Friday Favorites: FLAT LAY FRIDAY

It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means!  It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!

I’m going to call it FLAT LAY FRIDAY!  #becauseimcreativelikethat 😉  You’ll get to see many of these outfits on me next week, but today you get to see the outfit plans.

OUTFIT #1:

I could wear this every weekend and be happy.  I sized up to a medium in the tee and it’s pretty slouchy, but I like it.  I have a 27 in the shorts, if between sizes, size down.  Size up 1/2 a size in the sandals.  I LOVE THEM.

OUTFIT #2:

In April I have an event to attend that’s around a rooftop pool at a hotel. I felt like this will be perfect.  Right?  I got a small in the romper, and the wedges are true to size.

OUTFIT #3:

You saw this lace top on the blog last week (click HERE to see it on me)…and here it is with different earrings and a clutch.  I’m in between a 4 and a 6 in the top, but I’m hoping in a couple of more pounds the 4 will fit perfectly! The wedges are true to size (but some are saying to size up a 1/2 if you have wide feet).  I have a 27 in the jeans, size down if between sizes.

OUTFIT #4

This top was a total splurge (also Anthro), but I love it so much.  I have an event in mind that I’m wearing it too, or else I probably wouldn’t have made the splurge.  The colors are gorgeous in person,and the square neckline is so interesting. I sized up to a medium because the small pulled across the chest.  Size up a 1/2 in the sandals.  I have a 27 in the jeans, size down if between sizes.

Oh, and the necklace is a new favorite.  I don’t even really consider it a splurge because I know I will wear the heck out of it.

OUTFIT #5

You know this tee and this denim jacket are long time favorites, and I couldn’t resist this skirt.  It has embroidery AND pockets.  Well played, LOFT.  😉  I sized up to a medium in the tee and the jacket.  I’m wearing  a small in the skirt, but I’m actually going to try the x-small.  Or maybe the petite small.  It’s a little big in the hips, and a teeny bit long for my liking.

OUTFIT #6

You saw this sweater on me last week with white jeans and a denim jacket (click HERE for the post).  Well, look how pretty it is with these blush jeans!  I”ve had several of you reach out asking if I had received the jeans yet and what I thought about them.  Here’s what I think:  they’re awesome.  They are a very pale and soft blush (which was what I was wanting), and they are super stretchy and comfortable.  I have a small in the sweater, but if you don’t have a large chest, I would suggest sizing down.  It’s quite roomy.  I have my regular size 27s in these jeans, and they are wonderfully soft and stretchy.

OUTFIT #8

Y’ALL.  This outfit!!!!!!

I sized up to an 8 in the button up (I often do this in button ups to prevent pulling), and I love the fit.  I’m wearing a 27 in the shorts, but size down if between sizes.  Size up a 1/2 in the sandals.

And these earrings are quickly becoming new favorites for me.  They are just so fun!

So there were supposed to be 8 outfits today.  However, like I told everybody on instagram yesterday afternoon (make sure you follow me there), I went to the mall to make some returns, and I came home with a pair of sandals and 3 tops (including THIS EMBROIDERED NUMBER in the navy combo and THIS LITTLE TIE FRONT CUTIE in the olive green).  I think I must have blacked out.  😉  Don’t worry, I’m okay now.  The shoes made me all better.  SO CUTE and SO COMFY!  I went with the vibrant orange, but this pair comes in tons of colors.

So, you are going to get a BONUS OUTFIT #9 today because I couldn’t wait to share a couple of my new finds!  I have a medium in the tee, a 27 in the shorts (these are great for those of you that want a non-distressed pair), and the sandals were true to size for me as well (go up a 1/2 size if between sizes).  The tee is thin, but a cami isn’t required because of the scene on it.

AND GIRLS.  How cute is my tote?  I’ll be featuring it in a Vince Camuto post sometime in the next couple of weeks, but I thought it was so cute with this tee and couldn’t wait to share it!

Here’s a close up of the sandals. OMG.  They make me happy.   Y’all know I did the cognac sandal post last week where I showed you 4 different pairs of cognac sandals, and I ended up keeping the strappy ones. I had thought about keeping a second pair (the criss cross ones), but now I’m so glad I didn’t! Because I got these beauties!!!!! They weren’t available last week (which is why I didn’t review them then), but they are now! I got the vibrant orange, but they come in tons of other colors too (including cognac)! These are actually true to size for me (but with no extra room), so I would go up a 1/2 if you are sometimes in between sizes.

And just in case you need to see a visual, these were the 4 things that jumped in my bag when I blacked out yesterday at the mall.  😉

And I always like to end Friday with a review from the week in case you didn’t get a chance to catch the other posts.

On Monday, I shared a watch with a cause.  And I was wearing a new layered flutter sleeve sweater that I new all of you would love.

On Wednesday, I shared some pom pom scarves and showed you how I wear them as cover-ups!   The A.C. girls extended the code that will get you the scarf for $8 (regularly $30).  And yes, I got a spray tan in preparation for the pictures because I was so white I was almost glowing. 😉  Click thru to see all the pictures!  You probably need at least 2 for yourself, and they make AWESOME gifts!
