It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!

I’ve been seeing this Free People top ALL OVER BLOG LAND for awhile now. I finally broke down and ordered it earlier this week. #allthebloggerstoldmeto 😉 AND GUESS WHAT, NOW IT’S ON SALE (and comes in lots of different colors)!!!!!!
For size reference, I’m wearing a small. HOWEVER, I want to see how the x-small fits, so I ordered that one last night. I love how this one is long enough for leggings, but I think the x-small might be long enough as well….and since I plan on wearing this top with jeans too (with a 1/2 tuck), I want to see if a smaller size might be better overall for my 5’4″ frame. If you are planning on only wearing it with jeans, I would recommend to DEFINITELY size down at least 1 size. I’ll be wearing it all the way into spring with ankle jeans and converse.
The sleeves have thumb holes (which I love), and it has a great swing fit. The neck is wide, so I think it’s best worn with a lace bralette peeking out. (Just like I did with the top, I finally caved and ordered the Free People lace bralette. I loved the straps and the look of it, but it does not work for me. I definitely need more support and maybe a little bit of padding.) I would love suggestions for bralettes you ladies love in the comments!!!
Also, some of the reviews do mention that you have to trim stray threads off after washing it, but I like it so much, I’m fine with the idea of doing a little trimming every so often!

My leggings from this year are sold out, but I keep hearing about THESE LEGGINGS from BP. LADIES. They are ONLY $19. And they have GREAT reviews, especially for the price.

I wore this next outfit last week to run around town one day. You’ve seen every single piece in the outfit before, but I’d never put them all together. I liked the result!
This is of course the same twist front fleece sweater you’ve been seeing on me for the last several months. It’s still just as soft as ever, and I love how flattering the twist makes the fit. I’m wearing a small in the top (it’s a bit oversized) and a 27P in the pants (I’m almost 5’4″). These pants are incredibly comfy and a great alternative to jeans.

If you’ve been reading the blog for awhile, you know that my Gorjana circle hoop earrings are by far the most worn earrings I own. I’ve been wearing them for the last 3 years now. I wore them yesterday in fact!
Everybody loves them, but they are definitely expensive, so I know that’s a real drawback.
Well, I found these yesterday! The outer circles are almost the exact size of the Gorjana hoops, and I love the added details of the inner circles. And instead of $60, they are $35! MUCH MORE reasonable! I purchased them (of course), so get ready to start seeing them in outfits all the time!
They come in this great brass and a silver.

If you follow me on social media, then you saw me post this blouse earlier in the week.
It’s great with jeans (I’ve worn it with skinny jeans too), but it would be awesome for the office with dress pants or a pencil skirt! In fact, my sister is showing it in her next WORK WEAR post too (click HERE to see all of her WORK WEAR posts)! She has it paired with red skinny ankle pants!
On Thursday night, LOFT was running a special where the code would get you $50 OFF your $100 purchase with the code SCORE. I’m hoping the promotion is still happening!

I ran to the mall yesterday, and I was feeling pretty festive in my red sweater in February! You’ve seen the sweater several times already, but this would be perfect for any Valentine’s Day parties you might have coming up, and it would look great paired with some fun pink sequin earrings!
I’m wearing a small in the sweater, and it’s definitely roomy. I’m wearing a 27 in the jeans, and the sneakers are true to size too.

A couple of weeks ago on Instagram stories, a ton of bloggers were tagging each other to share 5 things that others might not know. Just in case you missed it, here are my 5:
- My middle name is Sheaffer. My first name is Lauren. My parents have always called me Sheaffer.
- Chris and I started dating when we were 16 years old. About a year into dating, we found out we had gone to the same preschool because we saw a picture that we were both in!
- I was on Country and Western dance team in high school. I swear it was cool. But really. It was.
- I always thought I wanted to be an actress when I grew up. I was very involved in theater all through high school, but when I didn’t get one of the leads senior year, I switched gears and decided to be a speech therapist. I didn’t think I would be able to handle rejection the rest of my life. Ha! 🙂 Not getting that role was definitely a God thing!
- I only made 1 “B” in college…and it was in summer school at a community college. I scheduled a meeting with the professor and was all “I don’t make Bs”. And he was all, “Well you just did.’ HAHAHA!!! #rude

I don’t know about y’all, but a small purchase for the house can get me excited to get the entire place clean. Yesterday I picked up a new soap and a new dish towel from HomeGoods, so I came home and vacuumed the entire first floor and wiped down all the solid surfaces.
Here are some fun items for the kitchen:

Did you see my Bachelor posts this week? This week’s episode was EPIC. One girl talked about how she grew up in a bowling alley, which was supposed to explain her erratic behavior…and one said she would definitely munch on human flesh.
Part 1 can be found HERE.
Part 2 can be found HERE.
Have a wonderful weekend with your people!
Oh, and if you head over to my Instastories right now, you can see that I’m asking for questions from y’all for my next READER QUESTIONS post! You can click HERE to see the other 5 posts!

I love reading your blog and following you and your pups in Instagram! You mentioned vacuuming today and I was hoping you could tell me what vacuum you use! We have a lab that we love so much!! Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Teresa! Well, we wouldn’t really recommend this one. Our favorite vacuum that finally broke last year after years of use was discontinued. UGH! We tried this one out, but the attachments are always falling off which is super annoying. Sorry I don’t have a better recommendation. xoxo
Julie says
Try the shark navigator, Teresa! Way better than a dyson, and get 20% off at BBB.
Terri says
YES!!! The Shark Navigator lift away. Just purchased last week and it has put my Dyson to shame! Read about it on Veronika’s Blushing blog. I saw her recommend it then saw it on major sale at Meijer so I grabbed it.
Julie says
Thanks!
There is no link for kitchen items. Excited to see your picks!
Sheaffer says
Hey, Julie! Are you reading via e-mail? They are clickable thumbnail pictures that don’t show up on e-mails. I just checked and they are definitely there. Go directly to http://www.sheaffertoldmeto.com and see if you have better luck. Let me know!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

Speaking of cute things for your house where is that paper towel holder from??? So cute!!
Sheaffer says
HomeGoods of course!!!! It was several years ago, but they always have different ones to choose from!
Shay Shull says
I need those gold earrings in my life. Stat.
Danielle says

Sheaffer says
I heard that on instagram last night! Which specific one?!? Thanks for the tip, Danielle! xoxo, Sheaffer 😉
April Parrish says
Love the red sweater! Interesting facts about you! So glad Carter is able to play sports now. Hope y’all have a great weekend!
Tina says
I finally bought that twist front sweater! Actually it came in my Trunk Club box and I was so excited as I’ve been eyeing it for a while. I love it…so comfy! By the way…I don’t watch the Bachelor…but I live for your recaps…so funny!!
Paula says
Hi Sheaffer, I’m the same way with bralette’s I need the support and some padding. Target has a good selection of bralettes that feel much more secure, and they won’t break the bank so you can get several colors!!! Love your blog!
Sheaffer says
Great tip! Thanks, Paula!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

Bahahahaha the professor comment!!

That floral blouse really got me pumped for spring, it’s gorgeous!

I just read online that the Rizzo girl on The Bachelor was on a missing persons list in CA. I can’t wait to hear your take on that! You comment about your B in college brought back a memory of my own. As an education major at my university, students had to have an interview with a panel of professors for full admittance into the teacher ed. program. The children’s literature professor ( known as more than a little eccentric) was looking at my transcript and said “I see you got an A in children’s lit, who did you have?” I answered ” You, Sir”. He responded with “But I don’t give ‘A’s!” I only said “Well, you gave me one.” He just looked at me disagreeably over his glasses. It was over 30 years ago and still makes me giggle!
Kirsten says
Thank you for showing us what all the Loft clothes (especially the tops) look like on a real person. Their models are all built a little like hangers, with zero curves. Boo!
Lydia Sirugo says
Yes to this! I feel the same way about Nordstrom models also. I’d never considered either store much before Sheaffer’s blog came into my life!
Julee Patterson says
I saw your wood tray and thought it was so cute! Then that very day I saw one like it in my favorite local gift shop. But I resisted buying it because I wasn’t sure what I would put on it. Then last night my friend brought me tulips just like yours as a hostess gift (Super Bowl party where I did have queso and didn’t have your willpower). So today I had to go get that tray, and I’m so glad I did!
Kathy says
I wear a strapless bra under my bralette. Problem solved!
