It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know about some of my favorite things!
As always, let’s start out with a pictures of Buddy and Charlie. Because PUPPIES. It’s amazing to us how often we see one of them in the exact same position as the other one. I mean, they look like mirror images of each other! Search @ourgoldenpups on instagram if you want to follow along with them there.
BEFORE I START POSTING CLOTHING LINKS TODAY, I HAVE A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. 🙂 AS OF YESTERDAY, IF YOU WERE TRYING TO CLICK ON A LINK ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE, IT WOULDN’T WORK. IF YOU GO TO A PERSONAL COMPUTER, THE LINKS SHOULD WORK! THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY WORKING TO FIX THE ISSUE, BUT GOING TO A PERSONAL COMPUTER IS A WAY YOU CAN WORK AROUND THE ISSUES RIGHT NOW!
SALE ITEMS! You know I love finding great deals…and here are some I’ve found this week!
I’m not sure why, BUT THIS TOP IS BACK IN STOCK…..AND ON SALE!!!!! It was my favorite buy from the N Sale, but it sold out the first weekend, and I know a lot of you were bummed you hadn’t been able to grab it. I’m wearing my regular size small here, but I’m thinking I’m going to order a medium to have it a little bit oversized.

If you are going to splurge on a pair of jeans, my recommendation has been AG for about 3 years now. And this pair is ON SALE! LOVE.
Madwell tees are my absolute favorites. Some readers commented on facebook this week that theirs get holes. I probably have 6, and none of mine have had issues with holes, so I’m not sure?!? These three colors are ON SALE!!!! Click HERE for the tee. I size up to a medium for a slouchy fit.
If you follow me on social media, you already saw me posts these shoes earlier this week. Y’ALL! They are now 50% OFF, making them under $45! These will fly off the shelves, so hurry! (They are actually already almost sold out in chestnut, and I’m afraid the black and taupe aren’t far behind.) The sunglasses have been my favorites all summer long, and they are ONLY $12! The leopard clutch is so chic and fun, and it’s only $45! And these are the jeans I call my pajama jeans (because they are so dang soft and comfy), but they are also incredibly flattering and just under $60!

I got this 4 pack of stud earrings earlier this summer, and I’ve been wearing the heck out of them! I haven’t talked about them because they are hard to photograph….but now that the set is 50% OFF (making them ONLY $6.98), I HAD to tell y’all about them. #hadto My favorites are the pave bars and the little trillion czs, but the discs look very similar to my Gorjana discs that I wear all the time! This is a great set! (You can click HERE for a 3 pack that’s on sale as well and click HERE for a pair of textured hoops that are on sale!)
And while we are talking about earrings, check out this splurge vs. steal deal. If you are looking for a realllllllllly large STATEMENT EARRING for fall, these might be for you!

Several months ago I shared these Veggie Noodles with you, but they were the zucchini version. I wanted to love them, but I didn’t. I mean, I wanted them to taste like pasta…but you know what they tasted like? YEP, ZUCCHINI. #gofigure 🙂
BUT THESE BUTTERNUT SQUASH NOODLES ARE A DIFFERENT STORY. I’ve only had them one time so far, but I’m OBSESSED
I roasted them with a little olive oil and salt to get them soft (the directions actually say to sautee them). And then…
And then I topped them off with Prego and some parmesan cheese. I cannot put into words how much I loved this dish. AND it’s soooooooooooooo healthy! The entire box of noodles had 140 calories, 0 grams of fat, and 36g of carbs. The dish was creamy, rich, delicious, and it came together in under 10 minutes. The only drawback of this dish is that the box of “noodles” is $4.99. But $5 is totally worth it for me for a dish I love that is incredibly healthy as well!
Did you see Wednesday’s post? I tried to make a case for grey jeans, and I think I did a pretty good job! #ifidosaysomyself
Here are two more outfits with grey jeans. They are so versatile!
You can’t go wrong by just making it simple and pairing them with a black tee, turquoise, and a denim jacket. It would obviously look great with a white tee as well!

And here are some grey jeans (HOLLA!) with the floral version of the handkerchief top that so many of us already have in a solid color. I have it in orange and black, so I didn’t keep the floral for myself…but I did think it was very pretty! I’m wearing a small in the top, which is true to size for me. And I thought the floral print was lovely with the grey jeans.

You’ll be seeing this top on me next week, but here’s what you need to know. It’s oversized, perfectly slouchy, and crazy comfy. Make sure you size wayyy down. The one pictured is a small, but it was too big, so I immediately hopped on and ordered an x-small, which is now on it’s way to me! For sure size down 1 size, and maybe even 2!

Every so often I get a reader comment or e-mail that I want to share, and I’ve got one for you today. I think I’ve said this before, but out of all the e-mails I get, most are about three things: my favorite bra (or my favorite strapless bra), my favorite underwear, and blardigans.
Here’s one I received this week: Also, on a side note! I have been considering ordering “the best strapless bra ever” for months, but I just kept putting it off. After one too many strapless ordeals this summer with my terrible strapless bra falling to my waist all day long, I finally decided to go for it and order based on your recommendation! It just come in and I promptly took it out of the box to “just try it on” for a bit. I literally don’t want to take it off!!! How did I go this long without such a great bra?! Thank you for constantly highlighting what a life changing bra it is! I’m so glad I listened to you! – Drew
I LOVE getting e-mails from y’all saying that you agree with and share my love for an item!!!!
Every so often I get questions about my hair and how I style it. Well, it’s not an easy or quick process. Boo! I dry it with a round brush AND I use these Big Curls Conair Rollers. My hair looks fine if I just round brush dry it….but the rollers smooth out the hair and add both body and fullness. They also lock in the curl.
I also feel like the rollers add a sheen to my hair. I guess the heat does that? I don’t know, but I like my hair sooooooooooooo much better after using the rollers. It’s more manageable and just looks better. I have lots of friends that go days and days without washing their hair, and it always looks great. My hair does not do that. On the days I don’t wash my hair, I still pop the rollers in it to give it a refresh.
I put one big velcro roller on the tippy top crown of my head (right behind my bangs), I use 1 hot roller right under that one, one on each side (right above my ears), and two in the back. I typically heat them up, take all of the rollers out of the case for about 45 seconds to let them cool off a bit, and then throw them in my hair. I don’t like tight curls (which is why I use a warm vs. a super hot roller), but the heat still helps set the curl and adds the body and volume I’m looking for!

That’s it for today, everybody! See you back here on Monday for Part 2 of The Case For Grey Jeans!

There’s no denying it-you MADE a case for grey jeans. :). I feel like I need to try those squash noodles STAT! And have we discussed hot rollers before? My eighth grade year my mom hot rolled my hair for me every single day!
First, the puppies are so cute!!! Second, I am still crushing on those gray jeans! ????
Awww that pic of the pups!! And OMG I need those noodles in my life! Where did you find them? I will gladly pay $5 to save me the time of spiralizing!!
Hi, Lizzie! I got them at Market Street! They were by the boxed lettuces and mixed greens! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Just a heads up: the ruffled sweatshirt top is not on sale in petite sizes, and regular sizes are pretty much sold out (only xl in gray, I think). I hate it when a store doesn’t treat all sizes the same with respect to a sale, so demerits to Nordstrom on this one.
I love those grey jeans, I love those butternut squash noodles, and I really love that you still use hot rollers on your hair! I didn’t even know they still made them! #takesmebacktohighschool
Gotta find me some squash noodles. I finally found riced cauliflower which has been all the rage. Love all these healthier alternatives!

I’m swooning over so many things…but the puppies and that red and white striped top take the cake!
If you placed an order with Nordstrom during the sale and then it was cancelled, Nordstrom will honor the sale price if the item is restocked. Just call Customer Service. They can look up your original order number to verify. They even gave me free two day shipping with my re-order. This happened with the sweatshirt but now it’s coming my way with the restock and the sale price!!
Thanks for the tip, Kathleen!

I was just wearing my Madewell v-neck yesterday and felt so cute and comfy all day long!
Mary Pearce says
Do u have have any recommendations for a skiing jean with frayed hem in a darker wash (not gray or black)?
Hey, Mary! I’m assuming you meant skinny jean and your phone did a weird autocorrect? Just clarifying before I try to find you one!
I love Madewell tees (well, everything from Madewell actually). I have 4 of the same one you posted and every single one has a hole in it! It’s so crazy, it’s almost in the same exact spot on each one. How do you wash yours? I’m guilty of washing and completely drying mine in the dryer to regain their shape, but since none of yours have holes I’m wondering if that’s the problem? Thanks!
Hi, Ashley! I was and dry mine with no special treatment?!? I mean, sometimes I’ll air dry and stretch them a bit if I feel they’ve shrunk over time…but they I always toss them in the dryer at the end to tighten them back up. I have no idea why some have trouble and others don’t?!? xoxo, Sheaffer

Just ordered that floral top! Love it paired with the grey jeans! I need to try out those curlers. Have a great weekend!

hey girl- love the post! such cool stuff! Y’all have a great weekend!
I’m loving the pics of your puppies, to cute for just cute, they are mega cute! :o) I got the ruffled hoodie back when you first introd. it. LOVE! I just ordered the FP tee and a new pair of chucks! You are sooo bad for my wallet but soooo good for my closet. :o)
Have you tried the carrot spirals at Trader Joe’s? Delicious and they cook up beautifully. Don’t waste your money on their frozen zucchini noodles, though. They turned into a gooey mess for me. Too much water content to freeze well.
My Madewell tees all seem to inevitably get multiple tiny holes at the bottom front (near where they hit the top of my jeans). I love the tees and continue to purchase them anyway! I’m almost always buying them when they are on sale so, if a $19.50 t-shirt lasts me a season, then I got my money’s worth!
Oh my gosh-those puppies!!!! Every time you post a picture of them, I want to reach through the computer screen and just squeeze them till they can’t take it any more! Interesting on how they do the same thing at the same time…

I can’t seem to get the link to the red sweatshirt to work.
Hi, Ashley! Links from mobile devices weren’t working earlier, but I think they’ve all been fixed! Try again! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

I hot roll my hair every single day after I have to wash it every single day. Another reason I love you! And we tried the sweet potato noodles this week. They were white, so I told my kids they were a type of hash brown. It didn’t work, but they were ok and only $4 at HEB. I’m not a squash lover, but I’ll have to try these now.
You sure that’s not one dog lying in front of a mirror? I kid, but I’m so jealous that you have these two sweeties and I don’t. I do have three dogs, but no puppies. My baby is three years old now.
I love Madewell tee shirts, too! However, the v-neck o e I ordered this spring now has a hole in the front. The rounded neck ones I got a couple of years ago are still holding up great.
I found lots of my favorite tees were getting small holes in the same spot right in the front of my shirt around my waist. I finally figured out my shirts were getting caught in my seatbelt every time I unclicked to get out of my car. Just a little bit of my shirt (tees only) would get pinched by a small plastic disk that is on the underside of my seatbelt in my SUV. So weird! After ruining several of my favorite tees, I was so glad to have finally figured out what was happening. My solution was to put a band aid over the plastic disk. No, it’s not very pretty, but you can’t see i,t so it’s not a big deal. 🙂

Where did you buy the noodles?
Hi, Sheilah! I got them at Market Street! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
