Before we get started today, there are hundreds of new markdowns that hit Nordstrom this morning. I went through them this morning and found some of the best ones: these drusy bar earrings from Kendra Scott (40% OFF), the BP notched booties in several colors (40% OFF), some Zella high waisted leggings (33-40% OFF), my dressy black and floral top that I wore to Broadway this past weekend (25% OFF), one of my favorite v neck sweaters is 40% OFF (I have it in red and black from last year, and this year I bought it in the shitake), and my favorite sneakers from this year are 25% OFF!

Okay, girls. Today is the day.
Mark it down.
Today is the day I finally convince you to try these boot cut jeans if you haven’t already.
Go ahead and throw caution to the wind, put them in your dang cart, and press “purchase”.
I mean, it’s free shipping and free returns….and Nordstrom provides you with a label in the box if you want to ship them back for free…so there is literally NO RISK. And I’m telling you, you aren’t going to send them back. But at least you will have the peace of mind that you can do so FOR FREE (and easily) if you so choose. But you won’t.
In fact, I would bet that these jeans end up being a gateway jean for you to the Wit and Wisdom brand. And no, this isn’t a sponsored post. And for those of you that aren’t familiar, it’s not just me that loves these jeans and the brand. I’ve heard over and over again from readers that once they buy any pair of jeans from the brand, they immediately buy more.
Here’s what I predict is going to happen: Because I’m personally so PASSIONATE about this brand, your curiosity will be peeked, and you will decide to give a pair of jeans a try.
You will receive them.
You will put them on and check yourself out in the mirror.
You will realllllllllly like what you see.
And then you will immediately hop back online and figure out what other styles you want to order from the same maker.
I truly do have MANY readers who say that Wit and Wisdom jeans are the only jeans they own. Now, y’all know I love several different brands of jeans (I’m looking at you AG, Kut from the Kloth, Articles of Society, and most recently my Sam Edelman jeans!), but Wit and Wisdom are definitely some of my favorites. And you really do have to try them to understand what we’re talking about.
These are jeans for real women.
The comfort level is unbelievable, they hold their shape, they launder perfectly, AND THEY JUST MAKE YOU FEEL GREAT. They are mostly mid rise, they stay in place, and they don’t sag. UM, YES PLEASE.
It’s like I’m the mayor of Wit and Wisdom town.
So, you can find tons of Wit and Wisdom styles HERE (and all of their plus size options HERE), but today I’m going to focus on my beloved Itty Bitty Boot Cut Jeans. I got my first pair a little over 2 years ago I think, but at the time, although I loved the fit of the jeans, I didn’t love that the stitching was white. (If you’re a long time reader, maybe you remember the post where I showed you how I literally colored the stitching with a black Sharpie!?!) Well, they fixed the stitching problem last year, and now the jeans are perfect.
I’ve got 4 outfits for you today, all styled with my much adored Itty Bitty Boot Cut Jeans!
OUTFIT #1: Striped Crew Neck Sweater and Boot Cut Jeans
Take a quick look, and tell me I don’t look taller and skinnier. These jeans elongate my legs and give the appearance of like 2 extra inches in height! And they suck me in, while still allowing me to breathe! It’s a thing of wonder, y’all.
sweater / earrings / itty bitty boot cut jeans / leopard belt / taupe bootie option
I mean. Look how long my legs look! At almost 5’4″, I wear a regular size 4 in these jeans (if between sizes, size down). The petites were way too short. I do have to wear them with heeled booties, but that just helps contribute to the long leg illusion.
If you look at the picture below, this is exactly where I like the hem of my boot cut jeans to fall. I don’t want the jeans dragging the floor, but showing too much shoe will ruin the elongating effect that’s happening! And I’m telling you, you don’t want to mess with the magic of these jeans.
I love wearing bright and colorful clothes when it’s cold and dreary outside, and heaven knows it’s been dreary in my neck of the woods lately. This sweater has brought a little bit of sunshine to the gloomy days for sure. You’ll also be seeing it in my Friday post where I recap What I Wore for my Girl’s Trip to New York!
The sweater is super soft, and can be styled up or down. I’ve worn it with ankle jeans and sneakers for a much more casual look, and I love it dressed up a bit here with the boot cut jeans and heeled booties. Click HERE to see it on me with skinny jeans and OTK boots. I sized up to a medium for some extra room in the chest, and I’m glad I did.
I absolutely love this sweater. It’s expensive, but it’s cashmere! I know I’ll wear it for years to come.

There’s also a much less expensive striped colorful sweater you can find HERE. I love the colors on this one too, and I of course love the chenille.
And I’m so thrilled to be able to highlight that the jeans also come in plus size!

OUTFIT #2: White Tee, Cable Cardi, and Boot cut Jeans
Remember when I showed this sweater with the neck all buttoned up on Friday? It’s SO freaking chic, if I do say so myself. Ha! (To see me wearing it buttoned up with skinny jeans, click HERE.)
This entire look felt very classic to me, and I loved all the neutrals.
The arrow stack necklace is adjustable from 18 1/2″ – 37 1/2″, and it’s one of those necklaces that’s a great basic that will go with lots of different looks (both dressy and casual).

I wanted to wear cognac booties with this look, but the heel was a little short for the jeans to hit exactly where I wanted them to fall. I wore them anyway, but in a perfect world the booties would have a higher heel.

OUTFIT #3: White Tee, Color Block Cardi and Boot cut Jeans
When I first saw this cardi, I knew I would get a lot of use out of it. And boy was I right. It goes with black jeans, grey jeans, and regular ol’ blue jeans.
white scoop neck tee / color block cardi / black pendent necklace / earrings / itty bitty boot cut jeans / leopard belt / taupe bootie option/ cognac tote
And the cognac stripe in the sweater matches the cognac tote near perfectly!
And I’ve got some GREAT NEWS!!! For the next 48 hours, Accessory Concierge has agreed to extend the code for the totes! YOU CAN STILL GET THE TOTES FOR $25 with the code TOTE2018 (reg. $58)!!! If you didn’t see Friday’s post, you have to go check it out right now. I thoroughly review the totes and give styling ideas for all 5 colors available.
I’ll also go and save the tote instastories to my highlights at some point today (that I originally published on Friday). Seeing them “in real life” helps you get a better feel for the color of the totes, and I answer lots of questions I’ve received about the totes. One additional question that I didn’t answer in the stories is that the handles are 23″ long, so they definitely fit comfortably over your shoulder.

OUTFIT #4: BLUSH CARDI AND A PUTTY BAG
This cocoon cardi comes in 9 total colors and has near perfect reviews. I’m wearing the pink adobe color here, but I also love the “brown spice” and the “red grape” for fall. For size reference, I’m wearing an x-small, so I would suggest sizing down.
white scoop neck tee /blush cocoon cardigan (plus size cardigan)/ necklace/ earrings / itty bitty boot cut jeans / leopard belt / taupe bootie optio / putty tote
This putty tote is much more taupe than grey, which several people did ask over the weekend. (I think the color is more true with my pictures than it is on the A.C. website.) And remember, you can head to insastories at some point today for my reviews of the bag.
DON’T FORGET! The code TOTE2018 will get you this tote for ONLY $25 ! Sure, go ahead and treat yourself. But also consider knocking several names off your Christmas list!
The jeans need to be mentioned one more time. Because LONG AND LEAN, ladies.
Long. And. Lean.
The necklace is great too. It’s adjustable, so it can go from 20″ to 34″ long. And it comes in both gold and silver.

Leave your thoughts on boot cut jeans in the comments!
OR, leave your thoughts on the Wit and Wisdom brand in the comments. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I was singing the praises of their black skinny jeans! I’m telling you, I’m one of the brand’s biggest fans.
I know that so many of you have more than 1 pair, so tell me your favorite pair!
Erika Slaughter says
I have a pair and they’re super comfy! I think my favorite thing about them is the waistband. It’s more comfortable than other jeans-by far!
Shay Shull says
Legs for DAAAAAAAAYS! Whoa! Those jeans are so cute on you!!
Jennifer Davis says
“I’ve heard over and over again from readers that once they buy any pair of jeans from the brand, they immediately buy more.” ~ This is so true! They are comfortable and are flattering.
Narci says
That cable knit cardigan is darling! And those jeans look gorgeous!
Heather says
You said the petite jeans were too short on you – I’m 5’1″ so I’m thinking the petites might be the way to go for me. Thoughts??
Sheaffer says
Hi, Heather! I think petite would be great on those probably 5’2″ and under! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
April says
I love my Wit & Wisdom jeans. And these boot cut were my first pair. I only wish they came in ‘long’, at 5’9” I can’t wear them with heeled booties. But I still love them and have definitely added more styles to my closet. I finally ordered the cognac tote this morning. Thanks for always sharing your finds! My closet is definitely more stylish!
Sheaffer says
Hi, April! I wish they came in long too!!!!!!!!! Maybe they’ll see this and listen! 🙂 xoxo, Sheaffer
Lim says
I love Wit and Wisdom jeans but the ittty bitty boot cut were horribly unflattering on me. I felt like I was wearing bell bottoms from the 70’s! I own at least 12 pair of absolution in every other style and live in them! You opened that gateway for me and Inthak you for that!
Sheaffer says
12 pair?!? I think you are the winner!!!! And I’m so happy to hear I introduced you to them! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
At in dallas says
They feel like pajamas. No joke. Soft stretchy pajamas that do not loose their shape! I have the skinny from the anniv sale and plan to get these and a darker wash of skinny.
Sheaffer says
YES!!!! Totally pajama jeans! So glad you love them too! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Jan Fisher says
YES! These jeans are amazing. I finally got on the bandwagon this fall and am sorry I waited so long. I have wit and wisdom skinny jeans but hadn’t tried the boot cut…love! Thanks for the fashion advice as always Sheaffer!
Laurie S says
You look fabulous in all your outfits. I love bootcut jeans! It’s the cut that fits and flatters me the best.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Laurie! They really are incredibly flattering! People who haven’t tried boot cut jeans really need to at least give them a try! xoxo, Sheaffer 😉
Christina says
So so so cute!! Those jeans look amazing on you!
Sheaffer says
Thanks, Christina! You’re so sweet! They really are magic jeans! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Allyson Hodge says
These jeans look awesome on you! I’m going to have to wait until they are on sale to purchase, but thanks for recommending! I love your blog and own several things you have recommended.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Allyson! I will DEFINITELY let y’all know if I ever see them on sale! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
T says
I really want to try these, but I’m 5″10 with long legs, so I’m guessing they will be too short for me! Any recommendations for tall girls?
Sheaffer says
Can some tall girls leave some recs? I think I’ve heard that Paige boot cut jeans are good for tall girls?
Danielle D says
Sheaffer,
Thanks to you, I now own over 8 pairs of Wit and Wisdom jeans but who’s counting. 🙂
I am 4’7″ and wear a 2 or 4 petite depending on the cut. I am going to give these boot cut ones a try because you have never steered me wrong. I also just bought the gold and silver hoops you have been suggesting forever and I am in love. Thanks for all your recommendations!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Danielle! YES! The Gorjana hoops are my favorites! Been wearing them at least 3 times a week for about 5 years now! Sounds like you are just as obsessed with the brand as I am, which I of course love. xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Meredith says
I so wanted those jeans and did order them but unfortunately had to send them back. I am 5’8” and have very long legs so they were too short! No long lengths ? but I am eventually going to try another style if they are longer. I need those jeans!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Meredith! I’m reallllllllly hoping they start making “tall” options soon! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Jessica says
What brand is your bracelet??
Sheaffer says
Hi, Jessica! I have it linked right above the 2nd picture in the cream sweater! Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
stephanie says
Will you have a code for the Sims necklace for the holidays? Thinking it will make the perfect teacher gift this year!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Stephanie! I’m sorry to say I won’t. 🙁 I will have another deal through A.C. that I’m working on for the holidays! Stay tuned! xoxo
Nicole says
I love be the indigo colored itty bitty bootcut! I wish they had the black in this same style! See what you can do to influence this!!
Sheaffer says
Nicole! They do!!!! Search “Wit and Wisdom black itty bitty boot cut” on the Nordstrom site! Yipeeeeeeeeee! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Nicole says
There are so few sizes on the website!! They need to get more sizes!;)
Sheaffer says
Hi, Nicole! Of the itty bitty boot cut jeans? I just looked and it’s showing 00, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 in regular sizes! Tell me what you’re looking for and what size! xoxo, Sheaffer
Nicole says
My indigo are a 10P. I want the same in black. Cannot find on website. I’ve been watching for weeks! Really love these jeans though.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Nicole! If you e-mail me at pinteresttoldmeto@yahoo.com, I will send you the link for the ones I see! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Nicole says
Hi Sheaffer,
I bought the bootcut jeans during the anniversary sale but haven’t worn them yet, need heels! I’m 5’2” and bought the regulars. What size heel are you wearing in the taupe booties? Are the ones you linked the exact ones you’re wearing? If so, are they comfortable?
Can’t wait to look long and lean! 🙂
Sheaffer says
Hi, Nicole! The heeled booties are from last year, so they are sold out. 🙁 So sorry!
Effie Wong says
I have several pair and am wearing the exact bootcut jeans now! I love the waistband and it’s very comfy, perfect for my business casual at work. Thanks for your recommendation.
Marsha says
I purchased the “ blingy bracelets” during the Anniversary Sale per your recommendation. I love them. I purchased both the rose gold and silver, and they are some of my favorite bracelets i’ve ever purchased. I receive lots of compliments on them. Thanks for the recommendation!
Sheaffer says
Sooooo happy to hear that, Marsha! I was on a girl’s trip this past weekend, and everybody loved them their too! They really are so pretty and go with everything! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Arlene says
Hey! On the ‘Everyday’ V-Neck Sweater TROUVÉ – what size do you wear? Thanks so much! And I LOVE my Wit & WIsdom Itty Bitty bootcuts thanks to your rec!!!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Arlene! I wear my regular size small. It’s definitely oversized, but I’ve never tried on the small to see how it fits. I think it would be too short, so I’m happy with my regular small. xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Aimee Patrick says
I credit you and your your friend Cassie for turning me onto Wit & wisdom jeans ! Love the boot cut ones and the black skinny ! Great price , they are so comfy ! Also have a pair of pale pink fringe hem articles of Society jeans you recommended that everyone comments on . I tell my friends to follow you !
Sheaffer says
Thank you, Aimee! Telling friends to follow me is the biggest compliment, and I appreciate the referral so much! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Linda Hewing says
Oh dear, I ordered theJean’s, but I’m 5’9 with a very long torso, but normal length inseam for my height, so I’m worried they will be too short. On a separate note, are you going to get a heads up on what Nordstrom is going to put on sale for Black Friday??
Sheaffer says
Maybe they’ll work with flats, depending on your leg length!?! No heads up on Black Friday items. So sorry! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Nancy Crain says
I have these jeans in 2 colors, including the bootcut! Everything you wrote about them is true, but I will add one thing: my husband Erv, gave me a huge compliment when I put them on to wear out s couple days ago.
By the way, they wash and dry like a dream!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Nancy! I LOVE this! So glad you AND ERV love them!!!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Jeni says
You look so adorable! Love it paired with the cream cardigan.
Cynthia Bras Toriumi says
Alright… Imma spring for these jeans even though I love my Kut from the Kloth. And at 5’4″, I think I’ll go regular instead of petite. Anywho, on the Color Block Cardi, how does that run? I see and XL = 12, and I usually think of an XL as a 16, maybe 14. What do you think? I need a true XL because I love gravy. :)C
Sheaffer says
Hi, Cynthia! I think it runs a touch on the small side, so I’m not sure it would work. And I LOVE that you love gravy. I lol’d AND CONCUR. xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
JENNIFER SELLERS says
Hi! Just wondering what Louis bag you are carrying? Absolutely love that it has a zipper! Thanks, Jen
Sheaffer says
Hi, Jennifer! I think it’s called The Sully! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
JENNIFER SELLERS says
Thank you so much!!! XO!
kristin stevenson says
I believe you posted something about the add on shoulder strap to your LV handbag but I can not find it now. Could you please tell me where to get one? I love it and need something similar for mine.
Thank you.
