GETTING READY FOR SPRING
Okay, so here’s the deal. It’s VERY DEFINITELY still sweater weather in my neck of the woods. HOWEVER, I’m already looking forward to spring, and I’ve got some great items today that are perfect for warmer weather.
I’m guessing today’s items will all be long gone come spring, so if you like what you see, get while the gettin’ is good!
HOW CUTE IS THIS mixed media top. It’s got some nautical vibes with the stripes and the cutest little chambray ruffle puff sleeves you ever did see. The body is a thick knit, and it’s a structured and slightly boxy silhouette. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I love it with the light denim that matches the sleeves, but it will also be adorable with white denim.
Use the code STMT10 for 10% OFF.
Y’all know I’m a sucker for embroidery. This blouse is one of my favorite kind of blouses. Loose, a tiny bit flowy, and just plain pretty.
I love the colors, the elasticized cuffs of the sleeves, and of course the colorful embroidered flowers. Leave it out, or do a 1/2 tuck, whatever!
Use the code STMT10 for 10% OFF.
Both of the above tops look great with white denim too! Again, use the code STMT10 for 10% OFF the tops.
I first showed you these white boot cut jeans last year, and I’m still wearing the heck out of them and still loving them. They are stretchy, comfy, and flattering as all get out. As I say every single time, you will look taller and skinnier than you already are when you put these babies on. 😉 Make sure you size down in these, I’m wearing a 2.
COME! ON! SPRING!
I’ll also be wearing this blouse with cut-offs alllllllll summer long.
This multi-tweed crewneck sweater is also from Social Threads, so you can use the STMT10 for 10% OFF it as well.
I love the colors, I love the texture, and I love the fit. It’s loose and slightly cropped. This is a great sweater that I’ll actually start wearing now, I’ll just pair a jacket with it. But the colors and weight will allow me to wear it all the way into spring as well. For size reference, this is a medium.
Now let’s talk about the jeans. These aren’t new to me. I loved them last year, and I love them this year. To me, they are like if a skinny jean and a straight jean had a baby. And they have the ‘Ab’solution technology that slims, shapes and lifts in all the right places!
They aren’t super fitted on the calf or around the ankle, and the ankle has a little split on the side. They are great with sneakers, sandals, booties, flats, wedges, whatever! These are great for spring and summer because I love to have just a tiny bit of ankle showing! I do suggest sizing down. I’m wearing a size 2. THESE ARE AWESOME JEANS. They have the perfect amount of stretch.
And how cute and functional is this belt bag! It’s from Amazon and just under $30. It comes in several color options, and I’m wearing the grey.
I showed this outfit with a pink striped tee on Wednesday, but today I’m showing it with a plain white tee.
This is an outfit that should definitely be one of your spring uniforms. An outfit that is a total no-brainer to put on and feel cute!
This denim jacket is from Kut from the Kloth, y’all. And if you’re an OG follower of this blog, you might remember that the very first item that I ever named a MUST HAVE was a Kut from the Kloth denim jacket almost 10 years ago now! Kut really knows how to make a denim jacket. This one has a bit more structure than other denim jackets I’ve recently highlighted in the past, but I think it will soften up after some washings. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
I’m so happy to have these camo pants in my closet. Just like the jeans, they too have the ‘Ab’solution technology that holds you in while still allowing you to breathe. You’ll be comfy and you’ll feel skinny. Two of my favorite things. For size reference, I’m wearing a 4.
This striped tee is adorable. I LOVE THE SLEEVES. But here’s the deal, the sleeves are aggressively puffy. Normally I don’t like an aggressively puffy sleeve, but I’m all in with this shirt. It’s a thicker knit, it’s got some stretch to it, and I really love the overall fit. This isn’t a top that you would want to layer a cardi or denim jacket over because I’m telling you, the sleeves will mess up the look and the lines of whatever you’re trying to layer on top. But on it’s own? Fabulous. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
I LOVE a long-sleeved lightweight spring sweater! I think they are the perfect item to transition between the seasons, and I like to style them just like this… with jeans and sneakers. This sweater caught my eye online, and I ordered it in two colors. For size reference I’m wearing a small. It’s soft, has a subtle boatneck, and the cuffs are ribbed and tight.
And look how great it looks with white denim!
And pairing a jacket on top kinda goes without saying, right? This denim jacket is from Kut from the Kloth, y’all. And if you’re an OG follower of this blog, you might remember that the very first item that I ever named a MUST HAVE was a Kut from the Kloth denim jacket almost 10 years ago now! Kut really knows how to make a denim jacket. This one has a bit more structure than other denim jackets I’ve recently highlighted in the past, but I think it will soften up after some washings. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
And here’s the same sweater, but with the red stripe.
I want to apologize in advance for showing y’all this dress and not applying self-tanner before I took the pictures ;)…
But here’s the deal, I didn’t have the time (or desire) to apply the self-tanner the other day. Still, I knew I had to show you the dress asap, because Madewell dresses like this ALWAYS sell out before the season. I’ve learned the hard way, so I went ahead and grabbed it, even though it’s going to be a bit before I can wear it. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
I always love getting feedback from y’all, and sometimes there are items that stand out as getting TONS of compliments from y’all!
As y’alls orders started arriving for this cardigan, the messages started pouring in. I showed the cardigan in pink and red a couple of weeks ago, but I also own it in black, khaki, and the neon yellow color. It’s a great quality cardigan and an incredible deal, and I’m so glad y’all are loving it as much as I do!! Most of you said you ended up buying it in at least 1 more color. Clearly I get it. 😉
Here’s what I had to say about them…
This v-neck cardigan is truly one of the best deals on Amazon. I can’t even tell you how many colors I own it in, but it’s probably not enough. IT’S AN AWESOME CARDI. It comes in a crew neck version too, but I prefer the v-neck. I like the fit of the medium.
And here it is in pink! I love it so much.

SO comfortable and crazy cute. I’m in love with the colors. They look great with jeans too. And check out the laces. They are like little bungee cords, so you just slip them on and off!
I shared the sneakers on facebook on Wednesday, and I received TONS of great feedback!
READER REVIEWS LEFT ON MY FACEBOOK POST:
Yep! I started wearing these when they gave 50% discounts during the beginning of COVID for healthcare workers. Now I have 4 pairs and refuse to wear a different shoe, especially while working a 12 hour shift in the hospital. – Rebecca S.
I walked around NYC in mine and my feet didn’t hurt. – Amy R.
I work in health care with kids and these are my all day, every day work shoes! I slip my shoes off/on a lot when playing on the floor with babies and love that they slide on without the heal collapsing! – Leah M.
I travel in them! Especially great for Europe when you do a ton of walking! Cute with joggers, shorts, and even a casual dress! – Rachel K.
My husband loves his! All the doctors and nurses in the NICU were wearing them this summer while we were there with our daughter and they raved about how comfortable they are for 12 hour shifts. – Jen
I have these in another color – I get SOOO MANY compliments from the younger people! High school kids tell me they love my shoes! #yesplease
I have a lis franc injury and have been told that I can never go barefoot or wear shoes without support. With that being said… these don’t have the most support. I put my Superfeet inserts in these and they work just fine! Because they don’t “tie,” they don’t offer the most side support. But I have worn these all over New York on a trip and my feet felt great! – Melinda P.
I put miles on mine recently when I toured Israel … they are the BEST – Stacy H.
And those were just some of the comments! Clearly, it’s not just me that loves these shoes!
I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS SWEATER
Okay, I talked above spring sweaters above, and this spring sweater was delivered to my doorstep just yesterday.
I FLIPPING LOVE IT.
It is my idea of spring sweater PERFECTION. I love the colors, the wide stripes, the swingy fit, and the ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem. It’s lightweight, feels great on, and is just the type of sweater I like to wear with ankle jeans and sneakers in the spring. Talk about a spring uniform! I think it looks great for a super casual look with these sneakers we’ve all been obsessing over all week, but it would also look great with a pair of Dolce Vita fashion sneakers. If you want to dress it up, style it with white boot cut jeans and some neutral wedges.
After showing the sweater on facebook last night, there were some questions about the colors of the stripes. I would say the stripes are a vibrant orange and a realllllllly light blush (which I know is hard to read in the below picture). I love the color combo. It’s so fresh!
And how great is the jewelry? I’m in love with the earrings.
They’re to die for.
ATHLEISURE PRETTY MUCH 24/7
It’s been pretty dang cold here, and I had a relatively slow week. It was filled with lots of computer work, some mirror selfies, TONS of carpool driving, and a whole lot of errands. Do you know what that means? I pretty much lived in athleisure.
If you are a neighbor, you’ve got about a 95% chance of seeing me in a variation of this outfit over the next several weeks.
THIS SHERPA IS THE ULTIMATE IN COZY.
Like I honestly don’t think you can get any cozier.
The jacket is ultra-plush and features high-loft sherpa that holds heat and adds softness. It’s made from recycled materials, it has a full-zip with a hidden snap placket, and it has two zippered pockets for your hands.
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think a small would have been fine. It has the shape and fit of a bomber, but it’s a sherpa. IT’S SO CUTE. I’ve reached for it every single day that it’s been cold enough to wear it.
And here I switched out the sherpa for a denim jacket. This is a great look and a perfect travel outfit.
And then I jazzed it up a bit by adding the belt bag. Looks cool, right? 🙂
WEEK IN REVIEW…
That’s it for today, y’all! Have a wonderful weekend with your people!
