So if you remember, last year I did a post with Nordstrom on designer jeans. I tried on a ton from Paige, Hudson, Seven for all Mankind, Joe’s, and the list goes on.
These AG skinny ankle jeans were a clear winner for me last year, AND THEY ARE STILL A WINNER TODAY! In fact, SPOILER ALERT, you are going to see them on Wednesday’s SHOULD HAVE BEEN A MUST HAVE post as well. That’s how much I love and adore these jeans. So when Nordstrom reached out last month to see if I would talk about jeans (which I pretty much do every day anyway!), I talked about THESE (what I consider the best white jeans ever) in Part 1……and THESE are getting highlighted in today’s post (Part 2).
You can find my exact pair HERE, but all of the AG skinny jeans are HERE (with lots of different washes and varying levels of distressing). They are definitely pricey, and believe you me, I might have had a heart palpitation or two when I bought them…..but now I believe in the power of a designer jean. I’m not a jeans snob at all….I still love and constantly wear my Vigoss all the time, and I’m LOVING my new STS flares…. but THESE AG’s are the bomb.
Here’s a simple, but fun look I put together with them for the post!
white top (True to size, I’m wearing a small.)/ earrings / ray-bans / necklace / ag skinny ankle jeans (True to size, I’m wearing a 27.)/ cork wedges (size up a 1/2 size) / clutch from last year, but a fun bright one can be found HERE and a multi-color one HERE / watch / similar bangles
I’m usually pretty casual with my jeans, but I decided to dress them up to show how they would be fun for a party! I mean, somebody hand me a margarita or something! And turn on some tunes! 😉 #iceicebabyalwaysmakemedance #purelyfyi
As you can see, I’m ready to kick up my heels. 😉 I’ve had a lot of questions about THESE WEDGES, and yes… they really are comfy. I’ve heard some reports that they don’t work for people who have wide feet, but I haven’t had any other complaints about them! Lots of readers have and love them! Remember, I recommend sizing up a 1/2 size!

Here’s a close up of the jeans. They have stretch in them and are soft, but the stretch isn’t so much that they don’t hold their shape all day long. Because they totally do. And please notice how they are the perfect length on me to wear with converse, flats, and ankle booties. They’re great to wear with tall boots too, because they are so fitted that you won’t get that annoying bagging at the knees. I’m almost 5’4″, but I have a friend that bought them who is a little over 5’7″, and she loves them as well!
And here’s one of the best things about them: I’ve seriously worn them as many as 5 times between washings, and they still look great on that 5th wear! But when I do finally wash them, they wash beautifully! I typically dry them for like 20 minutes, and then I hang them to dry the rest of the way. Lots of reviewer say they dry them the entire way with great luck….I’m just not that brave. Also, I feel like the distressing has held up really well and hasn’t grown or ripped further. I love my Vigoss, but I will say that the distressing has definitely grown.
And the inside shots for those that prefer them! As you can see, the top is much nicer than a regular ol’ t-shirt. And it comes in black and a red/orange too. And I should have taken a shot from the back, because it buttons all the way from top to bottom! So cute!
And here’s another time I took some shots of all angles of the jeans. I might have pulled a muscle or 2 in my neck when getting the hiney shot, but I felt it was necessary. I really like the pocket placement and design, and I wanted y’all to see them on a non-model hiney. 😉 I know it’s easy to experience some serious sticker shock when looking at the price tag on designer jeans, but you really might want to consider giving them a chance. Because I’m telling you, you will feel like a million bucks, and you will reach for them again and again.
And just because, here’s a shot of the outfit I ran to the mall in last week: the jeans with my navy MUST HAVE shirt! I thought the combo of the navy, pink, and leopard was so fun!

I was the farthest thing from a jean snob but I bought a pair of AG jeans and am hooked. They are my very favorite and I might have talked my sweet hubby into trying a pair. Which is huge for him!!! But he’s hooked as well!! They’re the best!

Any jean options for tall girls? I want to try so many of these but the inseams just aren’t long enough… 🙁
Sheaffer says
Hi Emily! I have a tall friend that’s super stylish! I’ll ask her for recommendations!!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Emily says
That’d be amazing!!!!

Emily, I an 5’9″ (long legs). I have had great luck with Paige and Joe’s. I also really like the Loft Modern Skinny white jeans from Loft.

I have a long-running list of jeans I want to try when I actually get to a Nordstrom’s in Vegas in 2 weeks….all of them are cause of you. I feel like I should do a post called “Sheaffer told me to, so I did”
Alis says
Love the way they look on you, but as a toddler mom I have to ask – how low is the “low-rise?” Are they “play on the floor” proof?? 🙂
Sheaffer says
Hi Alis! That would depend how long waisted you are I guess. They are fine for me to sit on the floor, but I can see how they might not be okay for others. Sorry I’m not more help! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

Those jeans are so cute! I so wish I could get some but I’m just out of their size range. 🙁 I need to lose a few pounds.
I did buy those wedges on your recommendation and they are so cute! I normally wear 8.5-9, so I ordered in a 9. I have wide feet and I find that sizing up to a 9 will usually do the trick, but these were still a bit snug on my toes, so I ordered the 9.5 to try and am waiting for them to be delivered. Hope they work as they are too cute. Just wanted to mention that those with wide feet may want to go ahead and size up a full size.
Angie says
That’s kinda what I did. I am usually a 7 sometimes a 7.5 and ordered the 8. I have a slightly wide foot and this worked for me.

Obviously you are not plus size, but I was wondering if you have any friends/blog friends that are that share their faves like you that you could recommend. Love your style, but your clothes just dont work for me. Nonetheless, I still LOVE your blog and seeing your choices. And I can rock those accessories that you share! 😉
Sheaffer says
Hi Melanie! I don’t know of any blogs to refer you to off the top of my head, but I’ve had several requests to start highlighting more plus size options, so I’m going to try my best to be better at that! Thanks for your comment and for reading! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Shelly Upchurch says
Hi Scheaffer!
Do they run true to size?
Thanks!!
Sheaffer says
Hi Shelly! Yes, they are true to size! I’m wearing a 27! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

Those AG jeans look fantastic on you. I don’t like the ripped look for myself so I will not be trying them. I do love my paige jeans (transcend skinny ankle) for a similar fit. I also want to thank you for the white jean recommendation – I bought your favorite pair and they look awesome on me. Three other ladies at my office wanted to know where I got them from and want to buy them too (one ordered them and I think the others’ sizes were out for now). I do think they run a tad on the big side but they are so comfy and look great. I also tried your cork and brown UGG sandals – definitely need a 1/2 size up on the cork. Unfortunately, neither worked for me. The cork were hard and not comfortable enough for me and the Uggs were a bit tight in the toe box. Oh, but I love the Sam Edelman Felicia nude flats, I did buy those, they even come in wide. Super comfy and I love them. Thank you for your recommendations!

I don’t have this pair, but AG are absolutely great fitting jeans! I love that I don’t always have to get them altered because most designer jeans I do. I’ll try this fit once I’m no longer pregnant. 🙂 Thanks for the rec, as usual!
