FAVORITE #1:  
Okay girls. It’s time. 
The bra I’ve been talking about for over a year now was finally named a MUST HAVE on Wednesday (on facebook).

I mean, I wear it every single day, so of course it’s a must have! I decided to finally name it this week because it’s 25% OFF (and I have no idea how long this price will last)!!!! 
I think this bra is true to size. It’s cups are soft and smooth and don’t show through anything. AND OH MY WORD IS IT COMFY. And it makes your boobs look perky (but isn’t a push up bra at all). I had never spent a lot of money on a bra until this one, and I am now a firm believer in the power of a good bra!

He is sweet as can be, but he is also super silly and just a ton of fun.

FAVORITE #3:  Wit and Wonder
Last year I highlighted gifts from the Wit and Wonder store at Nordstrom, so I was so excited when they asked me to do it again this year!
The gifts in this line are bright, happy, whimsical, fun, and affordable!  What’s not to love?!?

I’m dying over the ice cream pint koozie.  I think it’s hysterical.  And the party trivia box would be so much fun to break out when sitting around with family over the holidays.  My sister in law would LOVE the vintage coloring book, and the selfies i-phone case is pretty much made for me.  😉

This year I’ve already ordered two things from their line.

Look how cute THIS mug is.
Stuff it with crinkle paper and a gift card, and you have a REALLY nice gift for a teacher, a friend, or anybody really!

I think this makes an EXCELLENT stocking stuffer for anybody, but especially for the men in your lives (who are so hard to buy for)!  It has a 5 foot cord, four outlets, and two USB ports for charging all your devices.
I mean, COME ON!  That’s a good present (and a great deal at $17.95)!
Carter was actually super excited about it!  He kept on saying “it’s so easy and cool.”
And the answer is yes.  He’s wearing my blardigan.  He will actually take it off my body to put it on his.  And like any good mama would, I let him.  😉

FAVORITE #5:  Nordstrom Fall Clearance


There are still lots of great items in stock at the fall clearance sale (that ends Sunday).
Do you remember Elizabeth?  I meet Elizabeth while shopping with Penny (the Special Mama giveaway winner) at the Nordstrom Anniversary SAle.
She was wearing the Michael Kors trench (NOW 33% OFF) that Penny had tried on (and I had tried on), and we all loved it!  And it comes in red too!

I’m wearing an x-small, so I would definitely suggest sizing down at least 1 size.  This coat runs really big.

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium because it was the smallest available in store.  Not sure if I would need a small or an x-small.
I MEAN…COME ON….THIS COAT IS DARLING.

I’m wearing a small.  It’s loose and flowy, and that’s how I wanted it!

I love everything about this pullover and it’s still being price-matched as well!
 IT. IS. AWESOME.
It’s loose and flowy (without being HUGE or tent-like), and I love the “heathered” look.  The big cowl neck makes it interesting and unique, but it’s not overwhelming at all.  I have no doubt that it’s going to be an item that I reach for again and again all fall and winter long. 
 It’s just so cozy (but still really cute)!
For size reference, I’m wearing an x-small/small.
It comes in this grey color that I’m wearing, a lavendar (that looks like a really light grey online), and a denim (that seems to be a dark blue).

I couldn’t find it online, but this Advent Calendar is at Target.
And it’s DARLING.

FAVORITE #9:  Veteran’s Day Moment
Listen to this sweet story about my sweet boy, because it is my absolute favorite moment from the week.  Actually, it’s one of my favorite moments ever.
On Tuesday afternoon he got in the car and started talking about how he wanted to make something for our neighbor, Mr. Eric.
Mr. Eric is in the military, and he has deployed twice since he became our neighbor a little over a year ago.  Carter thinks he is just the coolest, and he wanted to do something for him for Veteran’s Day. So, he drew him a picture of him “in his uniform” and thought of lots of details he needed to include, right down to his “spikey hair in front” (that you can’t see because of the hat).
And here’s the sweetest part.  He told me he wanted to give him 5 dollars to say Thank You, and he wanted to give him his own money.  He didn’t have a 5 dollar bill in his piggy bank, but he did have a $10 bill.  And he said “That’s okay.  I want to give him the $10 so
 I can show him I’m even more thankful.”  

And I’m so thankful that he’s had the opportunity (through knowing Eric and his family) to begin to understand and appreciate the sacrifices that these service men and their families make on our behalf.
Because we all know that freedom isn’t free.

We are blessed to know Eric, Shara, and their sweet little girl Isla!
THANK YOU ERIC FOR YOUR SERVICE!
Mr. Eric posted Carter’s gesture on his facebook wall, and Carter could not have been more proud when I showed him what Eric had posted and read what he wrote.
This is what Eric said:
Happy Veterans Day to all the men and women who have served our country so valiantly past, present and future. I just wanted to share a picture that means so much to me. Our neighbors Chris and Sheaffer have a truly patriotic young man in the family, their son Carter. Attached is a drawing Carter did for me for Veterans Day. He got my weapon and knife just right, (and payed special attention to my HAIR) but what is more touching is the $10 dollars he gave me (from his own piggy bank no less) just to say THANKS!!!!
This was truly something special that made me realize all members of the military services have a duty to ALL AMERICANS both young and old. Although we will never be looked at like the professional athletes that so many hold on a pedestal or other “heroes” we have in this day in age. Members of our Armed Services must remain steadfast and hold true to the oath we ALL TOOK, so that young boys and girls like Carter Sims have the opportunity to live in the best country on the planet.
WELL SAID ERIC!
AND THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR VETERANS!

    Just ordered 4 of those USB outlet things…they are perfect for the guest room! And, for stocking stuffers for my son and son-in-law! I always get great ideas from your blog Sheaffer! And, the Natori bra…yes please…I have 2 from last year when you posted about them and I love them! AND…that cute Carter, just adorable! You should be so proud of that little boy and his kind heart

    As a military spouse I just have to say what an absolute precious thing your little boy did for your neighbor Eric! Brought tears to my eyes. What amazing parents he must have that help teach him the importance of Veteran's Day and military service members! Love love love your blog!

    Hi Sheaffer! I just read today's post, and was so excited to see my Mom (Elizabeth) on here wearing her Michael Kors trench.     Sheaffer- I am sure that you will be doing posts on Black Friday/ Cyber Monday. Do you know if Nordstrom is doing any special deals? I have two items on my Wish List that I am debating on getting now or during that time…

      Hi Becky! I'm pretty sure there will be some markdowns, but I have no idea what those might be! The good news is with Nordstrom, they will price adjust within 2 weeks! So you could always buy now (before the chaos) and then just call in for a price adjustment afterwards if what you bought happens to go on sale! Hope this helps Becky! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
