It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know about some of my favorite things!
Let’s kick off today by talking about one of my very favorite boutiques. I’ve talked about Social Threads a couple of times before, but today I’m highlighting TONS of goodness!
Let’s start off with this OH SO COZY sweatshirt. It’s got an interesting uneven hem and seams that give it great detail. But girls. The best part about this sweatshirt is definitely the cozy factor. #becauseitsoffthecharts
I’m wearing the small, and it’s definitely loose and oversized. If you’re a teeny tiny person, this might not work for you, and that makes me sad for you. 😉 On the other hand, it’s a cozy sweatshirt, so maybe it could still be done?
If you see me several days in a row, and I’m in the sweatshirt everyday, try not to judge. 😉

The lighting was weird on this day, but I grabbed the picture before heading out the door. This was me on the way to grab Carter at the bus stop earlier this week. I’d been cozied up in it at home all day (with allergies) in a pair of pajama shorts, and I couldn’t bring myself to take it off (even though it was over ninety degrees). I was seriously warm at the bus stop (DUH!), but my neighborhood mamas loved it!
And how cute is my hat.

Oh! The sweatshirt comes in blush and in grey too (but the inventory is low in these colors). This is a top that I know I will reach for again and again. For staying in, for running errands, and if I know me (and I think I do)…..I’ll be taking it to the ranch every single time we head there for the weekend. The blush would be awesome with grey jeans too.
And let’s be honest, I think I’m going to need THESE to go with the sweatshirt. The site says the pants run small, and they recommend sizing up. YES, MA’AM. Nobody needs sweats that are too tight.
I might never leave my house in this outfit. But if I absolutely HAD to (to go on a taco run or something) ;), the outfit would be so cute with a pair of New Balance sneakers. Although the Converse below are super cute with the pants as well. You can click HERE to shop the entire Lounge Shop (you know, if cozy is your jam).
In addition to the sweatshirt, they also sent me this ruffled tweed jacket! I sized up to a medium in this jacket, and I definitely needed it in the chest and the arms. It’s lined, so it’s actually pretty warm, but the 3/4 sleeves will keep you from wearing it on a reallllly cold day. It packs a lot of style with the tweed material, the tiny peplum hem, and the snazzy pleated ruffles!
I’ve had a lot of questions about my wedge boots. They’ve been restocked in my “mushroom” color, and YES…they are incredibly comfortable. I have not worn them for a full day yet (because all the talk of cold fronts have been LIES), but I’m confident they are going to be ALL DAY COMFY status. 😉

I wanted to show you that the jacket was cute with regular ol’ denim too. Below I’m wearing my pajama jeans, but I would really prefer this next look with darker jeans like THESE (also made by Articles of Society).
And before we leave Social Threads, let me show you one more item…
Good camo pants are soooooooooooooo hard to find. I’m extremely picky about the color and the camo pattern, as well as the fit. Well, these just might be the perfect camo pant. The zippers on the pockets and the overall color (and the fit) remind me very much of my first camo pants from GAP that I LOVE. I just wish I could still fit into them. #thesize26shiphassailed
Speaking of, the site says this brand runs a bit snug, so they suggest sizing up. I normally hate doing that, but these pants seem totally worth it. (Fyi: you can find the sweater she is wearing HERE.) I wear my camo pants with cream, grey, black, and wine tops. I also LOVE wearing them with blush! This sweater (that comes in black, grey, and blush) would be great with them in any of the colors! And I pair my blush Madewell tee (still on sale) and my MUST HAVE Denim jacket with mine all the time. Oh, and they would be great with the white, grey, or wine peplum long sleeve tee of mine too! Just in case you need some styling ideas! Okay, I’m done now.
See? They’ve got so much great stuff. Click HERE to check out all of their new arrivals!

I ordered this sweater because I was drawn to the color, but I wasn’t sure about the buttons.
WELL. MY GOODNESS, HOW I LOVE THESE BUTTONS.
It’s soooo cute on (you’ll get to see it on me on Monday’s post), but it’s ON SALE right now, so I had to let you know about it! The neckline is so different and soooooo flattering. It comes in Navy too, just in case you aren’t a red person. For size reference, I got the small/medium. It’s a slouchy fit (but not sloppy), and that’s how it’s supposed to be!
I paired it here with my pajama jeans and my heeled booties (that are now ON SALE as well)! As we move into fall, I think I’ll be wearing it more with these dark wash jeans (from the same maker) and my grey jeans.

Y’ALL. THIS PUFFER!
I’ve said this before, but I think Old Navy has spurts. Sometimes I hop online or run in a store and see absolutely nothing I’m interested in (Anthro is kind of this way for me too). Other times, I feel like I’m super impressed with their selection and running back and forth between all the things! That being said, I usually like Old Navy’s fall and winter lines the best, because I’ve always had great luck with Old Navy outerwear. I have a puffer jacket from there that’s probably 6-7 years old and a tweed puffer vest from 3-4 years ago, and I still wear and love them both.
I hopped online earlier this week, and this puffer called to me.
And I answered. #didntwanttoberude
I was having a hard time deciding between the camo and the blush pink…and then I started loving the white as well. (I have a black one from years ago, so that one was out of the running.) I think I’m going to go with the camo. Or maybe the blush. Or maybe the camo. #decisionsaretheworst Click HERE for the vest.

So I tried (and bought) a pair of wine jeans from the anniversary sale (I think they were Kut from the Kloth). I loved the color and was excited to be adding a colored pair of jeans to my closet. However, I pulled them out to wear them on 2 different occasions, and I took them off both times because they were uncomfortable. The jeans didn’t have enough stretch in them for my liking (Articles of Society have apparently spoiled me with the comfort factor of their jeans), so I ended up taking them back.
When I saw THESE I got so excited! They are the color I want AND they are Articles of Society, so I was thinking they would live up to my stretchy expectations. I was all ready to order them, but then I saw they have a 30″ inseam. DANG! My pajama jeans (I was hoping that they would be the same ankle length for me as my pajama jeans) have a 26 1/2″ inseam. So, if you are 5’4″ and don’t want ankle jeans….or if you are like 5’9″ and do want ankle jeans, you are probably going to want these wine jeans.
AND GET THIS. They are reduced to ONLY $36.97!!!!!! Click HERE to see all of the super reduced Articles of Society jeans.

I featured these items in a widget on Wednesday’s blog post, but after making the below collage for facebook and instagram, I felt like it should get a place on the blog as well!

I’m realllllllllllllllllly excited about this next item. Last year during the Anniversary Sale I got a pair of taupe Lucky booties. I’ve never met a bootie I loved so much, so I was hoping they’d come back with them this year. No such luck. I was so sad because I wanted those of you who didn’t grab them last year to have another shot this year. I loved the little ankle cut out, the small heel, the color, and the overall design…. PLUS they were incredibly comfortable (which is actually the most important thing of all for me).
WELL. My friend Erika found this leopard version! STOP IT! Yep, these babies are on their way to my house. If they fit like my taupe ones, then they will be true to size.
I decided to take a second and put together an outfit with these booties and the red sweater from above. I mean, DANG. This is a cute little outfit.

On Wednesday I told you that I was going to be sharing information about the Manda Strong Foundation’s 1st Fundraiser. If you have been reading the blog for awhile, then I’m sure you are familiar with my friend Manda. She fought cancer courageously three times in her life, and she kept her eyes on God the entire time. After her passing earlier this year, her family started a foundation in her name.
Many women battling cancer don’t have the same type of support system that Manda did, and the Manda Strong Foundation desires to help those women, spefically young mothers who are battling cancer.

My friend Candace (y’all know her because she was the 2nd Special Mama winner, and the inspiration for the contest!) designed a new tee! The goal of this Warrior Mom camo tee is to symbolize the determination of autism mamas that work passionately to care for their child(ren), advocate for their needs, and help them be as healthy as possible. It also has a touch of femininity, to remind of the beauty and love mothers bring to their homes and families. Click HERE to order the tee!
LOVE YOU, Candace! Look how DARLING you are!!!!

On Wednesday I asked for ideas for ways to continue to help storm victims. Here are 3 ideas that I received:
1) From Angela: My husband and I have been going to St. John USVI almost annually for 10 years and it was devastated by both Irma and Maria. The whole island had been without power since Irma and are in desperate need of all the help they can get. St. John Rescue is a very reputable organization that I recommend! Thank you again!
2) From Alicia: I would HIGHLY recommend Mercy Chefs for an outreach organization. I personally have worked with them and know the ethics behind it. Basically, they are volunteers chefs who immediately reach disaster areas and feed those in need, whether is is disaster workers, people who have nothing or local police/fire/medical teams. And not only do they feed them, but they feed them well. No cold boxed food. They give them chef-prepared hot meals. They are usually the first there and the last to leave. Click HERE to read more and get involved.
3) From Megan (a facebook friend): Puerto Rico is facing what local officials have described as a full-blown humanitarian crisis, with devastation they call “apocalyptic.” The island has virtually no running water or electricity; around 80 percent of the island’s crops have been destroyed. Nearly all 3.4 million residents need assistance recovering from the storm. One place to donate to this relief is HERE.
Thanks for all of the great ideas, ladies! There are so many people that need so much help right now. I know many of us have already helped, but I would love if we could continue to help, even in small ways. We can all continue to make a difference!

You’re gonna love those leopard booties! There were so many cute tops and jackets at the beginning of the post-I don’t even know where to begin! That ruffle tweed jacket was darling, you probably need all three puffers ;), and I can’t wait to see the holy buttons shirt on you!!

Those tops look so cozy!!! And those camo jeans are so cute too!

Hi Sheaffer! I love those Vince Camuto Fileana booties! Can you tell me if they fit you true to size? I swear since having my daughter two years ago I’m a size 7.25! So I’m never sure whether to get a 7 or 7.5! I’m needing COMFORT! My peep toe booties have all been hurting lately, and these look perfect! Thanks!
Sheaffer says
They are true to size for me, Heidi! These are a high heel, so they aren’t as comfy as my flat ones (obviously), but not bad! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Bev says
Hi Sheaffer!
I just saw that the Okd Navy puffer vests you highlighted are on sale today for $19.49!
Keisha Dawson says
I’m so jealous of those Article of Society jeans. I have bought 4 pairs from Nordstrom, but they just don’t make them long enough for those of us that are 5′ 10″. I need to know who I can convince for them to make their jeans in tall sizes!!!! 😉
Gail W. says
Sheaffer – Needing your expert opinion. I’ve got both the blue and grey sweatshirts in my cart. As much as I’d like both (like Buddy & Charlie!), I can only ‘bring’ one home. What would you think is more versatile? I’m a redhead with a closet full of both of these colors…
Sheaffer says
Hey, Gail! I think I’d go for the blue!!!!!!!!! It will be so pretty with your hair!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Suzy Acosta says
I definitely need to try one of those Old Navy vests! Love the pink colored one.
Lindsay says
SHEAFFER!! The taupe Lucky booties are back! I too bought them in the Nordy sale last year – I am sure based on your recommendation and also LOVE them. When I clicked on the leopard version, I saw the same Taupe cut out ones we have right there on Dillards website.
