It’s Monday, y’all.
So that’s the bad news. Haha!
The good news is that I have some really fun items to share with y’all today.
If you have a case of the Mondays, maybe this post will help!
A PERFECT TEE FOR NOW AND LATER
I think it’s just fabulous. I love the warm muted neutral colors of this one, the pattern is lots of fun, and I think the subtle pleated sleeves are adorable. This shirt looks great with denim shorts (seen below), but it truly is the PERFECT fall tee. It’s going to look awesome with dark wash denim or black jeans and booties! I’ll prove it to you in just a second.
The small was too tight on me in the chest, so I grabbed a medium. If you’re long waisted, this tee might not work for you, but it’s plenty long for me to still easily do a half tuck.
I showed the above tee a couple of weeks ago and I got several questions wondering if I’d seen the olive tee in person. Well, here it is! It’s fabulous too.
Don’t make me pick a favorite. I cannot.
And just to make my point, here’s the tee styled for Fall! The jeans and the booties are part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. If you’re not a cardholder and haven’t been able to shop yet, EVERYBODY can shop on Wednesday!
And here’s the olive again. It’s really good, right?
NEW HIGHLIGHTS FOR Top 25 Amazon Finds
Did you see my Top 25 Amazon post last week? If you didn’t, I would love it if you popped over to see it right now! After the collage I rounded up pictures of me in everything to give you a really good look at what I truly love from Amazon. The post took a sweet forever and I was VERY thoughtful about the list, so I would love it if you would go check it out!
- sport jacket / 2. denim jacket / 3. popover / 4. leopard cardigan / 5. split hem tunic tee / 6. sheets / 7. 360 degree beauty organizer / 8. grocery totes / 9. hangers / 10. sunglasses / 11. Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Brush / 12. Fake Bake self tanner / 13. turquoise wrap bracelet / 14. pave huggie earrings / 15. undies / 16. 2 pack of tees / 17. puff sleeve dress / 18. mules with gold buckle / 19. cognac strappy sandals / 20. mesh sneakers / 21. leggings / 22. super soft cardi / 23. v neck sweater / 24. fleece sweatshirt / 25. night shirt
I ordered some of the above items in new colors and wanted to show them off today!
The popover (#3) made the list because everybody loved the red and white striped one I got several months ago. I put the the navy one in the collage above because the red one was sold out, and because I had ordered the navy one to try out! Well, it arrived. And it’s SO GOOD. It’s great with denim shorts, but will be great with jeans too.
My favorite way to wear it is to leave the top 2 buttons open and casually cuff the sleeves up 2 cuffs. This is a great shirt, and my newest addition is the stripe seen in the above collage. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, which is most often true to size for me with shirts that have buttons and/or no give in the chest.
I LOVE the beaded earrings too. They are an amazing deal at under $15, light as a feather, and come in several color options. I’m wearing the turquoise, but I also have them in “yellow”, which is actually a beautiful multicolor option.
And my favorite denim shorts are BACK IN STOCK! True to size.
I ordered this color combo popover too, and it’s cute, but I like the one above better. I’m keeping the navy striped, but still wanted y’all to see this option as well.
And here’s a close up of the sandals I’m wearing above. #19 on the collage.
This puff sleeve dress is #17 in the collage above. I originally showed it to you in the dalmation print, but it sold out immediately, so I wanted to order this navy stripe to give you another choice.
The dress is freaking adorable and it’s crazy soft with a great little puff sleeve. For size reference, I’m wearing the small. It also comes in a white and black stripe, a solid black, and a handful of other choices.
Soooo many readers have already purchased this dress and are singing it’s praises. I love it when y’all confirm my love for something. This dress is so good.
Lots of you are saying it’s great for the office, and a ton of teachers have said it’s perfect for school.
Here’s what I know, it’s also perfect for home! It feels like a nightgown.
A COUPLE MORE DRESSES
I’ve got a couple of more dresses for you.
This one is lots of fun with the muted rainbow stripes and the puffy sleeves. As you can see, it can be worn off the shoulder (on the left) or on the shoulder (on the right).
Online says it’s true to size, but I disagree. I would recommend sizing WAY down in this dress. I’m in the x-small here, but I think the xx-small would be better, and I’m in no way an xx-small. I was going to order the xx-small and wait to show it to you then, but I noticed it was on sale, so I decided to go ahead and show it today.
And the last dress of the night, this sleeveless maxi dress from Amazon in a great Fall color. It comes in 13 color choices, and it’s the same dress I’ve shown in a black and white stripe before. It’s a great dress from home, for running around town, for the office, and it’s the perfect dress for travel. I’m wearing a small.
Y’all know I love a great denim jacket and have several already, but when my friends at Social Threads reached out to see if anything interested me, I knew immediately I wanted to try this jacket! I’ve had several requests for an oversized boyfriend jacket, and I’ve tried a couple, but I haven’t liked the ones I’ve tried. They’ve both been wayyyyyyyyyy oversized and just not “me” at all.
This jacket is slightly oversized, so it gives the boyfriend look, without looking way too big and just sloppy. I’m wearing a medium.
See? Perfectly oversized for those of you that are looking for that.
I wanted to show you the dress without the jacket as well. I won’t wear it without a jacket over it, but I know some of you will!
I love Judith March hats, and this one is such a great message, especially for 2020.
When I posted about my Amazon hangers last week on the blog and over the weekend on social, I got lots of closet love (thank you!) and closet questions.
Most of the questions centered around my earring holders.
I’ve had 1 of them for over a year now, but I’d never posted about it because it’s so dang expensive.
But here’s the deal, after living with it for over a year, I added a 2nd one. BECAUSE IT’S WORTH IT. They are obviously functional (they hold 12 pairs of earrings), but they are also quite beautiful! The base is clear lucite and ver sturdy, and the “ladder” is antique brass (also comes in silver and rose gold).
Click HERE for my earring holders from Kendra Scott. I really do think they are stunning and would highly recommend them, but I understand they are crazy expensive. Because of the price, I went on a search over on Amazon and found THIS option that is much more affordable!
This large jewelry box is quite an investment, BUT IT IS STUNNING. And it holds soooooooooooo much jewelry. Keep in mind, I have crazy amounts of jewelry because I’ve been blogging for 8 years now. And a girl can accumulate a lot of jewelry over that time period. I sure do love displaying it and keeping it all organized so nicely.
Click HERE for a $21 option from Amazon. It’s not nearly as large (or as fancy), but it will get the job done and has fantastic reviews!
Click HERE for the NEST fragrance diffusers I get every year in the Anniversary Sale.
And last but not least, I needed to make sure y’all know about the Sephora Sale is happening right now. If you are an Insider, you can use the code WELCOMEBACK for $15 OFF of your $75 purchase or $20 OFF your $100 purchase.
I was out of a couple of my staples, so I grabbed the Glow Screen and another lip mask to take advantage of the sale. The Glow Screen provides a hint of color and a nice healthy glow. I’m obsessed with it. I love that it has SPF, I love the color and subtle glow it gives, and I plan on wearing it all year long. I’m so addicted to the lip mask that I cannot go to bed without it. One stays in my bathroom, and one stays on my bedside table.
And just FYI, about 3 weeks ago I grabbed this product to target dark spots because the reviews convinced me. Seriously, if you struggle with dark spots, go check out the reviews. I’m about 2 weeks in, and y’all, I’m feeling pretty dang good. I also got this mascara, and so far I love it. If you know me, you know I’ve NEVER found a mascara that I really love, but this one is really good and I have zero complaints so far. I really like the wand, it goes on easily, it lengthens and separates my lashes, and it doesn’t flake throughout the day. Right now I’m a big fan.
That’s all for today! See you back here on Wednesday!
