 I think they are going to be FANTASTIC for us girls on the shorter side, but I wouldn’t recommend them if you are over 5′ 3 1/2″.
And fyi, I plan on wearing this tunic with white jeans, black, jeans, and grey jeans!  I think it’s going to be so cute with my white jeans, booties, and a military jacket!

Favorite #6:
Seeing Old Friends
A couple of weekends ago I had my 20 year high school reunion.
I KNOW.
GASP.
I’m guessing you are probably all wondering how the heck that I’ve been out
 of high school for 20 years.

I left early Friday to go meet some friends for lunch.
I didn’t get a pic at lunch (shame on me), but this is what I wore!

Friday night the festivities included hanging out with old friends in the press box at the football game and then everybody meeting up at a local bar.  I had a blast getting to catch up with everybody!
Here I am with 2 of my high school besties!
Jill is the blonde (she lives in Houston with her hubby and 3 kids) and Kasey is the brunette (she lives in Denver with her hubby and 3 kids).
Kasey’s parents were out of town for the weekend, so we all stayed at their house and had a blast!

Saturday morning we slept in a bit, headed to lunch, did a little bit of shopping, and then went back home to help Kasey get the name tags ready.
I have a public service announcement for everybody to pass on to their kids right now:
NEVER run for class officer kids.
Because 20 years after high school you will be stuck planning a reunion!!!!  😉
Saturday night we all just met up at Oktoberfest in Lake Highlands!
I had THE BEST TIME seeing everybody, hugging lots of necks, and getting to meet lots of spouses!
I had the biggest smile on my face all night long!

We are all piled in Brandi’s car here because she was driving us one block to Mi Cocina (you know you gotta have a couple of Mambo Taxis before heading to a 20 year reunion) :).  We were going to Uber the rest of the night, but I thought this clown car picture was fun!

So this pic is Allison, Jill, Amy, and me in front of Amy’s old house.
Amy’s parents moved to a different part of Dallas years ago…but Allison thought it would be fun to make our Uber driver stop at her old house and Amy’s old house on the way to the reunion.
We hopped out at both houses and got pics!
If you think you recognize Amy from somewhere, you just might!
She’s been a working actress since graduating from SMU..and right now she is one of the central characters in Person of Interest!  Other big shows she’s been central characters in are Angel (the spin off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Alias with Jennifer Garner.  She’s also been in quite a few Lifetime movies and a whole lot of other shows that I can’t think of right now.
And she’s friends with lots of Hollywood big shots!  SO FUN!

Favorite #7:
My New Adirondak Chairs!
I ordered these babies from Joss and Main a couple of weeks ago, and they are perfect for our little front porch!
My exact chairs are sold out, but they have several available HERE.
This is the second time I’ve ordered from Joss and Main and I’ve been very pleased both times.

Our first purchase for the new house last year (before we even moved in) were these bar stools.

Favorite #8:
Pleione
I ran to the mall the other day and didn’t really have any time to try anything on (I was just making a couple of returns), but I saw two Pleione shirts that I had to try.

I was wearing a regular small (and there are lots of other color and pattern choices available).
Good with jeans, but they would also be great with dress pants.

I love it when Nordstrom price-matches other stores.
I’m not sure who they are price matching now (or how long these prices will last), but here are some of the deals to be had as of late last night.  Fingers crossed they are still available.
