Friday Favorites

It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means!  It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know about some of my favorite things!

I’ve been starting out my Friday Favorites post with a dad update, so here’s this weeks!  He is finally out of the hospital!  HOORAY!  Now, the doctors didn’t think he was quite ready to go home, so he was moved to a rehab facility. We’re hoping that he will stay there no longer than 2 weeks, and that he will soon be strong enough to finally head home after the short stint in rehab!!!  My parents are so glad to be out of the hospital that they are referring to the rehab center as vacation!  😉

You know I can’t go more than a week without sharing puppy pics.  One things for sure, our two newest family members love to snuggle.  Which is good, because we are a snugglin’ family.

Yep, Carter’s head is on Charlie, and Buddy is all sorts of comfy on Carter.  #snuggletrain

I’m feeling pretty good about myself because  I got our Christmas cards ordered earlier this week!  #GOME  I’ve used Shutterfly for the last several years, and I’m always very pleased with how they come out.  Click HERE to check out their Christmas card selection.  They make it very easy to drop your pics into the card designs, and they often run big specials.  Check to see if there is one today!

Monday was one of my favorite posts that I’ve ever done.   It was the first in a new series, and I named the series Style It Again, Sheaffer!  I took lots of familiar pieces, and I styled them tons of different ways.  After all, we all dress by wearing favorite items over and over again, right?  This series will help spark our creativity so we can continue to wear much loved pieces in new and different ways!  I would love it if you would check it out!!!

So I’ve ordered this new blardigan twice. And the order has been cancelled twice. And I’ve cried twice. #justkidding #kindof

It now looks like it’s back and FULLY STOCKED in both colors!!!

And you know what I think? I think this one is going to be just as easy to wear out of the house as the baby blardigan is. Actually, I wear all of mine outside the house, but I know some of you say you feel weird and don’t. Well, this one just looks like an amazing cardigan. I do feel like these should come with the following disclaimer though: PEOPLE WILL PET YOU.  You also need to be prepared that your kids are going to want to snuggle all the time.  I’m not kidding.  It’s glorious.

Before we move on from LOFT, I want to highlight some of the items that will probably be in my post next week.  I haven’t planned exactly what outfits I’m going to highlight, but I can tell you that I’ve already purchased and love the following 2 blouses.  Both of them have smocked sleeves, a great fit, and are gorgeous in person.

Both blouses will look great with jeans and boots, but both will also pair beautifully with skinny work pants or trousers.  Imagine the red blouse with skinny ankle pants, high black heels, and sparkly jewelry for a holiday party!

I actually got a lot of questions and feedback from y’all about this particular outfit.

I had questions on if this was a jacket you could wear all day.  The answer is YES, DEFINITELY! It really is buttery soft and so comfy.  I could even wear this jacket while sitting around the house and not feel weird doing so.  A couple of you went to the store and scooped it up, and you are singing it’s praises too!  It’s a great jacket!

I also had lots of questions about the tee.  I’m not wearing a cami with it here, and I won’t ever feel like I need to if I’m wearing a 2nd layer with it.  If I’m wearing it on it’s own, I will wear a cami because although not really see through, it is pretty thin.  And although long enough to wear with my new favorite leggings (size down), I won’t wear it with the leggings without a 2nd layer over it.

Conner has a WORK WEAR post coming up, and everything is from Ann Taylor.  Everything is soooo cute (she’s already sent me some of the pictures), but she is HEAD OVER HEELS over these leopard wedges.  And they are on SUPER SALE (reg. $158..now 40% OFF of $90!).  That makes them ONLY $53.93!!!!!!!!  WHAT A DEAL!  Conner says the wedges are “true to size and extremely comfy.  Can wear them all day!  Feet don’t hurt and you won’t get blisters.”

And the dress is a great basic black dress (that’s 40% OFF right now!).  It’s got a little extra oomph with the ruched sleeves, but it’s a classic that will never go out of style.  Conner loves that it has sleeves for the office, and I love it paired with the leopard wedges!  She also said it could be dressed up for a wedding with fancy jewelry, but it’s basic enough that it would also be very appropriate for a funeral.   The dress is true to size as well.
