The rattan cross body bag is darling.  It’s a really pretty honey color with a darker leather strap and leather snap.  It’s quite sturdy and roomy enough to hold my cell phone, keys, make up essentials, and small wallet.  I love this bag.

These studded sandals are FABULOUS.  I was immediately drawn to the neutral version, but they also come in classic black, a funky clear, and an edgy snakeskin.

I don’t usually love a strap across my ankle in a flat sandal because I feel like it cuts me off and makes my legs look short, but that’s not an issue with these at all because of the neutral color!  They have a cushioned sole, are true to size for me, and are quite comfortable which is an absolutely MUST for me in a shoe.  It seems from reading the reviews that if you have a wider foot, you might consider ordering up a 1/2 size.

They are different than any sandals I’ve ever owned, AND I LOVE THEM.  They’ve added some fun to my wardrobe, and I’ve been getting complimented on them like crazy.

Here’s the necklace with the dalmation print dress that I first showed you a couple of weeks ago.  The dress is crazy soft and has a great little puff sleeve.  If you don’t like this print, there are other prints and solids to choose from.  For size reference, I’m wearing the small.

MY FACE MASK

This is the face mask I was wearing above, I just wanted to show you a close up of it since it is my GO TO mask.

Although it comes in several colors/patterns, this “engineered stripe” is my favorite.  I wasn’t sure about it the first time I put it on because it kind of sits off the face (below the nose) a bit, but that is now my favorite thing about it because it gives me a little extra breathing room which I really appreciate!  I also love that it has the metal nose piece, because that helps it stay put.

SWEET BOYS

On Wednesday night, Chris and Carter were hanging out upstairs.  The dogs have free reign downstairs, but we don’t let them go upstairs much.  Well, they certainly wanted to be up there with their boys.  They really are the sweetest pups EVER.

After having the cognac version for a couple of weeks, I could no longer resist the the gold. They are incredibly comfy, have a super padded foot bed, and they are just dang cute!

After wearing the cognac ones non-stop, it just made sense for me to grab the metallic ones too.  They arrived last Friday, and they are even better than I imagined.  They look SO GOOD with a tan, and they are comfy enough that I’ll even slip them on to walk the dogs.  THEY ARE THAT GOOD.

This is a great outfit now, but it will also transition beautifully into early Fall.

This striped puff sleeve tee is also part of the collection and AWESOME.  It’s soooooooo soft, it’s got a little bit of stretch, you know I love the stripes, and the subtle puff sleeve is perfection.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This ruffle eyelet trimmed tee is absolutely precious.  It’s got a great amount of stretch, and it’s fully lined.  I love it worn super casually with denim shorts, but it’s definitely nice enough for office wear too!  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

The denim shorts are from Amazon, and I grabbed them because they reminded me of my Blank NYC favorite shorts that I’ve been screaming about for a couple of years that are now sold out.  They aren’t as good as the real thing, but they are a nice alternative.  They are SUPER stretchy, and they have a cuff and some distressing just like the Blank NYC shorts.  The wash is lighter than I thought it was going to be, and I’m wearing the “blue”.  Looking at the options again, I think the “denim blue” are darker and would have been a better choice if trying to get the look of the Blank NYC shorts.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.  They are pretty short though, so keep that in mind.

ANTHRO DAY

So here’s the story.

Last month I went in to Anthropologie to return a dress (right when the stores opened back up), and I ended up trying on a handful of items.

WELL.

I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS BLOUSE.

I thought it was $88 (and on sale), but I was wrong on both counts.  #BIGoops

When I got up to the counter, I returned a dress, and I got this blouse.  To be honest, I wasn’t really paying attention to my refund and the fact that I wasn’t getting very much money back.  I checked out and headed out on my merry way.

The next morning I had a doctor’s appointment, and I was excited to wear my new top.  I went to take off the tag, and that’s when I saw how much it cost.  It was 20% off when I got it (and remember I was returning a dress at the same time), but this blouse is $148.

I KNOW.

I think this is the by far the most I’ve ever spent on a top.

However, I went ahead and ripped the tag off and wore it.  And I’ve worn it two times since then.  BECAUSE I ADORE IT.  I love the colors, I love the patterns, I love ruffles, and I love the fit.  I hesitated to even show it because I fully realize that paying this much for a top is borderline crazy, but I know I’m going to wear the heck out of it.  So I kept it.  Please don’t judge me.  #orleaveahatefulcomment  Hahaha!  For size reference, I’m wearing a small (and it’s still oversized).

UPDATE:  This blouse has 1000% been worth the price tag for me.  I’ve reached for it most of the times I’ve left the house, and you wouldn’t believe the compliments.   I love it so so much.

SOME OUTFITS OF THE DAY

I wore this when I went to get my hair cut and colored earlier this week.

I grabbed this tie dye tee from Amazon, and there are sooooooooooooooooo many colors to choose from.  The one I’m wearing is the “Saturn”, but there are several that I really like.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I’ve had this swim cover up all summer, but I keep forgetting to show it to you.  It’s short, but I don’t mind that in a swim cover up, and I love the pom poms.  For size reference, I’m wearing the small-medium.

And if you haven’t tried the hair products yet, I HIGHLY recommend them.  The Quench and Shine Restorative Mask conditions my hair beautifully and leaves it sooooo soft, while taming fly aways and frizz.  I use this product every 3-4 washes. I put the Smooth and Shine Hair Serum on right after I dry my hair at night, AND MY WORD it makes it so smooth and shiny!  It’s incredible.  The microfiber hair towel works like a freaking charm. After brushing my hair and ringing it out a couple of times, I wrap my hair up in this for at least 10 minutes (longer if time allows).  It pulls the moisture out of my hair and really cuts down drying time with the dryer.  (I’ve tried the shampoo and it was good, but I really love the products just mentioned.)  My mom and sister use them too and swear by them.  My mom credits these products for restoring her hair to a healthy and shiny state.

19 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

On Tuesday, Chris and I celebrated our 19th anniversary.  19 YEARS!  How in the world are we old enough to be married 19 years???  I shared this pic on instagram, and everybody was so sweet with their comments!  Yes, we had a big wedding party and a large wedding.  It was wonderful.

I thought I would share a few more pics with you since everybody seemed to enjoy the little peek at the wedding so much.  (I had to fight the urge to not post 50 pictures today! Ha!)

We got married at St. Michael and All Angels in Dallas.  It was the church Chris grew up in, and his parents married there too which was so special!  The church is absolutely gorgeous.  That wall is white marble and there are angels carved out of the marble.

Me and my girls.  9 bridesmaids and 2 junior bridesmaids.  The “Holy Wedding Party!” comments cracked me up on instagram.

My family.  Gosh, my mom and I look alike here don’t we?!?

All the girls on my mom’s side of the family!  Do you remember Holt and how so many of you prayed for him during his battle with cancer?  That’s his mamma, Alden, on the left (she was just 13 here)!  And that’s my mom’s mom directly to my left.  We were so thankful that Mammaw was able to be at the wedding.  She had been diagnosed with cancer and had undergone treatments and had been quite sick for several years before the wedding.  She was feeling great for the wedding and had the most amazing time.  And how precious was she in her little blonde wig!  She passed a couple of years after the wedding, but we are so thankful for the extra time we had with her.

Chris and I both went to OU, so we grabbed a pic with all of our college friends. #boomer

Goodness I would love to be in a room with all of these people again!

We danced the night away.

Such wonderful memories.
