boatneck sweater in both neutral and red. They are both closet staples for me! (The #1 sweater is a more relaxed fit and a bit warmer. The #3 sweater can be dressed up or down, but it’s on the thinner side and it’s a bit more fitted, so it leans a little dressier. I wear a small in both, so I think they both run a bit large. The #8 mascara primer is a product that I’ve sworn by for years now! This set would make a great gift.

My friend Kasey grabbed the Tory Burch boots last time I posted them and loves them. Says they are very comfy for a bootie (even with all day wear she was ok), and she said she got tons of compliments on them. They’re very chic.

And I just ordered the #9 Zella quilted packable jacket for myself. I tried it on in store last week and loved it, but I didn’t get it for some reason. This sale was just the push I needed. 🙂 I would suggest sizing down. The small was plenty roomy on me. This would be a great gift.

OH! And I ordered the #15 tipped crewneck sweater (in navy tipped with pink) for myself earlier this week, and I tried it on this morning AND LOVE IT. Size down for sure. I got the small and it’s still quite roomy, but I like it that way! This would be a great gift too!
